      latest news is the grave iS gone.. People were starting to chip of chunks of it for souvenirs. I mean its almost like aquiring a piece of the true cross Nick has become a St. St. Nick is really here now. Its no longer a Christmas fable. Can anyone confirm. Has the grave stone been removed?

    I live in Birmingham. I had two friends who lived right in the centre of Tanworth-in-Arden. Now they are buried close to Nick. I became a fan of Nick's sometime in the 90s, I think. I must surely have driven past Far Leys.

    • @Bangford
      @Bangford  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I walked past it once without realising! Finally did my research on the 4th or 5th visit to Tanworth. Turn right just before the centre and the house is on the left.

    Far Leys is about the most beautiful, english, melancholy name for a house you could think of.. I would hazard a guess Molly named it

    • @Bangford
      @Bangford  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes! I hadn't really thought about the name.
      Went looking for the definition of "ley":
      1. (Agriculture) arable land put down to grass; grassland or pastureland
      2. (Physical Geography) Also called: ley line a line joining two prominent points in the landscape, thought to be the line of a prehistoric track
      Far Leys also sounds like it could have been the name of an old field :-) I love the fact that ley lines came up. Of course...

    Thanks for the virtual tour. I was introduced to Nick Drake through my mother's boyfriend, sometime around 1981 or 1982, when I was 10 or 11. All these years later I'm still a fan of ND. I consider myself fortunate to have been exposed to some good, soulful music at an early age.

      You can read this book on the Nick Drake life : "Nick Drake. Remembered For A While". Write with the help of the Nick Drake sister: Gabrielle Drake who got many unknown documents. All the aspects of the Nick Drake life are shown with no censure. Many people speak about him, musicians or friends. The recording of his three albums is told, etc... Probably the best document about his life and his music.

    You have a unique and personable way that is nice. You have a way with taking one along on a journey with you and into the realms of Nick. Did they ever do an autopsy of Nick? I know when reading about Judy Garland that there is an obvious way of knowing if one has taken a drug once, forgotten, then had inadvertently taken more later that killed them. They knew Judy had taken then forgotten, but not the case with Marilyn Monroe, only with Marilyn I think it was murder. I wonder if they knew how many pills were left in the bottle on Nick's bed. Thanks for taking the time to create such an interesting video about the fascinating Nick.

    • @Bangford
      @Bangford  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there. Thank you so much! I'm really glad you joined me on my journey into the realms of Nick.
      I don't know if there was an autopsy. I lean towards Joe Boyd's idea that Nick was "making a desperate lunge for life", rather than the opposite but we'll never know for sure. For years I just assumed the official suicide verdict was true but the more I read about Nick, the more I wonder. If only he knew that his legacy would be so special to so many of us.
      We would never leave Nick hanging on a star ☆.
      Thanks again for the comment, it was so nice to find this today :-)

      Wasn't he taking tryptizol, for depression/anxiety? I've read or heard somewhere that it may cause suicidal thoughts in people who have never even contemplated suicide.

    I've read a lot of your comments and see that many of you understand that Nick Drake had such a wonderful soul and mind! I have great news for all of you. In 2008 I was diagnosed with the same disorder and handed the same cocktail of medication as Heath Ledger! On the day that they diagnosed me we lost Heath Ledger! I ran home that day and turn the news on. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and then I too was diagnose and prescribe so much medication. These two events that happened on the same day fueled me to start studying the brain. I knew that we had to be doing something different inside the brain that they had not figured out! For a whole year I studied Heath Ledger. Day and night for a year I studied his brain pattern as well as mine. My brain pattern and Heath pattern became like a stencil. During the time that I was studying Heath I noticed that Heath also was probably studying Nick Drake. To make this short and sweet Heath was like my first Domino and then he led me to my second Domino which was Nick Drake. From 2008 to 2015 I studied all of them and I do mean all of them!!! In fact my third Domino was Michael from INXS! To help everyone to comprehend what we are doing inside the brain I would like everyone to read Malcolm Gladwell The Tipping Point. To also explain in a short sweet way to what we are doing inside the brain I'm going to use some of their lyrics and artwork. Let's start with Cello since all of you understand how beautiful it is. Listen to the song one More Time before you read on. I'm sharing an article down below. I want you to picture a Tipping Point for a syndrome. Without dopamine and brain chemistry you just might be Elegantly Wasted! Ben Harper & Heath Ledger's Morning Yearning shows figurines at a yield than the song and engages and the figurines start to move which is another artistic symbol for dopamine to cross over! one more artist which is Chester Bennington because if you have no dopamine in your brain can actually be numb and somebody that's like the teacher in the video could actually create syndromes!
    Ladies and gentlemen the article below shows your Black Hole sun! The Tipping Point level that we are on is a very high genius a lover and a fighter as well!!!
