I like the small, tucked away, kinda secret waterfalls. they're quite nice to sit listening to the softer sounds of nature.

Robert, you outdid yourself. We just came home from GA and when we visited Cloudland, it was lightly raining but it cleared up when we got to the first overlook and it was spectacular with the leaves just starting to change. We couldn’t get into Cloudland campground but stayed about 40 minutes away. Thanks for doing all that hiking so we didn’t have to 😂 but I wish we had done some. We were still exhausted from doing 500+ stairs at Tallulah Gorge. That cooking segment was hilarious! First the tab breaks and then your can opener! Garbanzo juice flying everywhere! Your attitude and reactions when things go wrong just makes me smile.

The best time to enjoy Cloudland Canyon is during the first week of November when we have leaves change colors. You also can get a view of the clouds and fog hanging in and around the canyon.

Also, I really enjoy your videos! Look forward to seeing your next one on Blairsville, Georgia, beautiful area! I haven't been there since 1996, when I used to have a Honda Goldwing and rode with a group.
Hope, you enjoy your hike on the AT to Blood Mountain! I too would like to hike the AT. But for now I just follow thur hiker on TH-cam!

Robert, in Kensaw Ga just north of Atlanta there is a fascinating and interesting civil war relic. There is a wood burning steam engine called the General, the story is called the great locomotive chase. It might be worth your time to see next time you pass through the area. Love the channel as always!👍🙂

I got a laugh out of your battle with the garbanzo bean can--you might want to pick up a P-38 can opener just in case you run into a situation like that in the future :-) Happy trails!

If you were at the boat ramp where I think you were on Nickajack lake, Nickajack cave is directly across the cove. Between March and October, the cave is inhabited by the endangered gray bat. Just before dark, over 100,000 bats exit the cave. There is a park where you can take a 1000ft trail to an observation area, but they are best seen by kayak. My favorite time to visit by foot is the last week of May or the first week of June. After you watch the bats, the fireflies put on quite a show on the way back to the parking area. The walking trail is located at Maple View Public Use Area.

I was a campground host at the West Rim Campground at Cloudland Canyon SP for several months last year. I loved it there. For being close to most of the trails and interpretive center, the East Rim Campground is nice. But the sites are more open and less secluded. The camp sites in the West Rim Campground give much more of a camping feel by being more secluded and nicely set in the trees.

I’ve been a long time Chevy truck owner (40yrs)
