    bought this kit before this video came out and let me say, finding where the amps mounted was probably the worst part of this install. I decided to mount them in the glove box for the time being and it's fine but now that I know where they go thanks to this video I can properly complete this install. Thanks! system sounds amazing for any of you that are looking at getting it!

    When I look up this kit, it says it’s only for the unlimited. Is there something different for the 2 door?

    My sub (same like yours) does not seem to be working. The amp it is connected to has a blue light. What can i do to troubleshoot? What can i look for?

    Just to be clear, if you have a 2011 with the factory Infinity sound (mini sub box in rear cargo) then this will not work with that Jeep? What about it needs "professional" installation?

    I bought the Alpine iLX-407 and the Alpine SBV-10-WRA for my 2015 Wrangler Unlimited, stupid me thought I could use the amp already installed for the speaker that is installed in the back. What amp would you suggest buying? I was considering the Alpine KTA-30MW Tough Power Pack, but I’m by no means an expert.

    If you have an aftermarket head unit and arent using the base adjustment knob hardwired into the harness what should we set it to? Or is there a way to jump it out altogether??

    I followed this video instruction for my kit but audio cuts for 1 second every few minutes, any idea what could cause this?

  • @Tex735

    Maybe a stupid question, but why doesn't Alpine provide a kit like this for folks who have the factory Alpine sub in the back. I have lock boxes under both front seats so that sub is a no-go for me. I'd still like to upgrade the speakers and the sub in the back should be able to be upgraded as well. Kinda feel left out here....

    Best informational video out there great job very comeplete details and camera work ,very helpful. I have 1 question as for the poly cushions would it be better to put a hole in the right center toward the wiring of them so you can feed the wire through so the cushion speads out better and flatter ? It also seems with all that vibration the filler will drop some toward the cone not sure velco would work Just a thought i had ,awesome video just asking 😂

    i got this kit through crutchfield, i have the alpine sound system. what are the extra steps to make it work? im assuming its splicing the factory amplifier plugs, to the alpine harness?

    • @chrisdaugherty2700
      @chrisdaugherty2700 ปีที่แล้ว

      no splicing at all. truly plug and play. just installed mine yesterday. they give you everything you need for installation on the factory Alpine or the OEM receiver.

    • @crossfirecat3594
      @crossfirecat3594 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chrisdaugherty2700 So your kit came with different harnesses depending on which radio you have? I have the alpine premium radio and our installer told us the speaker wire polarity is opposite from the base non amplified stock system. They wouldn’t install it because he said they would have to cut and splice the harness that was included.

    Do you need two amps for this set up? I have the ilx-w650 with Kta-450. Is that going to be enough for my 2016 jku?

    • @homiehangout1566
      @homiehangout1566 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely remember that its not a weather proof amp so maybe try fitting it under the trunk trim or under a seat to keep it from getting wet when you have the top down

    Has anyone run into an issue with the sub not having any power/firing? I have this kit installed with the iLX-407 head unit. Everything sounds great, except nothing from the sub.

    I'm pressuring the sub can't be stolen out of the car unless the seat is removed, is that correct?

    • @robertmcvicker728
      @robertmcvicker728 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is correct. The sub fits like a glove. No way to remove it without unbolting the seat.

    With the Sub under the passenger seat, does that make the ride for the passenger uncomfortable when you’re blasting the music?

      Haven’t had any complaints. The subwoofer level is adjustable just in case.

    Hi, I would like to know if it is possible to install the sub woofer under the driver's seat instead of the passenger's seat?

    • @AlpineTV

      You may be able to with a custom install but the included bracket is meant for the sub to mount under the passenger seat specifically.

    Followed this excellent install video, however, i get a pop sound from the speakers upon turning the key to ACC or starting the vehicle. Other than that minor annoyance, everything is awesome! Any insight on what my issue could be?

      What head unit are you using? You may need a different source for remote turn on.

      @@colinvargo3418 same problem here, the stock head unit.

    • @homiehangout1566
      @homiehangout1566 ปีที่แล้ว

      check your fuses for everything, usually means you have a blown fuse somewhere within your sound system. Other than check, check all your wiring harnesses, you may have something lose, check your amps make sure you have solid connections on everything, if that doesnt work open up your head unit and unplug and replug everything and it should go away.

      @@homiehangout1566 i did all that stuff before even posting. working in the IT field for 20+ i always do all the basic obvious things first before reaching out for further support. After researching, I've read in a few places that the 'power on' procedure/order with the factory HU can cause this. I've read that folks who had it with the factory HU the problem went away with an aftermarket HU. I plan on upgrading, so I'm not too worried about it. But appreciate you taking the time to reach out and reply, that you.

    great info can I ask what was done with the factory sub in the back.

    • @colinvargo3418
      @colinvargo3418 ปีที่แล้ว

      There was no factory subwoofer in this one. If yours has it, there are some extra steps involved that I can walk you through. I would disconnect the factory sub once this system is in place as it won’t be needed and won’t help with output.

    • @robertmcvicker728
      @robertmcvicker728 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I removed my factory sub and found on Ebay an OEM panel for about $120 that is the piece that would be there if you didn't have the sub(Identical to the interior panel on the other side) and got back extra storage space. You can even drill a 1" and reinstall the 12v auxiliary power plug. Just be very mindful as there's only 1 location that it will clear everything.
