I do not normally like Jim Beam but I really enjoy Jim Beam devils cut. A little lemon juice and a dash of bitters make a nice drink. Plus the price is right and the 45% abv makes it value for money.
Press Man Thanks you! I was surprised on how much I enjoyed the devil's cut. I figured it would be the same as black. But it really has a richer flavor. Cheers!
Great review! I have the Jim Beam Black Label and a mini of the Devils Cut I have not tried yet. I usually have the Black Label with ginger ale and its tasty. I also have had Old Grand dad 114. I really enjoy that whiskey even better than the 9 year Knob Creek. Thanks again!
JOHN POST thank you! The devil's cut is worth having. I was surprised at how much I liked it. I really want to pick up that old grandad someday. Cheers!
I love this video guys - such a fair yet honest review. Enjoying a bottle of black right now. I find Jim Beam black oddly smoother than the white - but a richer flavor.
Dan Russell thanks ! It’s one of my favorite Beams . I’ve found the devils cut is also really good. Both are noticeably smoother have more of that vanilla and char than the 4 yr white label. Thanks for watching! Cheers 🥃
I agree, price point and for an older whiskey. It use to have an age statement of 8 yrs. i think JB still sticks close to that now. Thanks for watching, cheers 🥃
"Leather"...LOL...If I tasted leather in my booze, wine, etc...Id RUN back to the store and demand a refund or an exchange. That being said,...JB Black for me has notes of honey & maple and thats about it... havent tried with with coke but it blends AMAZINGLY with Canada Dry Ginger Ale! Its also LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than JB White...that stuff gacks me. Also, JB Black is MUCH BETTER neat, rocks and mixed than Evan Williams Black Label
Lol .... that’s the “neat” pun intended about all of our palettes. We each can and often do pick up different tastes. Lately I’ve been on a Jim Beam Devi’s cut . It along with the black are way better like you said than the white label. It’s amazing what 4 more years in the oak can do for a bourbon. Glad you’re enjoying the channel. Cheers 🥃!
Black and coke is all I have drank for the last 3 years! Amazing!

Mt favorite Beam product is Old Grand Dad bonded for price and flavor. 4 year old for about 24 bucks. Higher rye bourbon with an orange 🍊 finish.
Thanks for the great review! Have to grab these down the road, I’ve tried the Distillers Cut and Bakers 107! I’m a big fan of both. 🥃👍

@@DurbinsBourbon i need to try double oak nxt
I noticed a much stronger burn and alcohol taste in the devils cut.
Ya can’t beat Beams value 😋
I finished a bottle of JB Black this week, I really enjoyed it, especially at that price point.

Interesting I thought the Devils cut had a little more bite
I think DC has more character, Black taste more traditional
I enjoy the Devils Cut a bit more. Thanks for watching. Cheers 🥃
Evan Williams bib is good for mixing
Buddy Winters I agree! I love mixing the Evan Williams BIB with ale8 soda and ice. It's a refreshing highball. Cheers !
Same, great value for money.
