I wish Level8 would put the front computer pocket...into the back space of the Voyager. That way those trolley arms would act as a frame to put your laptop in-between. That would offer protection for your laptop/tablet, but also it would keep anyone from overstuffing the main compartment and could push or put pressure against your laptop area.
Thanks for this video. I will say both carryons seem great and convenient BUT the Voyager for shoe packing is absolutely awesome. That’s always an issue with carry ons. Purchasing mine today.
2 prime questions I have about these polycarb cases: 1. CheckIn cases More likely to ‘break’ and crack compared to soft luggage 2. (Applies to both) How secure are the zippers from the ‘pen intrusion’ method ? Somehow the zippers seem more exposed and the combination lock not that secure. Reviews should include information about this also. One more: 3. It can be difficult opening the cases (carryon and CheckIn) with the top half also packed. Compared to soft side which is a deep well type and just the top flap opens up
The newer polycarbonate material is very strong, light and more pliable than the older one. you can even twist the body and it just bounce back to shape.
Two of the 3 Voyageur dimensions are over the typical carryon limit. Have you tried this in an overhead bin that opens from the bottom or from the top? Does it fit in the metal sizer at the airport? Anyone tried this sizer with this voyageur luggage? Thanks.
We are flying Delta to Copenhagen and ordered the Roadrunner on your rec. . I just noticed that Delta’s carry on dimensions are 22” x 14” x 9” and the Roadrunner is 10”. Will they let us carry it on? Thanks!!

No zipper stands up to the pen. Your best bet is the covered zipper or zipperless cases.

Thank you for the detailed review. Is their surface smooth enough to put stickers on ?

I don’t think you’ll have too much of an issue. I haven’t run into any over problems with my carry ons before.
How do you hang suits… my cheap Atlantic has a holder for hangers…
they have a carry on with laptop chamber now
Can you compare the level 8 with mvst?
The only other one that has the wide handles is LV. 😢
Any other aluminum or polycarbonate carry ons with a outside pocket ?

Does the laptop compartment lock?
Yes. The button to release the laptop compartment locks as well
