@@roncho yea. Reynor has ultra speed but seems like chatgpt ai. Dark much more slower but add so much flavour to slice up the opponent. Very interesting to watch.

The other day i played a ZvZ and me being silver 3 got destroyed when my opponent went for mass mutalisk, i tried going for infestors to shut them down but they overhwhelmed me, didn't even cross my mind to tech up and produce vipers, thanks lowko, next time i'll be ready.
Vipers aren’t needed against mass mutalisk in a zvz. Make two control groups of hydralisks and they will demolish the mutalisks even though the mutas are in one big bunch. And use that to gaurd your bases. Or make like two spore crawlers per base if your not good enough to control your hydras.
Once you have a big enough army just move across the map and win the game because mutalisk suck in a straight up fight just make sure you don’t die to lurkers.
If you're silver 3, u need to work on your macro forreal and just like home said, straight up hydras will do what u need against mutas
Try ultras they take like no dmg vs Mutas especially if they have armor upgrades
I don't think I have ever seen LowKo cast a Scarlett game where she has won.
It's been a while but she does win periodically. The problem is she's a pretty "loose" player and likes to play more "fun" styles. This tends to not be a very good idea if you want to win all the time at the pro level like say Serral does.
I'm just a filthy Diamond, but shouldn't Scarlett have doubled up or even triple up hatchery's when floating that much extra money? Seem like it would have given an opportunity to remax faster with the appropriate counter. Or even add redundant tech? It's easy to backseat drive I suppose but at Grand Master it seems as if that would be what you're using that extra APM for. Is there a reason this isn't the case?

Honestly I was hoping she'd pull out Swarm Hosts. Under such turtled enemy, it would actually work

Up until about 2 mins resource count was pretty much identical.
scarlet always seems to have a lack of detectors and odd timing on the clouds. Like with 15 vipers, that's a lot of clouds, few ultras and lings would drive the lurkers back. like the ultras in the main base was nice, but the detector just stayed back, it only need to detect long enough to kill the lurker. I think scarlet was just over it.
tbh as much as i love seeing the Lurker return and being used again, I feel like its a bit too strong in matchups like this
How as any player are you going to go up against that kind of comp? 30ish spores and a bunch of lurkers under them is incredibly hard to touch; like what units can even best their ranger besides a siege tank with aerial vision?
it almost looks like mass widow mine in the end, even with the opponent losing half of their army as long as they get the burrow you're essentially vaporized
I do wonder how the Zerg lategame would go if Spore Crawlers got the same nerf as Spine Crawlers where it takes them longer to root once they uproot. I mention because it seems a recurring thing in lategame Zerg to turtle behind Spore Crawler forests with Lurkers, and the opponent has trouble breaking it - Spore Crawlers are dirt cheap, they deal great damage for their cost relative to other Zerg anti-air, and as structures they're immune to most abilities and spells. All races have ways to break a Spore Crawler forest, but then come the Vipers to abduct those units into the forest and the Lurkers chew them up.
Just wondering if maybe the forest is a bit too hard to break. But I'm speaking as a Gold-league hero so I dunno.
Maybe... just maybe, with some broodlords with viper support to not be abducted could be an option? Not sure, they are very very slow, easy target for the vipers. Maybe using the dark move, that you shoot to something on the ground and then shoot more broodlings to your own broodling to "extend" the attack range of the broodlord to be more safe from enemy vipers.... could be an option
@@nmgaro2156 The Brood Lords themselves may be able to get some work in with Viper support, but not the Broodlings, Lurkers would shred them like paper.
Another issue is that Scarlett opted for air attack upgrades which dont benefit mutas that much and instead should have opted for air defence

I don't think air armor would have helped that much either, Parasitic Bomb is spell damage and it wouldn't have helped much against the Spore Crawlers.

Anyway I guess i just found his air units largely wasted and especially the upgrades. It felt as if he taxed himself mentally trying to make them work

Probably the best and most skilled match both in micro and macro if it does go the distance. Tvt is the most reliable to have variety but also explosive possibilities at the start and pvp is largely a bore
I highly disagree about tvt. Every match up is basicly the same. Both players mass out marines and fight over air domiance. Whoever wins just makes liberators.
Pvp on the other hand has the highest chance because there are just a ton of cheeses and tech paths you can do.

Making some of your own and air superiority is probably the best or at least most orthodox but you can go ghost mech or air straight from the start.
So,,, Dark gets the brightest color... and scarlet does not get the red color.. I was so confused :(

I hate when they defense like that, makes it supper annoying to play.
funny how in user submitted games, whenever a player's bank goes above 1k resources, Lowko points it out as bad macro but shies away from saying the same when a pro player accumulates 10k minerals and has hardly any static defense while playing a gas-heavy unit composition against flying and burrowed enemy units
Scarlett really did drop the ball not getting extra hatcheries and static defense. Hell they aren't even static they can move and auto regen!
Floating resources is only bad when you’re not maxed out, after that it’s called building a bank.

Lurkers are the worst addition to Starcraft PvP. They are custom-made to slow the game down to an absolute crawl: high AoE damage, high health stealth units that are immobile when attacking.
Not that I know how to replace them or the critical function they provide for Zerg. I'm not advocating for their removal. I'm just saying that Zerg design is very poor compared to the other two races if the goal is to have exciting long games.
I'd lower their HP. As you say, they slow the game down and are extremely powerful but immobile units. Lowering their HP to make them less tanky could help players deal with them easier
