Hunting Mackie on the Haddock Grounds & Some Good Wreck Cod 15th June 2024

Our latest expedition on Aquila Hunting Macerel on the Haddock Grounds & Some Good Wreck Cod 15th June 2024.
Again a slow start to the day and a plague of mini Whiting Kamakazi'ing themselves onto the hooks any which way they could. Haddock started showing eventually but the Mackerel were ever elusive appearing in singles only every now and again. Later in the day we headed north for a few wrecks and were rewarded with some good Cod, Ling and Charlie finished the day with a stonking Ballan Wrass.
Apologies for the colourful words but once again just as I get a good fish the GoPro battery dies on me.

Couple of nice cod on the shads there Terry. Similar type of day today.....but with less cod. Loads and loads of whiting, some a good size, and a fair few haddock, again some were pan size.Mackerel very hard to come by, we even pushed a fair way off and still didn't get any in numbers. Not to worry, plenty of Summer still to come!😜

Nice video , was this out of sunderland ? Could you recommend any good spots along the north east coast , I have recently just started boat fishing and need to find some nice grounds

Anywhere to a 3 mile radius out of Roker North to Souter Point and South to Hendon Prom

@@terrychase6615 Some canny cod there, me and the dogs had a fillet of Mackerel for breakfast each, would have liked more, but they will come, they were a canny size, only 2 of us fishing for them on the pier, but some other twat posted a picture of the other lad catching, so you will need a crash helmet on there for the rest of the season!
