Chinese FM visits AU and Africa CDC headquarters in Ethiopia

- Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang on Wednesday visited the headquarters of the African Union as well as the Africa Centres for Disease Control in Addis Ababa on the second day of his visit to Ethiopia. Wednesday's meeting with AU chairperson, Moussa Faki Mahamat focused on building even stronger cooperation between China and the AU.

In looking at this Africa CDC headquarters, I told myself, Africans have the moral obligation to say thank to China.
no, africa should demand the chinese give more free stuff....... chinese are rich and needs to show to africa that china is sharing it's wealth , prove to the world china is nice people by giving africa free military ship, tanks, planes, and also free port, train, planes..... i would not respect the chinese until they give me stuff for free.

Just like we can give others in the proportion of what we can, the only thing we can except of others is the same. Again, no one else has thought of African Centre of Diseases Control and has invest in and today Africa has something like that, China is the one who has done it. Psychologically what can be its effects?
This center will revitalize the energies and organize them. Why? Because this center, implicitly will arouse the energies that will be passionate about it and spend time there, will be felt as time spent for a noble cause in a pleasant setting.

@Ndaliso Xozwa The difference of the approaches jndicates that the objective intentions are not the same. How many roads, motorways, bridges, city, railways, etc. Others have built for centuries, and how many of them China has built over a few decades?
The railway that links Nairobi to Mombasa, China, has built it, expressway in Nairobi, China gas built it A city in Angola, China has built it, a bridge in Dakar, Senegal, China has built it, China has built a Parlement in Zimbabwe and offered it to the people of Zimbabwe, etc, etc. If you're unfortunate enough in order to experiment with what others can do to people, then you can easily understand why they just can't do to a continent what China is doing. To the person they destroy everything that person may have realized without a single help from them and erect deprivation to make sure the person remains in misery, to make sure the person can not move forward. It is the same mindset that has been determined in Africa.
It is not about being pro China and cons others. It is about being grateful and thankful.

Although they are a bit extreme, Sun Yat-sen and Mao are great leader for uniting most of China after being divided by the West and Japan

China does not present the same history of slavery. colonialism, neocolonialism or genocide that is part of the west in Africa. They are better allies and partners that offers mutual respect and benefit.
Their offer of assistance towards the development of infrastructure, nuclear capabilities, energy and defense needs would NEVER be offered to Africa by Europe or the America

This is probably a trap. But can it be that bad? Looking at China's history they were not roaming around planet earth causing mayhem. So it does not seem to be part of their culture and also not part of their nature, even if they were to attempt to colonise Africa they would never do it through violence, more through economic extortion. of which meh can it be as bad as with the militarised westerners? It looks better up until now?
China has done well for that CDC , they are really helping. We need the people-to-people relationship to be stronger.

I have noticed that the CCP has changed it's approach towards the African continent which is quite clever. Nothing stopping the CCP from getting what they want and where they want to be. Also very delighted to see that Abi Ahmed is still here. I remember somewhere around last year some american youtube channel commenting on so called military strategies said that Adis Ababa would capitulate within months. And that Abi Ahmed's leadership would fail. Lies! from the pitts of colonial hell.
