@@durawins Agreed, but the albums from Dan in the Emergency Room (Hurricane Season and Party Adjacent) and with the Bygones (Dear Darkness) are completely worth their weight in vinyl and CD. Jeff Rosentstock produced Party Adjacent and that album is just amazing end to end.

I agree as well. They are a top 10 band in my book but definitely #1 that If I had to listen to one band the rest of my life. There is a certain level of comfort and calm throughout the discography. Not many bands can pull off the 2 singers like Trio.... The ying and yang just keeps you going.. its amazing. almost 25 years listening.

Love this band!! Seen them at The Fireside Bowl in Chicago many moons and tides ago. Glen Porter (ex 88 Fingers Louie) was on drums. I knew in my bones back then that they would rock for years to come.
Those were the days! FIRESIDE. This sounds like the trio from those days. Saw many amazing shows there, including 88. Love it.

That's awesome. They are so good. Legends despite not being huge. The perfect mix of themes too. I recommend the album Good Mourning then following it up with Crimson. Despite Crimson being the very next album after Good Mourning they are pretty different from each other and IMO it's a perfect mix of their stuffs and a good variety too.

@mikedavis8008I would highly disagree, Alk3 is very well known in their respective genre they’ve sold well over a million albums which is quite a lot for a punk band “no one was ever buying” not to mention Matt was so well known he took over Toms place in blink for a bit basically the biggest pop punk band of all time. Haha so true. I’m 35 and have emigrated to the other side of the world yet alkaline trio make me think of the simpler times back home. Matt’s songwriting style has always been interesting.
Trio got me through some rough times, especially in my late 20s. Now I’m married, in my 40s, and I still go back to Trio. They cover every emotion with great lyrics and an intensity few bands can pull off.

Always an underrated band that got a reputation as "emo" for some reason i don't understand. Their first years were pure punk rock, idk why people always need to categorize so much. At some point i thought their music became boring, but Crimson was a nice surprise and I think it's their Best album even though it was a style change, ans eventhough i know some fans hate it. Also a very noteworthy album on 2000's rock'n'roll. I consider them a rock band since early 2000's. Nice to see them back
