One of the most freaky and stressful experiences I had with the alien was when it saw me, I pulled out the flame thrower as he started walking toward me. Awesome game for sure.
@@ryanfarrar9185 Electomagnetic impulse. Similar to a shark. Even though they don't have eyes, they are still able to project an image to their brain. Alien Covenant shows it from a green fisheye lense on how they see. It's more similar to radar than actual sight, but they seem to be aware of human actions like pressing buttons or in Aliens when the Queen and worker drones stopped pursuing when Ridley threatened an egg with the flamethrower.
What I love about this game or any Alien/Predator game....is that it shows humans as we truly are compared to these two...a fragile little creatures. Humans run from both, Predators hunt Xenos as the ultimate prey, Xenos hunt humans for food, Predators hunt humans for sport (lesser trophy,if worthy).
Remember when ign dissed this game for hard mode being "too hard" and the a.i being to smart? Lol I guess the bots from cod who just stare at you b4 they shoot on the hardest setting are what the world needs smh. This game is awesome and is what a HORROR game should be like. It's not simple and repetitive like every other horror survivor
I finished this on Switch while exclusively playing it with headphones on. Genuinely screamed at certain points but I love a good survival horror - admittedly the game is quite repetitive with the constant computer hacking and it’s a tad long but when it’s super simple and it’s you locked into a sector where you can hear the Xenomorph clanging about in the vents above…it’s beyond horrifying. The AI is truly brilliant, so unpredictable and made me shit my pants a few times. 5.9/10 from IGN because of frustrating AI?! It’s called playing the game stealthily, understanding all the radar cues and reacting to them. If the game had the exact AI routine it would be total wank. IGN blow my mind….let me work for them and sort things out there 🤣
There was a harder mode with a failing scanner right? I finished it on that difficulty and the Alien became just a nuisance because its movements felt unfair and frequent reloads were required.
The atmosphere is what makes this game great. The attention to detail makes you feel like you are actually there. The alarms and lights and the area looking legit af. Also, what we seen here, I am assuming you aren't on the hardest setting. That is when the game gets real fun and the terror really sets in. Especially if it's your first time and you play like death actually matters. Such a thrill. You can't go and experience that again so I make sure to do it right and truly earn it. Now imagine this with a vr headset and maybe some speakers to give you a rumble when he walks by? The stuff nightmares are born from.
Why do people want to play this? I mean I like watching the clips, but that's the most amount of stress I can deal with. I'd brick myself if I played it.
What's more exciting and thrilling is having no weapon to fend off the alien, cause we feel safe when we have something like that so putting yourself in a defenseless position is thrilling asf, you'll get that tension and feel the atmosphere of the game
Ever had the alien make that loud telltale hissing sound like it's suddenly seen you but it actually hasn't? Whenever it almost sees you and makes the hissing sound, like it's just doing a double take, those moments are terrifying because your breath catches in your throat and you can't tell if it's seen you or not.
How it jittered towards you at 1:01 like I was about to pounce legit made me jump, I swear this game is more cinematic than some movies even when it's not trying to be
Pausing at the end like that reminds me of my playthrough XD that shit was so intense I had to stop and calm down lots of times. When I got to the reactor core for the first time and the elevator doors open up I took one look and just turned my game off for a few hours lol
This game is the best simulator of a closet I have ever seen. I spent hours in the closets, looking through the small gratings and checking that motion tracker. That brings the term close quarter to a new level. So if you like to stay in hiding while shitting your pants and in-game progress is not that important to you ... Isolation is your game !
There's something that's so different about horror games compared to movies. Movies, you just sit there and experience it as it moves forward with or without you. Games actually force you to make the decision to leave the vent you've been hiding in to progress, and it's paralyzing.
For some reason this reminds me of a dream I had as a kid where there were so many xenomorphs in my neighborhood that the roofs and walls of the houses were just shimmering black. I had to double take even in Dreamland to confirm what I was seeing lmfao.

and just stood there staring at me waiting for me to make my move. That dead stare it gave off letting me know it will kill me as soon as I turned my back.
Awesome game for sure.
stare? i'm not familiar enough with xenomorph lore, so can xenomorphs actually see?
@@ryanfarrar9185 Electomagnetic impulse. Similar to a shark. Even though they don't have eyes, they are still able to project an image to their brain. Alien Covenant shows it from a green fisheye lense on how they see. It's more similar to radar than actual sight, but they seem to be aware of human actions like pressing buttons or in Aliens when the Queen and worker drones stopped pursuing when Ridley threatened an egg with the flamethrower.
This game nailed the the alien athmosphere to the T.
Absolute perfection. I couldnt imagine it being better tbh.
I'd love to play this but don't think my anxiety could take it. Played amnesia years ago. Don't know if I could do a game like it again.
Genetically modified hunter killer stalking you..
Barely hide under a desk and it wanders by aimlessly
1:01 "GASP".. oop nevermind
my thoughts exactly hahaha
God this is a masterpiece. Only letdown was no Queen at the end.
Good thing you wore your brown pants.
Heheh Deadpool reference.
Ah man playing this game was like watching Alien for the first time again
IGN blow my mind….let me work for them and sort things out there 🤣
The game ran good on the switch? Just curious
No matter where I am in this game. As soon as I hear something off the corner of my ear. I feel so exposed
There was a harder mode with a failing scanner right? I finished it on that difficulty and the Alien became just a nuisance because its movements felt unfair and frequent reloads were required.
The tone of this game is so spot on. It seriously feels like you're in the old movies. I adore this game!
Wow that alien is dumb if it cant find you under the desk
It really isn't.
it seems he's most likely playing on novice difficulty
Have you played the game?
People just really really love horror and love getting scared so it's an acquired taste. Helps a lot if youre playing with a friend for company.
What's more exciting and thrilling is having no weapon to fend off the alien, cause we feel safe when we have something like that so putting yourself in a defenseless position is thrilling asf, you'll get that tension and feel the atmosphere of the game
I've known him to just walk past an automatic door for it to open, with me stood on the other side in full view, and he just ignores me.
The thumbnail looked like the alien was moonwalking.
that was amazing and the pause at the end made it better i was oh shit for a second too
Ever had the alien make that loud telltale hissing sound like it's suddenly seen you but it actually hasn't? Whenever it almost sees you and makes the hissing sound, like it's just doing a double take, those moments are terrifying because your breath catches in your throat and you can't tell if it's seen you or not.
How it jittered towards you at 1:01 like I was about to pounce legit made me jump, I swear this game is more cinematic than some movies even when it's not trying to be
This game makes me feel that we have vents and air ducts in our house
Sheesh i let out a massive sigh of relief and felt like I could breathe again after the video ended XD
Aliens like that are my biggest fear you can’t pay me enough to play alone
Playing this on hard mode made my blood pressure rise.
1:02 the way his head snapped to look right at you 😂😂😂
Pausing at the end like that reminds me of my playthrough XD that shit was so intense I had to stop and calm down lots of times. When I got to the reactor core for the first time and the elevator doors open up I took one look and just turned my game off for a few hours lol
They did a good job with the realism
This game is the best simulator of a closet I have ever seen. I spent hours in the closets, looking through the small gratings and checking that motion tracker. That brings the term close quarter to a new level. So if you like to stay in hiding while shitting your pants and in-game progress is not that important to you ... Isolation is your game !
1:00 that glitch tho hahaha
1:22 The brass balls you have to have to do this with the Alien RIGHT there in the background.
There's something that's so different about horror games compared to movies. Movies, you just sit there and experience it as it moves forward with or without you.
Games actually force you to make the decision to leave the vent you've been hiding in to progress, and it's paralyzing.
The way this game fucks with your anxiety is worser than getting caught by the xenomorph. Lol
2:44 Moment to Cry.
For some reason this reminds me of a dream I had as a kid where there were so many xenomorphs in my neighborhood that the roofs and walls of the houses were just shimmering black. I had to double take even in Dreamland to confirm what I was seeing lmfao.
Ох, это было очень близко..
I remember passing the entire game crawling on the floor and hiding 🤣🤣🤣
