Thank for this upload. I was very fortunate to meet and work with JL in the 90's as his personal security while he stayed in Melbourne when on tour. A genuine, caring and extremely funny man, who engaged with those around him. A truly wonderful man who left me with many stories to pass onto my grand children.
Thank you for this great compilation of some of Jerry's films. I started watching Jerry and Dean Martin's comedies in the late 50's and through the '60s and he influenced my sense of humor in school. His talent is not to be underestimated...but unfortunately, many feel he was too "over the top".
Jerry was much more than a comedian. He was an all around entertainer. He could sing, dance, play piano, act in drama, but he loved to make people laugh. He was one of the most benevolent stars I have known, working tirelessly year after year for muscular dystrophy. He gave a lot to this world. One of the best.
Jerry Lewis made my adolescence much lighter.. As an adult I came to admire him for his fund raising telethon in favor of the muscular distrophy association. R.I.P. Jerry!
I was thinking how great the music was on his movies. He probably had something to do with choosing it as a much valued producer. Especially on disorderly orderly!
Cinema needed people like him, but there weren't many of them. Very animated, funny visually as well as with words and sounds. There was always something about a Jerry Lewis film. His first solo film The Delicate Delinquent is a masterpiece. One of his best.

Of all the comedians that we loss,Jerry Lewis has & always will be my favorite comedian!! This is genial! When i was child and only can i do was saw black´n white tv, i saw very, very movies with Jerry Lewis. I laugth until today with his jokes. Wow! Pulling faces and shouting - this is the pinnicle of commedy. I also love in a best of compilation we see the same jokes multiple times - really speaks to the depth and breath of his writing. Great compliation that realy exposes the amount of tallent this guy had.
It's crazy that this was Jerry Seinfeld's roll model, but Seinfeld does absolutely zero physical comedy and meanwhile Jerry Lewis was the king of physical comedy.

Cinema needed people like him, but there weren't many of them. Very animated, funny visually as well as with words and sounds. There was always something about a Jerry Lewis film. His first solo film The Delicate Delinquent is a masterpiece. One of his best.

He was so unique and so funny and so over-the-top and brilliant is so many ways. He was blessed to have that face and do those expressions and movements. He made you laugh over and over and over again. And so verbally brilliant and fast and witty and sharp.

Mỹ mother always used to watch The Dean Martin Show in the 60s. I got hooked on his music and antics. Growing up in the 60s (nee 1957), I never knew of the Martin and Lewis team until I was about 11. Lewis probably would never have achieved the fame he did without Martin. Martin was an all around talent (singing and acting and straight man) and would have eventually became famous one way or another.
