Why take the 4th or 5th tackle and not the best center and day 1 starter when we have two tackles the Steelers at least like , and literally no center. History shows when we take an IOL in the first round = All Pro . 4th or 5th tackle off the board or any tackle , not great results . It’s a no brainer if JPJ is there you take him , Center is so underrated even by us who have been blessed with several great ones .
Excellent breakdown, my friend! I really like both talented young prospects. I would be thrilled with either one, because it's way past time for the Steelers to find their next legacy center. I will mention that JPJ had a few issues snapping the ball sporadically. As you concluded, Frazier is the slightly better value IMO.
Zach seems more pro ready and polished. His needs of improvement seem to just be physical. JPJ has better physicality naturally and thus his ceiling seems higher. So, right now Zach is 1 JPJ is 1a. In two years it looks like it might be reversed. Both have pro bowl potential. Zach just seems to need more time in the weight room overall.
PS: I have run hundreds of mocks. One of the hardest things for me to do is get Zach in round 2. Overwhelmingly the easiest way to do that is to trade way down to the bottom of round 1 or top of round two. That allows me to get Zach and a CB capable of starting day 1. My next trade always has to be be Kiran Amegadjie. He slips down all of the time because of injury and lack of experience. BUT, he has pro bowl upside once healthy and coached up. That leaves us getting THREE day one impact players. Maybe easing them in slowly over a few games at worse.
JPJ is fundamentally sound. Wish our roster was in a better position to take him at 20. Frazier looks nice but nothing is jumping out of the screen at me.
The Steelers need a RT and a C badly in this draft and they can fill both positions through the draft. Omar talked about how strong the Tackle class is. My dream is for them to fill the two holes with their 1st 2 picks
I'm not sure Zach Frazier will be there in the 2nd at #51. Taking him in the 1st at #20 IMO would be a huge reach. Maybe the Khan Man is working on a trade to move down a few spots, then take Frazier or JPJ towards the end of the 1st rd. But it's time the Steelers need to stop using a band-aid to fix the problem.
I'd wrather see see JC Latham in the 1st if he falls and possibly trade up for frazier in the second, depending on the board that would be AMAZING. The o-line would be set for a decade.
Zach is the local guy, JPJ isn't. Zach was a captain, JPJ wasn't. Zach's favorite team is Pittsburgh. I don't know JPJ's. Zach has been a center with more experience. JPJ only 1 year experience. Either will be a good fit, but Zach in my opinion is the local guy who won't let us down.
I like both of these guys, and I've been drinking the JPJ kool-aid all off-season. But if they can get Zach Frazier in the 2nd, I don't think the drop off in talent will be that much. Better yet, if they could trade back with a team that needs a WR and pick up an additional 2nd or 3 and 6th, I say go for it.
JPJ is the only Center, from the draft, who I see as an immediate upgrade over Cole. The rest will need to settle in and Frazier probably would be an upgrade by mid-season. That might be too late. I also see JPJ as having even more upside because of his inexperience and youth.
Trade back from 20 to the 25-28 range. Gain more picks..possibly another 1st next year and take Frazier later. If they both are projected 10+ year starters
Am I the only person who notices that he doesn't move the line of scrimmage? His pancakes take place behind the line of scrimmage. This won't happen against professional athletes. Pros are bigger, have more moves better balance and a deeper bag. Oh and they are more powerful and stronger. I have no idea how people think these guys are even close. But pittsburgh people love a struggle. smh
Jackson Powers Johnson in the First at pk 20. No screwing around! Sign best RT available in Free Agency and a good backup center! Draft RT 3rd 4th rnd! Boom O line done!
Jpj is way better Frazier is too weak he can barely stand collage bull rush much less the pros, jpj just pops off the tape and he is nasty and never goes backwards
I agree with you. Take a top OT at 20 and then trade up for Frazier in the 2nd. The OL would be awesome.
Trade down two three spots o line Frazier eith extra pick
if JPJ makes it to 20 thats the guy to get.
Yes 100% Frazier is a stud

We need a top center we can not miss out, no matter what round.
Zac Frazier is the one
Great breakdown. I’d be happy with either guy

Shannon is spot on with opting Frazier
I think Frazier going to be a better NFL center
Jpj pops off the tape if he’s there at 20 take him I love Frazier to but JPJ is just a different caliber
Frazier may allow you to get the OT
JPJ is the one! Absolute aggressiveness! Physical and quick feet with leverage recovery. He is the winner.
They should get center 1st. A C. For us is more important than a. Lft t. At this point
They both are very good
if you pass on C in rd. 1 then you better trade way up into rd. 2 to guarantee Frazier. Ganna cost the 3rd. rd. pick to get into 33-40 range
And that is what I'm hoping that they do. If they don't get the C in the 1st, that they do what they need to in the 2nd to get Frazier
Frazier is not making it past the panthers.
Panthers domt want him
@@verginithe lmao what? Keep coping
@@verginitheyour ass is itchy 😂
As a Panthers fan we will be watching the Steelers first round pick. We are the two most center needy teams in the draft.
I think Powers-Johnson is the best Center. Younger and has not given up a sack yet in his career.
Very good video and breakdown. Thank you for this

Frazier lives in the weight room. He was actually disappointed he only did 30 benchpress reps at the Combine.
JPJ is fundamentally sound. Wish our roster was in a better position to take him at 20. Frazier looks nice but nothing is jumping out of the screen at me.
Call Sheet is A BOSS show!!!!
Who ever is there in the 20th pick
I’d take Frazier. We already have a JPJ.
I'm fine with either one
Great job with the ALL 22 FILM. Would love to have the opportunity to get in on the film breakdown on SCN. Big-G is available!!!!
It's time again Steeler Nation:
Dermontti Dawson - Mike Webster - Maurkice Pouncey - Jeff Hartings - Ray Mansfield- JACKSON POWERS JOHNSON
His wrestling background makes him elite
Facts if they know. They need to do everything in they power to get him
Powers Johnson is the one
Panthers fan here: go ahead and take Zach Frazier so we can get Powers-Johnson 😁 at the 33rd pick
The Steelers need a RT and a C badly in this draft and they can fill both positions through the draft. Omar talked about how strong the Tackle class is. My dream is for them to fill the two holes with their 1st 2 picks
Your dream came true
@@Dude-6969 Literally in the best way. No trades. Our new Tackle is a steelers loving stud. We got probably the better of the two centers.
JPJ ALL DAY
I was always a Zach Frazier guy but POWERS-JOHNSON has better feet. Either one would be ok with me.

Kendrick Greene was worse than a band aid. Of course he was a Colbert selection
Yes, trade up to 16 with Seattle to steal him or Olumuyiwa Fashanu from the Bengals at 18, if he falls.@@herewego4155
@herewego4155 A trade up in the 2nd would cost the 3rd..too many holes to fill for a trade up.
I don't know if the eagles don't get a center in the first round the could take Frazier in the second and they are ahead of us in the draft
Frazier a smarter football player than JPJ tho
JPJ
Zach is the local guy, JPJ isn't. Zach was a captain, JPJ wasn't. Zach's favorite team is Pittsburgh. I don't know JPJ's. Zach has been a center with more experience. JPJ only 1 year experience. Either will be a good fit, but Zach in my opinion is the local guy who won't let us down.
PIT should either draft a center or a tackle and fill the void via free agency. We cannot have to many development pieces in our O line.
This o-line class is so strong that they can draft both a C and an OT. They have the Guards as the vets

Also JPJ had couple snap problems..Frazier def more polished of 2 and plays with better leverage.

Frazier will be better

What about wr2?
Neither guy will be around in the 2nd
I know you are happy that it worked out the way that it did
Not as nasty in the trenches? what tape are you watching?
You might want to do that for van oran because I think that's who they might take since I think they foolishly take Mims in the first round or a cb
I think Pittsburgh is going to have to trade up in round 2 to get frazier
No
@@keem7910 you was right and I am happy you was
Graham Barton is better on pass protection
He plays with Power and his Johnson 😂
Boy. Not even close.
Frasier is not strong enough
Lmao what
Personally i like Van Pran-Granger better than these guys
Jpj is way better Frazier is too weak he can barely stand collage bull rush much less the pros, jpj just pops off the tape and he is nasty and never goes backwards
Sedrick Van Pran-Granger
