Arrowroots thrive better when planted in well-drained loamy soil. Avoid planting arrowroots in clay soil because they cause poor rhizome development. As a result, the rhizome becomes deformed and breaks during harvesting. It is shocking in Kenya everyone is advocating for new varieties of everything (hybrids or GMOs) in fruits, vegetables, cereals etc etc. I am wondering what is wrong with our indigenous varieties. I will never plant any Hybrid in my farm period. Anyway nice presentation.
