The old Samsonite suitcases all had latch closures. They had the problem that they could pop open when handed roughly.
Good to know! I haven’t experienced that with the level8 yet and I’ve thrown it around pretty good.
@@madetoexplore I think the lock helps. The Samsonites had a lock in the middle which could also pop open. It was keyed with 2 small hooks to catch into the other side. For what it is worth, I doubt you’ve come close to throwing your carry on around as much as baggage handler used to. Are you old enough to remember that American tourist or did? They had a gorilla in a cage, with a skycap on, sling the suitcase around the cage. The gorilla was obviously trained but it got some of their point across.
Am thinking about getting the luminous carry on, the only downside I see is that it's a bit on the heavy side with 7.7lbs. Some competitors are lighter so I could pack in more weight..

The aluminum carry on is beautiful and amazing but…. Can’t get over the $$… probably end up getting dented and stolen. Ugh.
Yes it is an investment for sure. That’s when the lock and an AirTag come in handy
Did you guys ever make that video comparing the level8 bag to Monos and Samsonite? Looking to buy one of these bags 😭
No we haven’t made it yet but hopefully soon! From our experience, Monos has a higher quality but Samsonite is a better budget option.
what's the actual dimension if the carry-on I need a 22 x 14 x 9 size , in my country our budget airline is so strict...thanks
