My good man im a farmer in southafica KZN im looking to adding a new crop to my farm I currently farming macadamia nuts but the farm has a large amount of clay and hardly top soil I was looking at butternut squash Waltham verity the farm has 10 or so tons of husks from the macadmia nuts and the local farmers here do live stock do i have to plow and then disk to remove the grass to bring all the mixed compost or can I bump it all ontop to make a field for the butternut the amount of clay I have means the land is quite water logged
Maybe try raised beds as well.
i need to get in touch with you,
