Absolutely the best idea piping it in except it could take a very long time but no doubt I’d say a cheap and very efficient install with the pipe yes yes yes 👍🏴

Will this product wash out when pressure washing? I'm looking for something to use between my patio slabs which are on sand. I was thinking kiln dried sand unless there's a better option.
Just kiln sand is not good it’s bound to wash out with a pressure washer. Joint it is ok as long as it’s forced in but never as hard as cement 👍🏴
I think you did the right thing here you just need to make sure the sub base is nice and permeable too, sometimes a sub base of 20 to dust compressed well barely drains at all then the water just pool below
Have a look at the nexus pro titan epoxy grout non permeable, you will only grout once, it is jet wash proof and good for large gaps, as for loose slabs, lift them up, brush off loose dust apply CT1 sealer to the high points on the mortar underneath, replace the slab and next day its will be solid and ready to grout. In my opinion this is by far the best grouting product on the market, not effected by water or frost like most permiable types, its expensive but you only grout once.
