I saw the threads are different on each side of the rim do you think one side of the axel is more screwed into than the other? Or would you have to get a bigger axel for pegs
Yo watch out cause I did the same on my old big flyer and then the brake rotor just gave of from the adapter and it happened to a lot of other people so I would suggest getting a good disc hub
Sup big guy just got my first big flyer, love the brakes. I see the brake adapter and I see the rotor size, what brand brake lever and caliper are you using on this set up.
Good parts ain’t cheap Cheap parts ain’t good I stand by this disc brake adapter it’s worth the money I’m talking me (200 pounds) flying down hills in New York the adapter held up well gave me no issues ⚡️
25 or 30 sprocket would make your gear ratio lower, you'll loose a bit of top end speed but you'll have an easier time pedaling. There's charts and math for that sorta thing
I have 3 se bikes right now, 2 blocks flyers and a so cal I want a fat tire bike what is my best option right now. Doesn’t matter the size or the brakes
It's unfortunate that you aren't old enough to to have experienced bikes when they really were cool. 83-88. By 88, everything that was badass was available. Modern bikes ARE NOT cool. The disc brake would have been cool. I had a chrome 84 Hutch Pro Racer. Everything was Hutch but the Cranks. Had Redline Flight 401s. Black Skyway graphite Tuff Wheels and Tioga gumwall tires. Dia Comp MX1000 brakes. Mini disc brake calipers and discs built in to the Tuff II gold star and hub would have been the schitt.
Love the conversion but I remember the throne goon wheels have longer axles if you want better clearance and so you can run pegs if u choose to
Just subbed steezo just ordered my CG pearl white big ripper and now seeing your video for upgrades!!!
I love the disc conversion for the ripper makes it really cut up bike is soo nice 🔥🔥🔥
It ain't ez being STEEEZZZZYYYYY 🔥🔥🔥
Adjust the hub bolt, steel 1/4" off the other side.
did you have to get new rims? can it go straight onto the v-brake rim? the disc brake rotor adapter
Love the color of the bike
Question, do you need to change the rims on a big ripper in order to convert it to disc brakes or can you use the stock ones?
I want him to reply to this
im pretty sure you can use the stock rims, you j need the mount for the disc on the axel
U need to buy a Hub so u can mount the disk
No u just need a new freewheel
you can use the stock hub. Take out the stock freewheel put a 15t on the smaller side and put a 6 bolt rotor adapter on the bigger side
What hubs did you use steezy
Love your videos ❤️❤️🤞🏼
Steezy can u put promax v brakes on any big wheel bmx bike
Bro. Thank you for this video 🐐🐐🐐
I saw the threads are different on each side of the rim do you think one side of the axel is more screwed into than the other? Or would you have to get a bigger axel for pegs
What are the wheel frames u bought to put on the bike
Yo watch out cause I did the same on my old big flyer and then the brake rotor just gave of from the adapter and it happened to a lot of other people so I would suggest getting a good disc hub
Yes thank you ! I’m aware of that probably gonna upgrade to a profile or box hubs
Also idk if you understand but I made more space for my axle I just swapped out the axle but on the inside to a thinner one
Did u use loctite? I basically have the same setup for 5 months and nothing has happened
@@raf1320 no

Do the disc break holders work on a big flyer ??
Did it work?
Did you swap yet ?
So instead of the 160 get the 180 even if the whole bike is stock?
I had to go with a big rotor with this set up for some reason the braking power is better anyways in my opinion
Can u do this with the mags?
2:26 what size are those tires?
29x2.8 speedsters
Y not keep the fat tires my friend ran a fat tire on a 2018 big flyer rim so u can deff put it on
Sup big guy just got my first big flyer, love the brakes. I see the brake adapter and I see the rotor size, what brand brake lever and caliper are you using on this set up.
im using shimano mt200 brakes and 180mm tektro rotor
Why is the hydraulic disc brake adapter so expensive?
Good parts ain’t cheap
Cheap parts ain’t good
I stand by this disc brake adapter it’s worth the money I’m talking me (200 pounds) flying down hills in New York the adapter held up well gave me no issues ⚡️
so you can't put pegs
i did this same thing on my big flyer but i can’t get my other peg on the disc side, can sb help i rlly want my 2nd peg

You can do it with your big ripper rims
@@SteeezyFilmzthank you bro appreciate it
Yo steezy i got a ros 15t freewheel but stock 36t sprocket. What sprocket size do u recommend getting to make it feel easier to pedal and wheelie
25 or 30 sprocket would make your gear ratio lower, you'll loose a bit of top end speed but you'll have an easier time pedaling. There's charts and math for that sorta thing
Can I put the same exact type of stuff you put on your bike for my blue se big ripper ?
Yes
Hi steeezy

You don’t need a new rim
@@SteeezyFilmz my big ripper dosent have a holder for the disc
