Frazier is what I've been waiting for since the Frisco game last year. A true career center! I if he stays 100% Committed to his heath and endurance and learn the way the Steelers want him to be as a Pittsburgh Steeler. I wish him many years of success as a Pittsburgh Steeler.
The Steelers have always built the Offensive Line through the center from Webster to Dawson to Pouncey and now Frazier. That’s some pretty rarified air to be in!
He doesn't even look like he needs coaching. Knows exactly what he's doing and the understanding and feel for leverage that wrestling gives you is a major advantage.
There was a wrestler from UPJ that won 6 NCAA national championships; 3 D2 and 3 D1 over the course of 3 years named Carlton Haselrig that the Steelers drafted in ‘89 with their 12th round pick (yes, the draft used to be 12 rounds!) He went on to be a Pro Bowl guard for the Steelers without ever having played college football. The Steelers obviously favor a wrestling background for players. The LB Wilson they drafted in the 3rd round from NC State was also a HS state wrestling champ in NC, beyond being just a total freak of an athlete!
@@kevinmcclainsr.2706 I wrestled in high school and college. The hand use, leverage and hip control are off the charts. Wrestling enhances offensive linemans ability to control contact.
#11 for Penn St. is Abdul Carter. A phenomenal athlete, but his processing in the middle left a lot to be desired. That's why PSU is moving him out to the Edge this season. He's extremely talented...wouldn't be surprised if he becomes the next Chop Robinson
🔥🔥🔥 I’m a Steelers Stan and this breakdown was on point ‼️I’ll admit I was pounding the table for Barton and JPJ because I was considering athleticism and raw power. However, after watching this, I see the nuance in his game and the leverage from his wrestling background making a difference. I’m hoping he’s Iron Mike 2.0.
While this is fine a video as it stands, I would recommend that you consider doing comparison ones: taking tape from 2 or more players at the same position & comparing. No fault in what you do. It's the comments section. You could literally put the same title on all your videos for Centers with only the name different & you'll get All The Same Comments from people just cheering their favorites. But while it gets the views, I feel this demeans your efforts to a degree. Also, then we could actually see & assess the videos made by others. Anyhow, that's my two cents.
No, this guy is dat good to be as dominant as pouncey. but i agree, it will take a lot to be talented like pouncey but i really think he will be a future hofer
Pouncey was known for his ability to get up to the second level in a heartbeat, and his ability to pull like a guard as a center, which is really rare. Half of football is from the neck up and in between the ears as well as knowing how to be in position and how to execute proper technique. This kid has most of that down pat already. I used to play D end in a German Semi pro American football league at 5’9” 225# against guys that were 6’6”-6’7” and well over 300#s and owned them every snap of every play because they had no technique.
Cherry picking videos to show his technique is one thing, but for it to be an honest review show some of the times he has been bull rushed by DT’s. Let’s not anoint him to Canton just yet.
The steelers haven't missed in the second round in like 2 decades or more..it doesent matter who they draft he is probably gonna be better than the first round pick they drafted, the steelers love the second round and they always hit monstrously!
I told myself if he ends up with the Steelers or cowboys he is going to be in the hall of fame. I will stand by that

If Dante scarneccia was still your guys o line coach I’d say the same for the pats
Too small

Such a Pittsburgh pick, dang
Yeah they got my man from Washington and another guard. Have always known that interior brutality mindset 💥🔥🥾🏈

Love this pick for my Steelers. This was such a great draft for us. We filled holes, can’t wait.
He is as refined a center as I have seen in a while; powerful, physical, technically sound, mobile, with a high football IQ.
@5:48 The ref looking at that block like "Damn 52, you just got LIT UP!"
It was 8 yards past the line of scrimmage 😂
He was a wrestler. He will actually be mugging people.

I'll take a smart, tough woodworking dude from WV as Steelers C all day! He was born to be a Steeler!! Welcome officially to Steeler Nation, Zach!!
A smart tough leader who can really play. I love this pick.
He will be even better with the better talent around him on the Steelers Oline
True, but he’s also going to be going up against NFL caliber D linemen!
I believe in a couple of years Frazier will be a pro bowl center. I just love this frickin pick

Anytime the Steelers draft offensive lineman I'm thrilled. The vast majority of games are won in the trenches.
HOORAY WE NEED THIS GUY :)
Here We Go! #Steelers

How would u compare him to, Creed Humphrey? Very similar. Very nice breakdown.....cheers!
Great video. We got ourselves a good one.
Can you do a video on Seahawks pick of RG Haynes of UCON??
Yes, tomorrow!!
I don't know if he has Pouncey-like potential but that's not a knock. Excited to see him on the field!

Yea, a four time state champ isn't to shabby. Go Steelers!
If he can be a Jeff Hartings, we'll take it.
Great video.
Agreed....they always are!
Feel like for ever getting a strong line. 💪
The only thing i care about is that he's hitting his QB in the numbers when he snaps that ball.
He has big shoes to fill stepping in for Mason Cole. Hopefully he can live up to it. I hope they knew what they were doing letting Cole go.

How is the guy that is average nfl center height and weight too small?
Xzackly! Steelers figured that out after picking him, so panicked and took McCormick to start at C. 🤣
