Hi Susan, and your very welcome! Great to hear your trying a new and colorful floral painting,...did it turn out good? Well, thanks for watching and keep up the great work! :0)
Thanks Mary, wet in wet technique is so fun and exciting,.... It also seems to be the key characteristic that differentiates from acrylic and oils,... so I am constantly thinking I need to use this technique more and more.
Thank you. You present valuable information in a clear, concise and easy to understand format. You seem to instinctively know what your viewer is looking for. I love your easy going painting style that seems to be achievable even by a novice like me. And I want to try your splatter technique to introduce color to the paper. A very spontaneous gesture that I'm sure you have spent years perfecting.
Thanks for all your compliments Elizabeth, your very kind I appreciate you! Keep up the good work with your watercolors,.. it takes some time to get your techniques under control,... practice, practice, practice! :0) "knowledge is power"
Hi, we have the same target, THE FUN! I don't like discipline, altho' I like looking at them, but not for myself ... I Always go back to my "fun"! hehe
I love this one too! Can't wait to try. You're so humble and easy to follow.I just found you..may I ask which pencil you use?I like the bolder lines.Have a good weekend.
Great job Chris! Love your loose style and would think you are influenced by Charles Reid? I love his work but find it hard to do myself! Have you changed your style at some time to paint more like him and did you find it difficult at first? John
Hi John, thanks for the kind compliments! When I started painting watercolors consistently, I had a lot of difficulties too. However when I started looking over and studying the many Charles Reid books, paintings and DVD's I steadily improved month to month and year after year. I was able to solve all the basic challenges and difficulties of watercolor and push through to key knowledge and understanding through his teaching. I also attend Mr. Reid's workshops whenever I am able too as they are incredibly exciting and fun.
Thanks for watching and subbing Phil. My primary goal has always been to offer key knowledge to my fellow watercolor artists and subscribers. Upgrading my video quality and format when time and finances allow is also important to your point my friend. I certainly work on this behind the scenes and always need to better my quality. My comfort lies in knowing that the information I offer is of the highest quality. Well, ...I have to get back to drawing and painting now, I have a Gallery Show coming up this summer!
Your teaching skills are fab! thanks :D PS i thought your video was perfect to showcase your method i really don't know what you would do to improve it!
