I definitely agree. One thing I’d change about Crestwood though is that I think it’d be more engaging if instead of the mayor making the decision to flood, that decision was left to the player. There’d have to be other changes to the area obvi, but it’d add more choice and what not
I love the concept, but I think it would make the player's story very personal, kind of like in Dragon Age 2 - tightly tied up to the player with some roleplaying limitations (the noble background and pre-defined family members) - and feels like BioWare (sadly) is trying to move away from this sort of stories, to make them more general and appease more people.
Agreed. The commercialization of dragon age means that we’ll likely never see anything similar to a version like the one in this video (or dragon age 2) ever again. Looks like we’re going the cartoony “he’s right behind me, isn’t he” marvel-esque route.
Crestwood was a great zone, if swap hinterlands and fallowmire for it any day
