And in context! The problem is, people love cherry-picked, bite-sized verses around which they can build whole doctrines that the passages aren't actually teaching. Before you know it, they've changed the "straight and narrow" path leading to salvation into the hard and difficult road we must travel in order to stay saved.
Dear brother- Wow.. Your explanation is the FIRST one that has fully shed light on this verse for me! I've always believed & accepted the truth of it, myself humbled greatly for the eternal security I have through Christ Jesus, my All. But I just never , again I say, fully understood it in respect to this verse in Hebrews- for the Hebrews. Praise God! Jesus, after all, said the Jews first.. Paul always went first to the local synagogue.. Salvation is not complicated, not laborious, as it was while I was a practicing Roman Catholic. But sanctification can be, ought to be, a glorious journey, learning more, sharing more, loving Him & His work on the cross more, for all who believe... even me, praise His name! Thanks brother Corey. I'm 71, born again in 2002, learning something new every day. 🙏
I was homeless, did drugs, went into prison, where I got to know God. He changed my life. Now I have a home, a lovely husband and a lovely year old daughter (Zoe), and a stream of income that gets us $37,000 Every 28days. Plus a new identity - a child of God. Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!.
I thank Evelyn Susanne Scarlett who has always been there to help me with detailed analysis and recommendations that I would not have had access to otherwise.
Really feel your pain, when I was even almost down my God sent to me Evelyn Susanne Scarlett, her services cryp to me and changed the game automatically
I've always wanted to be involved for a long time but the volatility in the price has been very confusing to me. Although I have watched a lot of TH-cam videos about it, I still find it hard to understand.
Amen...thank you Corey for highlighting this section. I have been saying this for years and incredibly refreshing to hear a seasoned teacher of the Word bring it. Blessings and Peace in Jesus Name!!
Thank you so much Corey. I have been listening to this over and over. I highlighted and underlined these verses in my Bible. I am going to read them until this reality is deep in my soul. With no doubts. I so appreciate you and your ministry. You are giving me clarity of the scriptures. Lord Bless you and your family. 🙏✝️🕊
The debate over OSAS isn’t about losing your salvation, because once you are saved, as long as you continue to ( BELIEVE) you are saved. But you can turn away from GOD and forfeit your salvation. Lose in this sense is a strong word. Unless you are a calvanist and believe in predestination and the elect, then it’s your CHOICE to accept the calling of GOD. So if you choose to follow GOD and be saved, then why can you not choose to turn away???
How does one unbelieve? We are not speaking about science are we, an experiment? Does God accept partial belief; Can a man fool God? Doth not the Scriptures says that understanding is with the heart: What does God mean to believe with our heart? Romans 10:9-10; John 12:40; John 3:3, born from above, Who can overrule God? The point of fact here is really that a person who thinks they've lost their salvation every other day, are they truly a believer or do they truly misunderstand salvation? I think they call that belief Arminianism.
Well um you believe in predestination and the elect as well...since they are biblical terms your forced to interpret them in some way. Not accusing you but there are people out there that cherry pick what they do like in the Bible and deny the rest. So since those terms "predestination" and "elect" are biblical terms and we read the same Bible. How about you define them for us?
@ predestined as to needing CHRIST for our salvation, and by becoming saved we become HIS elect. All scripture must be taken in context and I agree some do cherry pick. The Bible warns us of falling away from the faith. If we are predestined in our salvation then we have no choice in the matter and no matter what we choose or what we do we would be predestined for either heaven or hell! If that is one’s belief then I can see why they would believe in OSAS. But I also see the scriptures provided for OSAS as weak support and cherry picking also. And those scriptures supporting falling away or turning away from the faith as more valid. Thank you for your reply brother, peace and love to you and your family! GOD bless you brother!
@@jeffgray6291 like I said lose is a strong word here, but yes we can turn away from GOD and forfeit our salvation. We can fall away. No one can overrule GOD! And I’m not talking about losing or thinking that one has lost their salvation often. I’m saying If one turns away from GOD for whatever reason. I don’t believe that someone who was saved can turn away from GOD and turn away from the faith can keep their salvation. I also don’t believe that someone can cause another to lose their salvation. Salvation is a gift from GOD through grace, and I don’t believe we lose our free will just because we get saved. Once saved as long as we continue to believe and keep seeking Jesus, we are saved. But I believe we still have the free will to turn away or fall away, ( and scripture supports this), but it is more of a forfeit and not losing our salvation. GOD bless you brother.
You really think a lot of yourself if you think you have anything to do with your salvation at any point in time … getting it or keeping it Smh Pride is dangerous
Even one sin separates us from God so if we could lose it it’s already been lost because all it takes is one sin, this is why we need his righteousness so even tho we’re not perfect the Father will see perfection because the righteousness of Jesus has been given to us making us justified being right in Gods eyes. Sealing us with the Holy Spirit is God stamping his possession on us that we belong to Him now and forever. The fact nobody could open the seal in revelation but Jesus, who could break the seal that God has stamped on you claiming you as his own possession?
This is not about sinning and repenting of sins, it's about leaving the faith all together. We have forgiveness of our sins, by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, but when you leave the faith, you are turning your back on Jesus, and what he has done for you.
@ I literally just posted the gospel and you missed my point. I’m not gonna debate on whether you can lose your salvation by walking away,if you believe you can lose it then go ahead
You have to acknowledge that the scripture did say the wages of sin is death... the opposite of eternal life. So the important thing is not to worry about who is sinning or how many times one sin but to make sure you are following the teachings of Jesus Christ.
@ Well that’s why it’s important that we know who’s speaking and who are they speaking to.. that’s how we get the context. And that helps us to understand if we fit in the audience or not. Acts 3:19 Peter is speaking to the nation of Israel not the body of Christ. They are to repent for murdering the messiah. Hence the question in acts 2 “ what shall WE do”. Mean while Paul who is the apostle of the gentiles Romans 11:13. Tells us that we have now received the atonement. Romans 5:11. We are not waiting for the “ times of refreshing “ as acts 3 say. If that’s the case you haven’t been forgiven of all sins as Paul tells members of the body of Christ in Colossians 2:13. It’s important that we rightly divide the word of truth 2 Timothy 2:15. What is the word of truth? The gospel of your salvation Ephesians 1:13, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4
@ We are to believe them in their proper context. Again repentance means a change of mind. So we should change our mind about what we believe and believe in the gospel 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV. But you have to be dispensational in your understanding of the Bible. If not you will find yourself in contradictions. God speaks differently to different people at different times giving them different instructions. The only way for the Bible to make sense is to consider who’s speaking and who are they speaking to. Then ask do you fit the immediate audience. The Bible is for us but that doesn’t mean it was all written directly to you.
Sin sperates us from God. If we live within his will it shows that we want to be with him. He gives us a choice and the results of each choice. He's not a slave driver. God bless.
2 Peter 2:20-21 KJV [20] For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. [21] For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
How does one make an honest conclusion without receiving testimony from both sides? If receiving one without full knowledge of the other side, wouldn't that be a biased judgement or at least a blind act of discernment? Anyhow the verse states "they" will overcome after being re-entangled with the worlds pollution....... 🤔
@camden7488 not sure what's your position on the word overcome, but the verse conclude by saying the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. Overcome in this context is a defeated stance for the entangled person.
I was not aware you were a believer in OSAS, the man you had in your last video is Yankee Arnold, he used to be a professor in bible college, great preacher, still teaches class once in a while. Good video.
Eternal security for the genuine believer is taught right within Hebrews chapter 6: "Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: WHICH HOPE WE HAVE AS AN ANCHOR OF THE SOUL, BOTH SURE AND STEDFAST, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec." (Hebrews 6:17-20) Unfortunately, there are false converts, but you can't go by them. If you are saved and you know it, you have to believe it is permanent.
The question should be, "Who is in charge of the KEEPING of our salvation? The believer or God?" According to the Bible, God does..... I'm glad it's not up to me. I would have lost it by now......
@TheWordisLight Galatians 3:3 Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? There is no work you can do with your flesh to "help" the Holy Spirit in regards to your salvation.
@thewholeninelives no, perfected by the Spirit. By works of the law of the heart, I agree with the sanctifying of the Spirit in me. God sees truth on the inner parts. "Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law." (Romans 4:31) "Grace is the mother and nurse of holiness and not an apologist of sin." C.H. Spurgeon
Corey is misleading yall big time. If I’ve been born again baptized all that, can I go commit fornication or adultery and have nothing to worry because I’m eternally secured?? Please I would love your answer.
Colossians 1:22-23 22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: 23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister; IF is a conditional word....It would suggest that if you continue in the FAITH grounded and settled and not be moved away....then you will be presented HOLY and UNBLAMABLE and UNREPOVEALBE in His sight would love to hear your explanation of these two passages ...thank you
I am not Corey, but I will do my best to shed some light on your question brother. Whenever a conditional statement is used by Paul like in your example of Colossians I believe he uses it to differentiate between a believer and nonbeliever, it reminds me of 2 Corinthians 5:17 where he states if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation. The old has passed away, behold the new has come. If someone has repented of their sins and put their faith in Christ for salvation, I would say the Scriptures agree that the person will continue in the faith until the end because of the grace of God in them via the Holy Spirit giving the person the ability to continue in the faith which is a gift from God. Like in Romans or in Galatians if you do not have the Holy Spirit, you are not saved. The Holy Spirit indwelling a believer is the indicator of the promise of eternal life in that we have been forgiven, redeemed, adopted as a child of God and are in His good grace now seen as cleansed and holy. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6 We can absolutely be certain that nothing can ever pluck us from the powerful almighty hands of our Lord, He is faithful to deliver on His promise and He wants us to have the assurance of it. Hope this is helpful, blessing to you brother and may we continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18
@@fernbebop2006 context suggest otherwise...I see no comparisons in the following passage Colossians 1:23 23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard I disagree....the way this writes its a statement towards them....encouraging them to remain faithful and to continue in the hope of the gospel
But Paul is always writing to the church which is the spiritual body of Christ, so those born again. That is his audience. So the conditional phrases are for the believer,. Obviously there would be unregenerate people probably reading Paul’s letters but I don’t think that is ever his audience and who he is referring to as those who would fall away. Only someone in Christ and in the race can fall away. You cannot fall away from something you don’t possess. Jesus prayed that His disciples wouldn’t fall away so He clearly knew they could.
@@travisstolcis3056 judas fell away.....acts 1:25 to take part in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place and he was an apostle....he was a believer....just food for thought
This is the first time I've heard it explained like this. This was very insightful. I will have a question that I will ask when I have a little more time. But thank you for biblical explanation.
I reject all of that giving the gift back, in the name of Jesus, I reject all of your forfeiting of faith, in the name of Jesus. I reject all apostasy in the name of Jesus. I know my brothers and sisters and they know me. If you are concerned about losing or forfeiting your beliefs you need to take it to God, if you're trying to practice perfection you've already failed and you're most likely walking in your flesh. We are trying to live holy and allow the Holy Spirit to sanctify us. How can I defeat the enemies of God, I can't, the human agents are just actors on behalf of the kingdom of darkness. I appreciate you Smartchristian for tackling this subject as you do. So many people are concerned about losing, forfeiting, walking away, falling away from God; the question is are you in GOD by the blood of the lamb. Life is hard, life is tough and we need a Saviour, thank you Lord Jesus for saving a wretch like me.
Great exegesis Corey ! I had previously been convinced that this verse was misued based on an article by Harry Ironside (Eternal Security of the Believer). But your explanation was even better, because you really take us into the minds of the Jews at the time.
I think it says Peter fell away when he denied Christ but he was restored. But I don’t think Peter was rejecting Christ intentionally but was reacting in the flesh in fear not because he was no longer a believer.
SMH. This was one of the worst teachings you've ever done. I can refute all of your poor interpretations. lol ain't nobody saying what about this. Let me know when.
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
Here’s ones that’s not in Hebrews. “For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.””
In Hebrews 6:6 The writer doesn’t say that it’s impossible for saints to fall away, he says that, if they should fall away, it’s impossible to regain them to repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and bring him to an open shame. To crucify to themselves the Son of God, is to separate themselves from Christ. Like, when Paul spoke of being crucified to the world, and the world to him; And when they crucified to themselves the Christ, they abandoned Him, and returned to the other side of the cross.(a dog to its vomit) And in their falling away state, it’s impossible to regain them to repentance, because they’ve separated themselves from the only way to repentance; which is Jesus Christ.
Bro I was once in the faith assembly of god church and I saw many brothers and sisters who gat Baptize and couple years later went back in to the same life stiles they left behind them , up to this very day I was once a part of them we once drink liquor and beers and smoke ganja dance fight curse Gamble ECT .we wore drinking from Friday Saturday and Sunday but that Sunday is the lost day I put a drink of alcohol in my mouth I told my GOD Jehovah. These are the words I was drunk because we drink from sun set that Friday to sun rise Sunday non stop drink and dance we party on limited.but I told my God if this is the purpose that you give me life for please take it away from me if you cannot change me because I do not want to living such a stupid life drunk many of my so call friend tell me God don't listen to drunker. I said get away from me Satan and that same minit I get sober and never drink or smoke or gamble.and that was when I was 17 years and today I am 53 years old and still worship Jehovah our God through Jesus Christ
Let me see if I can put this in the right words. What I am seeing that the writer of Hebrews is saying, is that it's on the side of the person, that it's impossible for him to come back, and renew himself again unto repentance, seeing that he crucified again to himself the son of God, and put him to an open shame. It's not like Christ cannot save him again, but it's that it's impossible for him to come back, and renew himself by repenting from dead works again. The word of God says, even if we are faithless, he (Jesus) reminds faithful.
@@Phil-oy6mw Thank you, then He says He will turn you over to a reprobate mind. Idk why people think they can use salvation as a license to sin and not face judgement. God knows your heart and He knew people would use salvation as an excuse to sin without penalty. Thats why He spoke on it in Hebrews 10:26
@@RoseTheRealest True believers are not using salvation as a "license" to sin. Also keep in mind that sin is more than mere transgression. Sin is anything in our hearts, known and unknown, that deviates from God's original intent and design. Context is everything. The book is written to the Hebrews (some of which were believers and non-believers who were practicing Judaizers). All of them, the believers and non-believers were very familiar with the old way of doing business (Old/Mosaic Covenant - law, priesthood, sacrifices for the purification of sins, etc.). Holistically, the book in a real sense is telling them to abandon their old way of thinking and doing business. Now, specifically regarding Hebrews 10:26, it is written in light of what the author wrote in 10:19-39 with a special emphasis on vv. 19-23 - the inauguration of the new covenant. This makes perfect sense when you consider that the writer has been warning not to be disobedient, specifically, an evil unbelieving heart which was addressed in great detail earlier in the epistle (Heb 3:12-19). Remember that chapters and verses were not incorporated until the 13th and 16th centuries - it is one long letter written to a particular group of people who did things a particular way - the Hebrews - which is why these things are not addressed in detail with the Gentiles audiences because they would not have had the same frame of reference and therefore no need to go into great detail. But this is written to the Hebrews who had the prophets, the Old/Mosaic covenant and everything it consisted of (all of which the author addresses at various points in the epistle). The big idea is: Hebrews, you now have the Son of God, don't go back to the old way of doing business so that you will be saved (Heb 10:38-39).
Context is everything. The book is written to the Hebrews (some of which were believers steeped in a particular culture and non-believers who were Judaizers) who were used to doing things a certain way (Old Covenant). The book in a real sense is telling them to abandon their old way of thinking and doing business. Moreover, Hebrews 10:26 is stated in light of what the writer said in 10:19-39 with a special emphasis on vv. 19-23 - the inauguration of the new covenant. This makes perfect sense when you consider that the writer has been warning not to be disobedient, specifically, an evil unbelieving heart (Heb 3:12-19). Lastly, remember that chapters and verses were not incorporated to until the 13th and 16th centuries - it is one long letter written to a particular group of people who did things a particular way - the Hebrews.
Yahshua was Baptized for us he was crucified for us buried and raised again in justification for us that is he did all the work and offered himself up through the Eternal Spirit and the only thing to do now is believe the report John 6:28; 19:30 Isa.53:1-
What about somebody that wants to commit suicide? Do they go to heaven even though they believe that God died on the cross? But they could not give their problems to him or too much in his life or her life
Respectfully, as someone who doesn't agree with OSAS, Corey didn't prove anything here. It seemed like he was starting off well but it became confusing at one point and then he ended up ranting about things I already agree with without carefully making his point.
Hello. I'm wanted to get an answer to something that was told me me about my salvation. If I was not baptized in the name of Jesus that I'm not saved because I was baptized in the name of the Father Son and the Holy Ghost. Can you please explain the differences because both are in the bible.
I think this is a play on how the interpretation is perceived. Let me ask a question. Lucifer was perfect in ALL his ways. How in the world did he turn away from God?. I dont think preach that a person can lose his salvation. The work of Christ is ABSOLUTELY secure. I think its clear that once a person truly has been born again, they still have a will. A person CANNOT lose his/ hear salvation, yet they can walk away. Lucifer did and he was perfect and in Gods presence.
Yes, they can walk away in their sinful flesh, but the new man (born of God and sealed unto redemption) remains in the Father’s hand, as no man (person) can pluck them out. Jesus said they will in no wise be cast out (no circumstance)
I don't disagree with your interpretation from a historical perspective on what the Hebrew people might have taken this passage to mean, however, since scripture is not of private interpretation (2Peter 1:20) and all scripture is for our learning (2 Tim 3:16), a person who does not know the ancient Hebrew mindset can benefit tremendously from this passage, by rightly dividing the word (2 Tim 2:15) . I am responding to this post because this very passage came up in bible study last week and I had to really seek the Lord's heart about it in order to convey one of the truths found in it. God always provides examples in scripture of the doctrines that He teaches us, comparing spiritual with spiritual (1 Corinthians 2:13). "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame." Hebrew 6:4-6 The key phrase in this passage is "fall away"... Esau fell way - Hebrews 12:17 Sampson fell and was restored - Judges 16:28 Saul fell away - 1 Samuel 28:16 David fell and was restored 2 Samuel 12:13 Judas Iscariot fell away Matthew 27:5 Peter fell and was restored John 21:17 All of the men who fell away may have felt remorseful or metamelomai (Greek) All of the men who fell turned to the Lord in repentance or metanoia (Greek) "For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief." Proverbs 24:16 There is a stark distinction between the two classes of people. Jesus said, "... do men gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles...?" Matthew 7:16 So the passage that follows in Hebrews 6:8 speaks directly to Jesus' metaphor. I will conclude with this, once you have been born again into the family of God, you will never have to worry about your eternal security because Jesus blood is the perfect atonement for sin now and forever and gives power to 1 John 1: 8-10. Also we are now recipients of an everlasting/eternal covenant that can never be broken Hebrews 13:20-21 God has given us His spirit as the earnest of our inheritance (Ephesians 1:14). We have assurance of understanding (Colossians 2:2) because the spirit of truth lives inside all those who come to Him according to Romans 10:9-10. A pastor once said, if you are troubled by Hebrews 6:4-6 thats a good sign... It should encourage any believer who has trouble with it to seek the Lords face and He will give you peace in your heart. You may not be able to expound on the deeper meanings until you are mature enough to do so, but God has promised us His peace that passeth all understanding... Philippians 4:7
I think you mean New Testament instead of New Covenant. The New Covenant has not been given yet and will not happen until after the second coming. The Old and New Covenant was made with Israel and not the Body of Christ.
Corey if it’s possible can you make a video on the laws the Christians follow per the new covenant ? Some people needs to see a listing because they feel since there no list we don’t have guideline and God would never do that thus the old law is still effective and we must do it to remain save .
Evidently you have not believed the Gospel of Jesus Christ 1st CORINTHIANS 15-1-4. Saying one can lose salvation is a form of unbelief is what Jesus did for us at the cross. Or should I say you have believed in vain therefore you say what Jesus did at the cross was not good enough to save you. I recommend you either repent and believe the Gospel which a child could understand or surrender at the foot of the cross because you have nothing to do with your salvation but receive the gift. Otherwise your pride won't allow it and that's a dangerous belief. Pride is why Lucifer was kicked out of heaven he thought in his heart he could exalt himself and be like the most High. Today is the day of salvation. 1st CORINTHIANS 15-1-4. Salvation is a gift of God EPHESIANS 2:8-9. The will of the Father is for one to believe in the one whom He sent John 6:40. Jesus said verily verily I say unto you he that believeth on me has everlasting life John 6:47. I could go on there are over 200 scriptures declaring eternal security in the New Testiment. Don't listen to what man says read the Bible for yourself and it will sink in. God bless 🙌 🙏 ❤️
Really? What did Christ Jesus accomplish on the cross? What is the meaning of His resurrection? Please read Galatians 3 to understand that the law never could, nor ever will give life, inheritance or make one righteous in the sight of God. Those things are only given freely by God’s grace and received through faith, alone, in Christ Jesus. The just shall live by faith. And the law is NOT of faith.
@@krissyyoung9264The law that's being spoken of in the book of Galatians is the law of circumcision in the flesh and animal sacrifice Gal 5:I-4, mostly circumcision in the flesh.
@Corey, If a person confess to be a Christian, yet go out their way and everyone else's way to do malicious and wicked things to another Christian are they saved or were they ever saved?
We dont know for sure. We do know that their should be fruit that comes with the Holy Spirit. That person was likely never saved but they could just be caught up in sin.
Jesus says you will know them by their fruit. John 13:33-35 33 “My children, I will be with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so I tell you now: Where I am going, you cannot come. 34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” 1st John 4:7-12 7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. I pray this is helpful my friend!
@@TheKwill32 okay, one more question please... If one is caught up in sin and lose their life tomorrow, what will be their fate? (If that makes sense) I ask questions, because I am still learning and have a lonnnnggg way to go! Thank you for your help💕🙏🏾
This is speaking of true salvation not the salvation we say we have. How can we say we are new and continue cursing or doing things that please the flesh. Jesus intercedes for the lost not the saved. We should know better because the Bible gives vivid instructions
Who is the Bible warning about sin, And why? I think it would be helpful to know and understand why does the scripture warn about sin? What impact does sin have on a believer? These are other questions that stem from this teaching.
Scripture says the deceitfulness of sin hardens the heart tot the conviction and leading and voice of the Holy Spirit. I think the.danger is God turning you over to your own sinful desires where you stop responding to the Spirit and get to a point where you start dinning deliberately because you don’t even recognize you are sining as your conscience is getting seated and you don’t confess and repent and don’t ever plan on doing so and the Spirit leaves you dead in your sin. That’s my estimation of the danger of sin. The danger is starting to walk in the flesh instead of waking in the Spirit which leads to life and peace and the flesh leads to spiritual death and judgement.
Why then would the writer of Hebrews be warning them and comparing them to those who do fall away if they cannot fall away? It sounds like the writer is simply encouraging them that they will not fall away but not because it is not possible.
You say that a person recieves the Lord and then after years becomes a gay leaves the correct way of living he doesnot loosr his salvation, oh I know your answear he nevery knew the Lird, give me a break. You need the spirit that reveals the truth about the scriptures.
The sin they were demonstrating was unbelief. Yet, it isn't a warning, but an exhortation to go on to maturity on Christ. There isn't a single scripture that teaches those who belong to Christ can be lost to hell
All scripture is relevant in that it’s teaching us God’s truth, but that doesn’t mean all scripture is speaking about the Believer who has been baptized into Christ.
Has anyone else heard of sean griffin talking and debating about how Jesus is the high priest in heaven, and how he is sacrificing animals for our sins. Also he says that Jesus does it, cause the Father has to eat.
Please don't belive OSAS. The scriptures are there. If you want to know reach out please but don't believe this. This is why so many Christians are struggling with sin. They feel justified but are really unjustified. It's like you're actively accepting the sin in your life. There is no sin we have to do. If he has the power to cleanse us then we are. Answer this...why would I need to endure until the end if I'm good once I accept Christ. People would just end their life early instead of enduring if OSAS was true.
If anyone says he is without sin he is a liar and the truth is not IN him Furthermore, can you know exactly when you do lose salvation ? How and when has or does God break a covenant? OSAs is the entire Bible message.. it’s not one scripture … it is the plan of God since the beginning… it’s the Only reason Jesus came to earth … you think it’s a game ? You think you’re smarter better more perfect than the Christ? Then his blood? This is blasphemy.. examine yourself … believing you can actually do anything to reverse salvation is absolutely Antichrist teaching it is a doctrine of demons … in fact the people that tend to believe such nonsense are the ones who follow the group calling themselves demon slayers… false doctrine breeds false doctrine
@926paaja Im sorry you don't fully understand, but this platform won't help you. Antichrist is the denial of Jesus Christ. I'm not perfect but being perfected. I'm not better than Christ and nowhere close. I 100% am a believer in Christ and his Doctrine.
@eddw9 I'm willing to have an open dialogue. If you want I'll provide my contact number for open discussion. Maybe it's something I missed, but explain Galatians Chapter 5 and the mention of v24. Remember it's our flesh that is corrupted by sin.
I like your channel, I don't disagree with your comments, but I do say this, stop preaching the true word and speak false truths, it is dangerous to let people think they are OK if they sin and continue to sin and think they are going to be OK. They don't lose but walk away from the truth. Ultimately we don't know who is truly saved, the Angels will separate in the end and when we die each individual will then know. That is why we walk with those we agree with , how can two walk together unless they agree. Keeping ourselves from deception. But we watch our brothers from falling away to restore them , we don't let them fall away and think they are OK, that's dangerous. Also when I have used the term bleed the blood, I mentioned that in the way to bring remembrance to the hearer your praying for to remember what has been done at the cross . Great topic
Also some of the false teachers out there that have given there lives to the Lord , are we to say they are going to make it in, then there is no reason to call them back to repentance. Adam and Eve were pure and new the truth, but chose to be disobedient. I know the blood of Christ hasn't been applied yet, but dangerous to lean that people are going to make it in when they are not living it. There are many professing Christian's that eat with the wicked, and think this is OK even though the Word of God tells us to not even let the wicked into your house. We must be careful not to be wishy washy but direct so we don't put stumbling blocks in front of people to let them think they are ok.
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his, Romans 8:9.
that video was one big strawman and misinterpretation of scripture to make it fit the once saved always saved doctrine. Not everybody who believes you can lose your salvation believe in semi-Pelagianism; where someone is "saved by Christ" but must "maintain salvation by works. the same way justification is not apply until the person ratify the work of the cross, that same person can decide later on to walk away from the faith. it's called free will. The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels. there's a condition there
Corey, tell us again how John 3:16 doesnt actually mean what we plainly read ?! Also, exegete Hebrews 3:12-14. Its important to know what one is plainly reading doesnt say what one thinks it does. Sort of like proponents of annihilation. A "proper look" removes eternal hell from the scripture. So they say.
These Future Hebrew believers receive the gift of Eternal life the moment they believe but their Salvation will be given at Jesus 2nd coming. When Jesus starts the New Covenant with Israel and takes away their sins = Romans 11:26.27
Hey, Corey, if not one page of the Bible was written to us, What do you do with Acts Chapter 2 verse 39. "For the promises is on to you and to your children and to all that are afar off, EVEN AS MANY AS THE LORD OUR GOD SHALL CALL." This kind of negates, what you just said, about the bible is not written to us.
Also Scholars debate on who wrote hebrews. Some do believe it was written by Paul. Here again you should let people know that is your opinion, that Paul did not write Hebrews.
What does it mean when it says " they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh and put him to an open shame" hebrews 10: 26-29 gives the answer " for if we sin willfully AFTER that, we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins , but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries, he that despied Moses law died without mercy under 2 or 3 witnesses of how much sorer punishment suppose you shall he be thought, worthy, who hath trodden underfoot the Son of God and have counted the blood of the covenant where with HE WAS SANCTIFIED, an unholy thing and have done despite onto the spirit of grace?
And why would you say he is not talking to the hebrews that HAVE accepted Christ when Hebrews chapter 2 verse 1 says "Therefore, we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard less that any time we should let them slip." What is he telling them not to let slip? He is speaking of what they have already been told to be obedient to, in Christ.
You need to quit twisting these scriptures to meet your agenda, of once saved always saved because you know better. The scriptures say there will be a FALLING AWAY, which means apostacy of the faith (2 Thes 2:3). You cannot fall away from a faith that you were never apart of.
Exo 12:7 every house hold (body) applies the bllod of the lamb to thier door post (heart) So every believer is to pled the blood, apply the bllod of Jesus the Lamb of God
Revelation 22:19 is not to a believer In fact, although we should be careful with all of the Word, that warning is specifically about the book of revelation. There are some wonderful studies and commentaries on it. But to get to your real question.. no, You can never lose salvation or eternal life once you have it. Jesus says so. ❤
@926paaja prophecy is thru out the entire Bible not just the book of Revelation. And u need to understand Hebrews 3:7-19 and Hebrews 4:1-3 those that came up out of Egypt with Moses were baptized under the cloud, and in the sea to Moses. But eventually those who were 20 years old and up, were cut off from entering the promise land, and entering into God's eternal rest (eternity with Jesus). Because they could not keep the faith, they couldn't endure until the end. Hebrews 4:1 is talking to the believers that's us, it says, let US therefore fear lest the promise being left to US any of US should fall short of it. What's the promise? The promise is eternal life. What's falling short of it? U losing that eternal life. I'm sorry that somebody told u that Revelation 22:19 was written to sinners but they were wrong, because a sinners name is not in the book of life, Revelation 13:7-8. Only those who are supposed to be saved are in the book of life. Revelation 22:19 was written to believers, sinners are not teaching the word of God. And the only thing In the book of life is your name. Leave Bible prophecy alone, if u don't understand it don't teach it, and u will not have to worry about your salvation.
@krissyyoung9264 it's simple, don't teach on Bible prophecy unless u understand it. And once saved always saved is absolutely true if u keep the faith until I die. U can't give your life to Jesus and go back into your sins, and die in your sins, and be saved, and go to heaven when you die. U remember the story about the "talents" in the Bible? One was given 5 talents, another 2 talents, and to another person one talent. Well the first two doubled their talents, but the one who was given just one talent took it and buried it. Then Jesus came to redeem them, and the one who was given one talent said to Jesus. I knew u were a hard man, and u reaped where u didn't show, and I was afraid, and I took what u gave me and buried it, and he went and dug it up and gave it back to Jesus. And Jesus said u wicked and lazy SERVANT u should have put my money to use, so I could have collected what was mine when I came. Take the one talent from him, and give it to the one that hast 10 talents. And take this unprofitable SERVANT and cast him into outer darkness there shall be weeping, and gnashing of teeth. What do I think the weeping and gnashing of teeth is? It's not heaven that's for sure, so this servant lost their salvation they had in Christ, because they were wicked, and look lazy, we must be about our Father's business, u must be a doer of God's word, and not a heater only or u will lose your salvation, and be cast into hell just like this wicked, and lazy servant.
Doesn't Herbrews 6:4 go with 1 John 2:19; Matthew 24:10; Romans 1:21-25. Oh that was a good good point who was the bible written to? Who is being spoken to at that times.. The jews no the old covenant laws etc... So your saying not everything in the New Testament applies to us ,just as the old covenant doesn't... True... Hold up but most the jews rejected Jesus... So if they never received to begin with how does it apply to them. And if they were enlightened- educated made to understand, spiritually aware etc.. That would mean they had received Christ and then turned away back to law... That goes with what was preached in Galatians 3:10-14.. So all those verses are to jews who have been enlightened/spiritually aware, given understanding ,learned etc... So they received ,yet turned away and were being told if you turn away there is no more sacrifice for them ... What about Hebrews ch 3-4 Unbelief meaning depending on law instead of Grace and finished works of Christ; rest meaning total dependence upon Jesus Christ finished works alone... Because of unbelief they were cut off... sinful unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God Hebrew 3:12; Hebrews 4:16-17 with 3:19 their disobedience was their unbelief or lack of faith in Jesus Christ and his finished works- instead they turned back to law and dead works etc... Wow the more I dig I'm beginning to see it... But the bible also warns that we too must continue lest we fall. He warns not to harden the hearts which in Romans shows leads to reprobate . And Romans 11:11-24 especially verses 20-22 says to those who continue, verse 21 do not be arrogant ,but tremble for if God did NOT spare the natural branches "jews" ,he will not spare you either " Gentiles who harden their hearts, turn away unto unbelief".. In context it's about unbelief in what Jesus Christ did on the cross and shows they were enlightened, yet chose to reject the only sacrifice therefore they never enter God's rest ,their hearts become hard, they turn away or fall away from the only one who can saved them etc..... verse 22 shows some do fell or fall away... Alot of verses support O.S.A.S. and shows it's God that makes us firm til the end etc,but only if we rely on him... To where others do show some falling away becoming reprobate etc due to unbelief etc.. Yet it also say they really didn't belong if they completely fall away .. But how can they fall away from something unless they were once part of it to begin with is my who point ,and God even warns that we must endure til the end and tremble because if God didn't spare the original he will not spare us either in Romans 11:20-21... This is kinda confusing because it seems to contradict... Help me understand this Lord..
But it says Jesus saves forever only those who draw near. The believer has to draw near to God so if they don’t then Jesus cannot make atonement for future sins right? Isn’t this implying that the person has to confess and repent in order for Jesus to forgive ongoing sins, otherwise they won’t be forgiven. This seems like it is implying that a believer can forfeit their salvstion if they chose to fall back into sin and not intend to confess and repent.
To me this sounds like it's all about the sanctifying blood of Jesus and the gift of the Holy Spirit, which removes the sin nature from all who believe. The removal of sin in the book of Hebrews is literally talking about removal of the propensity to sin from believers, something the blood of bulls and goats definitely can't do. Not sure why believers in OSAS would need to be told to have patience?
So, when the Jews rejected Jesus and His sacrifice, they were being told that it was over, if they rejected the ONLY sacrifice, being Jesus, then, they had NO other way to get to Heaven
The passage refutes Catholicism. They claim you can fall out of grace and then through penance come back. The passage says you cannot come back. They completely misunderstand this and always use it as proof that you can lose salvation. They got it backwards.
These Hebrew believers do not have Salvation yet. In Hebrews 6,9 the word (accompany) in Greek is echo which means (to have) Salvation. These Hebrew believers will receive Salvation at Jesus 2nd coming = Hebrews 9:28. Romans 11:26,27 confirms this.
if Hebrews only applies to the Jews, then why do we need to even consider the book. I read these scriptures as Paul is talking to Jews who have been born again and they depart from the faith (fall away - 2Ths2:3; 1Tm 4:1) and to all born again believers. All of the warnings in the new testament have to do with being stedfast and grounded, continuing in, the faith. Why is it a stretch for you to think that our free will is still in play even after we believe. What is the difference if a born again Jew falls away or a gentile falls away. How is it that a Jew can be lost if they go back to keeping the law, but a gentile cannot be lost if they go back into sin. This don't make any sense to me. "full assurance of hope until the end" sounds exactly like persevere until the end. If He is able to save forever those who draw near to God, then what happens to those who decide to fall away or depart from the faith, they have decided to not draw near to God, therefore it is impossible to renew them to repentance. They are lost !! Which is what 6:7-8 is actually saying if you interpret it correctly which you don't.
Once you receive the Holy Spirit you are sealed written in the book of life you are being renewed spiritually. It is impossible because if you are willingly sinning you have not yet received the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed and marked for the day of redemption [the final deliverance from the consequences of sin].
You’re correct up until “willingly sin” We all willingly sin admitting it is a different story Paul said what I want to do I don’t and what I don’t I do We alllllll do stuff that is not pleasing to god and we allll grieve the Holy Spirit .. sin is not just fornication or stealing or murder it’s the little things that corrupt us The solution is to repent and continue on But, no we can never lose salvation but we will always sin and fall short of the glory of god until the day of redemption
@926paaja the spirit reminds us what is wrong willful sin can be avoided by daily consumption of God's word in order to recognize it. Galatians 5:19-21 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things likethese. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
@926paaja we are sealed and kept for the day of judgement but will be judged for all the things we have done while being in the spirit. 2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.
I will Never understand how we (humanity) try to define the love of God, Jesus said in John 5:42 But I know you, that you have not the love of God in you. We may know love in our life, but What is the love of God? Can we have the love of God in us without God? John 15:19 1 John 2:15 OSAS is a divisive term, I reject it, Eternal security belongs to God. When we become born again by God and only God, do we become unborn again? No. Absolutely the Bible says one may fall away, (What from believing that Jesus is who he says he is who God says he is)? What does that mean, to fall out of fellowship, out of relationship, am I ever not my father's (earthly) son though we may not have a relationship? We're talking about position and relationship.
The only unforgivable sin if blasphemy the Holy Spirit. That person was born again. Only you born into Kingdom of God your worked can have no worked and your soul want loose your soul.
IT IS IMPOSIPLE because these christians have chosen a way that is no longer valid. All they have to do is repent. It is impossible as long as they refuse to repent and follow Jesus again. They were enlightened but have forsaken the way of Christ. Christians who have FALLEN AWAY and are LOST because they are following a way that is not His way. OSAS is pure nonsense!
@@LeroyPerry-je9sh a person is saved by faith & their ultimate salvation is guaranteed by continuing in the same faith they had in the beginning not by works. Colossians 1:23 “if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard..” Romans 11:22 “Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off” The issue with OSAS is now u must explain the people who where once preachers & missionaries that where truly passionate about their faith that later became atheists. Ether there will be apostates in heaven or they were never truly saved, if not, how much faith is saving faith if truly passionate Christians still fall away & never come back?
@@calebrwhite96The problem with your question is that you are judging according to outward appearance. God judges the heart. Besides that, a question is not an argument. *were
@@ricksonora6656 so u who have to say that anyone who falls away from the faith & doesn’t come back never had saving faith? The problem is so many OSAS believing churches including my own, will have a person they barely know pray the sinners prayer, pat them on the back & announce to the whole church that they have been saved. My point is, clearly if OSAS is true then there is a certain amount of faith that qualifies as sufficient saving faith, so unless u know where the line is, u can’t know who has it & who doesn’t including yourself.
Once born again. You are more natural man (like Adam). The Devil got no more control over you (flesh man). You are child of God. Jesus Christ pay price any sin that can be committed. Just ask and will forgive you.
Revelation 22:17-20 the Bible written to Jews (1st) then Gentiles. The New Testament saints were grafted in because of the Jews unbelieved . The second covenant is the second man (Jesus Christ) now spiritually man . Sin has no more dominion over you. Be holy as I am holy.
I reject all denominationalism! I'm a follower of Jesus and I reject "Christianity" the Roman Catholic Church religion, organization of the Popes, established in the 4th century A.D. the worship and veneration of Mary and saints, their 7 sacraments. Come out from among her ye believer, God is not mocked.
I think we agree here. Much of Hebrew exhortations are to encourage believers to endure. Like when you said “that’s not you.” I’ve heard a perspective on that passage as it being a hypothetical. It doesn’t give any examples of people actually doing what he warns. Rather the point is that God has done all He’s going to do in the sacrifice of Christ. So to look at that lightly would be to trample under foot the blood of Christ. So- that’s the point. It’s not a passage with the intent of warning about losing salvation. It’s a passage to emphasize God’s unspeakable gift and to not take it lightly.
People need to stop reading the Bible to make it fit their understanding and read it so God can give them His understanding. Well said brother
How can you say that unless you are a Jew?. According to Corey this letter is not written to you but Jews
Thanks Brother Corey, I cannot hear this enough! Christ's blood is enough! 😊

Doth not the Scriptures says that understanding is with the heart: What does God mean to believe with our heart? Romans 10:9-10;
John 12:40;
John 3:3, born from above,
Who can overrule God?
You really think a lot of yourself if you think you have anything to do with your salvation at any point in time … getting it or keeping it
Smh
Pride is dangerous
Brother Corey, thank you! That was an excellent explanation of Heb.6.
First 5 minutes of this video saved the issue...Rightly Dividing the scriptures...written to Hebrew + Jews....Great Job Corey
When I read your comment, I felt the tingling sensation
amen!!!! 🙏 yes! Nailed it
Good point
This is not about sinning and repenting of sins, it's about leaving the faith all together. We have forgiveness of our sins, by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, but when you leave the faith, you are turning your back on Jesus, and what he has done for you.
@ I literally just posted the gospel and you missed my point. I’m not gonna debate on whether you can lose your salvation by walking away,if you believe you can lose it then go ahead
To people who reject OSAS. Have you sinned since you’ve been saved and if so did you lose your salvation?
You have to acknowledge that the scripture did say the wages of sin is death... the opposite of eternal life. So the important thing is not to worry about who is sinning or how many times one sin but to make sure you are following the teachings of Jesus Christ.
@ would you like to answer my initial question with a yes or no?
@ no it’s not. Repentance I.e a change of mind is required for salvation. Salvation and forgiveness are not the same.
God bless.
2 Peter 2:20-21 KJV
[20] For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
The believer or God?"
According to the Bible, God does..... I'm glad it's not up to me. I would have lost it by now......
@@thewholeninelives Yes, God wants those who want to be with Him. That's why he lets us choose to sin or not.
@@TheWordisLight is it up to us to "maintain" our salvation?
@thewholeninelives Yes, in collaboration with the Holy Spirit.
22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
IF is a conditional word....It would suggest that if you continue in the FAITH grounded and settled and not be moved away....then you will be presented HOLY and UNBLAMABLE and UNREPOVEALBE in His sight
would love to hear your explanation of these two passages ...thank you
I am not Corey, but I will do my best to shed some light on your question brother.
@@fernbebop2006 context suggest otherwise...I see no comparisons in the following passage
Colossians 1:23
23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard
I disagree....the way this writes its a statement towards them....encouraging them to remain faithful and to continue in the hope of the gospel

Jesus is not going back to the cross ,therefore there is no more sacrifice, he is the last ,final and sufficient offering forever.
🔥🔥🔥 AMEN! Thank you Jesus!
This is the first time I've heard it explained like this. This was very insightful. I will have a question that I will ask when I have a little more time. But thank you for biblical explanation.
Always love your studies Corey. God bless you.
Thank you brother, this wzs good . GOD bless.
Not written too you but for you. Amen. I wish more would realize this maybe then they'd stop throwing themselves onto the pages of the Bible.
You are really helping me brother Corey.
What bible app do you use?
How can someone be blotted out the book of life and not loose his salvation
Where does the Bible say a believers name would be blotted out?
That verse was a promise not a warning that they wouldn’t be blotted

11:23 Can I Get An AMEN!!!
Very good teaching Cory. It is a very difficult passage to understand without taking the background and the proceedings passages into consideration.
The scriptures that are used to support OSAS isn’t written to us. Yet, we use them.
What are you implying, that we can lose salvation?? Lol
Like, when Paul spoke of being crucified to the world, and the world to him; And when they crucified to themselves the Christ, they abandoned Him, and returned to the other side of the cross.(a dog to its vomit)
And in their falling away state, it’s impossible to regain them to repentance, because they’ve separated themselves from the only way to repentance; which is Jesus Christ.
Some people really want to take credit for their salvation. Sad thing is if they think so they dont have it.
Hebrews 10:26 next?
Probably not 😂
@@Phil-oy6mw Thank you, then He says He will turn you over to a reprobate mind. Idk why people think they can use salvation as a license to sin and not face judgement. God knows your heart and He knew people would use salvation as an excuse to sin without penalty. Thats why He spoke on it in Hebrews 10:26
@@RoseTheRealest do you think there is any coming back from this having been turned over????

I agree with with.angelswatch. if it isn't written to and for us, then how can we be born again?
Respectfully, as someone who doesn't agree with OSAS, Corey didn't prove anything here. It seemed like he was starting off well but it became confusing at one point and then he ended up ranting about things I already agree with without carefully making his point.
Hello. I'm wanted to get an answer to something that was told me me about my salvation. If I was not baptized in the name of Jesus that I'm not saved because I was baptized in the name of the Father Son and the Holy Ghost. Can you please explain the differences because both are in the bible.
When you were baptized, who did you put your faith in?
@krissyyoung9264 ok, so what happened to lucifer?
"For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame." Hebrew 6:4-6
The key phrase in this passage is "fall away"...
Esau fell way - Hebrews 12:17
Sampson fell and was restored - Judges 16:28
Saul fell away - 1 Samuel 28:16
David fell and was restored 2 Samuel 12:13
Judas Iscariot fell away Matthew 27:5
Peter fell and was restored John 21:17
All of the men who fell away may have felt remorseful or metamelomai (Greek)
All of the men who fell turned to the Lord in repentance or metanoia (Greek)
"For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief." Proverbs 24:16
There is a stark distinction between the two classes of people. Jesus said, "... do men gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles...?" Matthew 7:16
So the passage that follows in Hebrews 6:8 speaks directly to Jesus' metaphor.
I will conclude with this, once you have been born again into the family of God, you will never have to worry about your eternal security because Jesus blood is the perfect atonement for sin now and forever and gives power to 1 John 1: 8-10. Also we are now recipients of an everlasting/eternal covenant that can never be broken Hebrews 13:20-21
God has given us His spirit as the earnest of our inheritance (Ephesians 1:14).
Good job Corey, spot on.
The Church is not under the New Covenant.
The Church is under the law of Faith = Rom 3:27 and the law of Christ = Galatians 6:2
John 13:33-35
33 “My children, I will be with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so I tell you now: Where I am going, you cannot come.
34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
1st John 4:7-12
7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.

@@TheKwill32 Good answer, however we have to remember that that Jesus Christ warned us about how we live for we know not when He will come.
John 10:28 explains our eternal security
Why stop short of reading Hebrews 10:26?

Absolutely!
You say that a person recieves the Lord and then after years becomes a gay leaves the correct way of living he doesnot loosr his salvation, oh I know your answear he nevery knew the Lird, give me a break. You need the spirit that reveals the truth about the scriptures.
If it didn’t pertain to those who were grafted in then why would it even be in the scriptures if it was irrelevant…?
What’s your thoughts on Trump revoking the Equal Employment Opportunity Act of 1965 ??
Do you know what it actually was in practice and how it played out in our country ?
Please don't belive OSAS. The scriptures are there. If you want to know reach out please but don't believe this. This is why so many Christians are struggling with sin. They feel justified but are really unjustified. It's like you're actively accepting the sin in your life. There is no sin we have to do. If he has the power to cleanse us then we are. Answer this...why would I need to endure until the end if I'm good once I accept Christ. People would just end their life early instead of enduring if OSAS was true.
Have you stopped sinning completely? It’s a Yes or No question
If anyone says he is without sin he is a liar and the truth is not IN him
Furthermore, can you know exactly when you do lose salvation ?
@926paaja Just by me looking at your words and how you address my message tells me you should read your word for yourself.
Also when I have used the term bleed the blood, I mentioned that in the way to bring remembrance to the hearer your praying for to remember what has been done at the cross
There are two types of believers in the letter of Hebrews.
Those the have Eternal life
And those that believe for a while = Luke 8:13
Hey, Corey, if not one page of the Bible was written to us, What do you do with Acts Chapter 2 verse 39. "For the promises is on to you and to your children and to all that are afar off, EVEN AS MANY AS THE LORD OUR GOD SHALL CALL." This kind of negates, what you just said, about the bible is not written to us.
I'm starting to think that the explanations you give are not biblically sound.
Exo 12:7 every house hold (body) applies the bllod of the lamb to thier door post (heart)
So every believer is to pled the blood, apply the bllod of Jesus the Lamb of God
Why don't u explain Revelation 22:19 a believer losing their salvation?
If it’s your belief that a Believer can lose their salvation, can you align your interpretation of Rev 22:19 with John 6:37, 1 John 5:13, etc…?
Revelation 22:19 is not to a believer
In fact, although we should be careful with all of the Word, that warning is specifically about the book of revelation.
What about Hebrews ch 3-4
Unbelief meaning depending on law instead of Grace and finished works of Christ; rest meaning total dependence upon Jesus Christ finished works alone...
Wow I actually get it now.
That’s not a defense for once saved always saved
Can you prove the Apostle Paul didn’t write the book of Hebrews, the writing style is identical to Paul’s.
And if you do fall away from god you need to repent if you choose come back you have free will it's like the prodigal son
You’re correct up until “willingly sin”
We all willingly sin admitting it is a different story
Paul said what I want to do I don’t and what I don’t I do
We alllllll do stuff that is not pleasing to god and we allll grieve the Holy Spirit .. sin is not just fornication or stealing or murder it’s the little things that corrupt us
The solution is to repent and continue on
But, no we can never lose salvation but we will always sin and fall short of the glory of god until the day of redemption
@926paaja the spirit reminds us what is wrong willful sin can be avoided by daily consumption of God's word in order to recognize it.
Galatians 5:19-21
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things likethese. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
@926paaja we are sealed and kept for the day of judgement but will be judged for all the things we have done while being in the spirit.
2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.
@926paaja "go and sin no more"
@ what do you think that scripture means?
I will Never understand how we (humanity) try to define the love of God, Jesus said in John 5:42 But I know you, that you have not the love of God in you.
We may know love in our life, but What is the love of God? Can we have the love of God in us without God?
John 15:19
1 John 2:15
OSAS is a divisive term, I reject it, Eternal security belongs to God.
Twice dead. Plucked up by the roots.
Corey Cooked
It was written to the Israelites Jews not the Jewish Ashkenazi Jewish people
Amen sir,once saved if saved
IT IS IMPOSIPLE because these christians have chosen a way that is no longer valid. All they have to do is repent. It is impossible as long as they refuse to repent and follow Jesus again. They were enlightened but have forsaken the way of Christ. Christians who have FALLEN AWAY and are LOST because they are following a way that is not His way. OSAS is pure nonsense!
It's amazing how people can trust the ever lasting blood of Christ to save them alone, but not to keep them.
No one doubts the power of God's salvation, but on the free will of man to do what man has always done
@@LeroyPerry-je9sh a person is saved by faith & their ultimate salvation is guaranteed by continuing in the same faith they had in the beginning not by works.
Colossians 1:23
“if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard..”
Romans 11:22
“Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off”
The issue with OSAS is now u must explain the people who where once preachers & missionaries that where truly passionate about their faith that later became atheists. Ether there will be apostates in heaven or they were never truly saved, if not, how much faith is saving faith if truly passionate Christians still fall away & never come back?
It’s literally grieves my heart 😢
@@calebrwhite96The problem with your question is that you are judging according to outward appearance. God judges the heart. Besides that, a question is not an argument.

Sorry that's wrong hebrews 6 is saying to the Christian jews that might want to go back to Jerusalem
Like when you said “that’s not you.”
I’ve heard a perspective on that passage as it being a hypothetical.
