Man I don't get why everybody's hating on him. At least he admitted he's not a good freestyler, it's not like he came in thinking he was hot. He was just having fun with it, and that's how it should be. Wiley is one of the most talented artists coming out of Chicago rn, and one of the most unique artists in the whole rap game. Go listen to his Village Party tape before you jump to any conclusions, that tape was fire. Wiley is something new and different, and I don't think you guys are ready yet for a rapper that breaks out of the norm and does his own thing. Wiley makes music, not just straight up rap, and you old ass "hip hop heads" frown upon that idea. Wiley also can't be placed in one "subgenre" of rap, either. I also don't think you guys are able to accept a rapper from Chicago who's actually positive instead of one who glorifies all of the issues in Chicago. Oh, and by the way, he's mixed. Not full white, and definitely not Hispanic. So get that out of here. That shouldn't define how you look at him and/or his music anyways.
I like this man yo. this man straight tbh. He prolly won't on anyone's grammys to win list but when he gets on he'll be a strong force in pushing forward the culture from an alternative stand point, think about Cudi when he came out.
