- Toyota Supra MK4 with big turbo from hell. Toyota Supra 2jz was modified by MS-Performance. Hello and welcome to the Car Acceleration TV channel. In the new video we have a real JDM car with 1000 hp.Supra turbo power in action with sound and extreme fast acceleration. At the SCC500 motorsport event we were able to take impressive onboard recordings. Unfortunately, the Supra 2JZ only drove in a medium boost level and we couldn't fully experience the 1000 hp.
The Toyota Supra 2jz Turbo should have around 800 hp in the half mile runs (4th gear 2,2 bar and 5th gear 2,5bar). That was enough for a top speed of 294 km/h. The car has a lot of potential and in terms of performance there is still room for improvement. It could become one of the fastest cars in the RWD class with over 1000 hp in Germany. Poor shifting if you ask me. Shifting too aggressive into 2nd which makes the tyres spin and then shortshifting into 3rd...
No. Hes too good at shifting and thats the main problem. But i still think he would spin even if he shifted more softer and let the boost down a bit. I think it would help if he turned down the boost with the boost controller on 1st and 2nd gear just to keep traction of full throttle and then hit full boost on 3rd.

@@user-nt6up9vu9d гетраг механика, а вопрос поднимался за автомат . И мне из первых уст понятен придел акпп а340, у меня 4вд 800 + , сил до 650 проблем особо нет , а потом при старте ломает как правило обгонную муфту на 2 передачи, потом 800+ если убирать обгонку начинает просто первичный вал отламывать

@@sasha931000 а у знакомого на марке почему-то всё в кардан упиралось, до автомата дело пока не доходило (АКПП и бублик ему допиливали в Красноярске вроде) последний раз карбоновый ставил, порвало в клочья... По мотору заявлено 700+, как на деле х.з.

His shifting could use some work
I don’t know the stats of this 2jz but it looks heavily tuned also making a ton of power considering it burnout 2 to 3rd gear while having slicks on it should be a 11 seconds car imo
The reason why I said this is because of how easily it can be beaten by a stock 992 gt3 Porsche the bmw m3 g80 and I’m sure a lot other cars with simple tune I know it isn’t the same category but still

2jz is one of the best engine ever made!!! This old 6 inline can almost destroy anyting man!! With all the technology we have today I wish some day Japan domestic motors Will remaster an new 2jz 6 inline.. just imagine how powerful this would be..
I hate comments like these, where people think Supras rolled off the line with 1000hp in the 90s. It was a 300 hp car, there are 3 cyl under 2L engines today that make that sort of power, and they don't weigh 300kg either.

Yes its shit i have polo 9n3 1.9 tdi stage 3+ methanol 341hp and 595 nm daily and it pulls over 3k rpm to 5200, when stock 131 hp it was pilling nice from 1700rpm..
It's called turbo lag. And it's power that's generated, not tq lol

Supra rocks if you live in cali and do late night freeway pulls Vs spicks in Hondas.
It loses every other scenario and is a one trick pony.
Might aswell get a GTR, at least you can get off the line quick and take corners.
Always nice to see them, but they seem really dated now.
I get the argument for having them, as I would prefer a KX500 over a KXF 450, even though the 450 would beat it in pretty much every scenario, I go with the bike that makes me feel alive and fear for my life.
I just think people need to realize if you crash any car at these speeds on the road, you're either going to be dead, go to jail or end up crippled.

So bad in the quarter mile. Not set up right. The car can't handle its own power. 8.6 in the 1/8th and 12.19 in the quarter for a 1000 hp car is pathetic. That's the truth. Sure, it pulls hard, has massive acceleration, but why have all that power if you can't put it to the ground?
