Alot of folks only use it early morning but I use late evening also to locate for next morning. Some cases I'll use anytime during the day if there's no wind. If windy you'll need something louder such as a hawk Screamer, crow call or Pileated Woodpecker.

With voice it can be tough. Play with it for a while and you'll find a method that works for you. Keep practicing is the key!
