My interpretation is that the kid being rude to the woman is meant to initially be depicted as a bratty kid giving attitude to a guardian character. She did say his home life wasn't great earlier. After looking at it again, it's more like a couple arguing. They treat each other as equals, and that's actually one of the ways that child predators use to target their victims by treating them as another adult, normalizing it. Maybe that last look that she gives him in the end is because she knows that what they're doing is wrong, but at most, the ending is left ambiguous.

As much as this may shock people and make people feel sick… it is a very important point to make. As someone who has been sexually assaulted when I was young, it’s very good to see that people are being made aware that not only can a predator be a woman, but they are very often quite trusted by the child/family. At the end there. And two, the most important part of all this in my opinion, being the literal ped0phile symbol that was intentionally thought of, created, put onto the set, and purposefully zoomed out to show in the movie.
This was put out in what, 2011? Maybe even before that. These symbols were not widely known about until 2016. The only time you’d see them is either in the official F.B.I report that showed those symbols, or from ped0philes.
Research the symbols for yourself. This isn’t something that can be argued. And the fact that it zoomed out to intentionally show this symbol spray painted on a kids play set, after being about what it’s about, with the lines they gave that kid. You’d have to be out of your mind or lying to say that this isn’t beyond blatant.

My interpretation is that the kid being rude to the woman is meant to initially be depicted as a bratty kid giving attitude to a guardian character. She did say his home life wasn't great earlier.
After looking at it again, it's more like a couple arguing. They treat each other as equals, and that's actually one of the ways that child predators use to target their victims by treating them as another adult, normalizing it. Maybe that last look that she gives him in the end is because she knows that what they're doing is wrong, but at most, the ending is left ambiguous.
The happy music at the end makes the viewer think "Oh that's nice". So, no, it's not left ambiguous, but they made it that way so they have plausible deniability.

As much as this may shock people and make people feel sick… it is a very important point to make. As someone who has been sexually assaulted when I was young, it’s very good to see that people are being made aware that not only can a predator be a woman, but they are very often quite trusted by the child/family. Unfortunately, in my case, they were a part of my family. Even more unfortunate is that I didn’t know that this kind of evil exists in this world. this is showing awareness of things that happen, we see serial killers protrayed every single day, we see rape on television, we see slavery and uncomfortable events in history, while all disgusting, its all here to show awareness, to show realities of scary things in real life, if you think that this is "normalizing" then whose to say all of your favorite serial killer movies and disturbing films arent "normalizing" that too?
