What is my kicking leg? I write with my right, i do most boy moves on my right, but when i do scoot with my right arm it turns out i have to kick with left which i don't like at all.
For me, my non-dominant leg (right leg) is my kicking leg. I tend to prefer, and most other people seem to as well, to use my dominant leg (left) for jumping. If you aren't sure which leg is your dominant leg, fall forward (or have someone push you) and see which leg you step with first. Also, you will typically use your dominant leg first in the lunge for cartwheels/round-offs/handstands, etc.
I cannot kick my leg right i just tuck it in in the half of the kick and i dont get height . Also is it supposed to be like a backflip but looking sideways?

Masen Diener hmm to me on cork i spin to left but at back full i spin to right and cheat gainer i go left cuz my not good feet is left, this trick to me i need the kicking leg to be strong leg to kick better and it will look cleaner, if u use ur non kicking leg is still ok but it will be harder and longer to learn it

I bruised my heel doing flips on concrete barefeet. Sure i increased my confidence but now have a bruised heel that takes a while to heal. I recommend wearing shoes on concrete guys!... Seriously lol
Paul John Farolan It is possible. The reason for that is because the cheat gainer is not exactly the same as doing a backflip. In a cheat gainer, you aren't really going over your head like in a normal backflip. Instead, you are going over your shoulder on a slant. While a backflip would definitely help you learn this move faster, it's not necessarily a requirement. You could learn this move first. Hope this helps! :)

Hey I love your tutorials but when im in the air and about to go backwards my body seems to twist more then flip back any suggestions. I tried to kick my swinging foot which is my right to my left shoulder but yeh I need help please and thanks
If you are twisting too much, try thinking of the flip as more of a backflip. Kick your foot upwards toward your opposite shoulder still, but instead, think backflip.
I think one thing I can add as a tumbler is to not learn this style of flipping first since it teaches you to drop your head back. Dropping your head back can lead to some jenky tumbling moves later on in skills where height is really important. I remember seeing guys trying to do double fulls and throwing their head and shoulders to the ground only to land on their necks from over-rotation. Safety first.
I definitely agree that using this style for gymnastic tumbling is inappropriate for aesthetic and safety reasons! I have a power tumbling background, so I definitely can see your point. However, if you can learn to distinguish between the different styles of flips - tricking vs gymnastics - you can definitely do both.

You want to start straight. After a while you will soon feel more comfy and you have to push your self into pushing your body over your comfort limits. But it's really all progression.
I started doing parkour/freerunning/tricking around the 8th grade - so about 3 to 4 years ago. It would be advantageous to be fit. However, there are some people who can still pull these moves off despite their weight. Hope this helps! :)

It depends sometimes backflip can be easier to land vut cheat gainer easier to get over fear because you just use your strong kicking leg to one side and doing a 360 spin but just lean back more and invert it more each time you do it.

It's difficult to tell without a video. Make sure you are getting enough power from your j-step. Block at the end of the final step for extra height. Also, make sure your arms and feet are swinging in sync. I hope this helps, good luck! If you can send me a video, that would help a bunch.
on a trampoline and you have to commit and accept that you can't do it on your first try. I thought a 40 year old guy who was 230+ how to do a back flip. you just have to commit.
