They really do want your garment to be janky on the inside! I’m so glad you said it.

Right?! These Big 4 directions don't want to see us succeed sometimes 😅

Thank you so much for your review. My body shape is such that my waist (30 inches) puts me in a size 16. I only have the pattern range up to a size 14. You’ve assured me that the pattern runs large and I should be fine. Thanks for sharing. Pants are new to me.

I'm glad it was so helpful. Yeah the big 4 sizing can be all over the place sometimes. And then also depending on the fabric you end up using and where on your waist or hip you like to wear pants, there could be a huge range of sizes that work

Hello you just came across my video suggestion. When Vogue patterns say very easy, they mean for the experience sewer that’s why they don’t include those basic steps because they figure you already know those. Good review thanks for sharing 😊

Right?! When Vogue says it's easy I always raise an eyebrow 😅 I'm glad you like the review

I have been scared to venture into structured pants because of sizing! Do you usually go off of finished garment sizing or body measurements? They are always so different from each other.

I like the pants. You did a good job. The patterns in the 1970s would tell you to understitch and finish your seams. I believe the current patterns assume that sewists know when to undertitch, finish seams and staystitch.

I truly love vintage 70s patterns and really need to see more of mine. Thank you for the compliments! 😊 I think some of the modern "easy" patterns confuse quick with simple and try to just have sewists do less. At least I think that's true with some big 4 patterns

I'm stuck on the waistband! Can someone refer me to a good thorough tutorial? #beginnersewistlife

I haven't found a tutorial or sew along in TH-cam for it, but if you're on Instagram, you can make a party and use #sewingsos to get some help from the sewing community. Helped me before. What's the biggest issue?
