    Don’t take off the second side of tape until you have the cover on. You’ll be able to make fine adjustments the take the tape off as you go. Otherwise, you make get buckling.

    Anyone who plans to do this I highly recommend taking the steering wheel off, bringing it inside your house, and doing it in a comfortable position. I did this once in my car before and it took like 6 hours of sewing and weird angles. Brought the steering wheel inside the second time and I got it done in 2 hours and was much more easier to get the stitching looking perfect

    Just completed mine today (same, swede with top dead center red stripe). 3+ hrs, a few tears, a LOT of sweat but honestly, this video was PERFECT as a guideline! I AM NOT a mechanic but like to play with tools and cars, bikes and bicycles etc. and this was relatively straight forward. Even though I broke the thread AND used ALL loops to thread the cover, I still had left over. Fantastic product; great DIY video for anyone who's ok with a hammer.
    Final result after breaking the thread (mid-way through the top portion) is: Amazing tight feel. Makes the wheel thicker and so nice to hold in all angles when turning. I LOVE the new series WRX steering wheel and this cover accentuates it.

    Took me about 3hrs with the wheel attached, a couple of places were difficult to see the back side and I was too stubborn to turn the car on and simply turn the wheel as needed. However if you are thinking about doing this I do recommend it, but also don't be stubborn turn the car on and turn the wheel as needed.

I then removed airbag then wheel from car, then back plastic piece from wheel my removing 1 screw, then each button assembly and bottom trim piece only have 1 screw each. Very easy to do then you can do it inside if its hot etc

    Your explanations are on point as well as your camera angles. You did a great job!!!

    I just did this last weekend, I tried my hardest to do it without removing the wheel, but in the end I did remove it, it only took 5 minutes to remove once I got the airbag unhooked and as was stated before having the trim out of the way makes it 1000X easier to "tuck" the cover in

    • @mikegarofolo4838
      @mikegarofolo4838 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Don't see why it wouldn't. It may take a bit longer for you to feel it because it would have to heat the factory leather in addition to the extra fabric over top of it. All it is is a heating element under the factory leather just like heated seats. Think of it like this, if you sat in a car bare assed you would feel the heated seat faster than if you were wearing pants because the heat needs to heat your pants before you feel it.
