Hi, I love to go to Powell's when I go to Portland... My cousin and my friends take me to there...
I found this video because I wanted to see how Powell's looks like but I'm gonna stay and watch your other videos. The way you talk about all these different places and all the tidbits you share are awesome. I love experiencing distant places through a local's eyes and learning stuff that most people wouldn't know. Greetings from a Polish guy living in the Netherlands.

They have at least 3 locations that I know of.

I love Powell's. When ever we go to Portland that is one of our main 3 places we go. So happy they finally reopened the pearl room.

The building at 6:30, I remember 1996 they remodeled that building and had a grand opening party with a spot light in front, I lived around the corner at the stark street hotel at the time, lol

I like the new Oregon license plate design. We were able to get the Smokey Bear Oregon plates when they came out. Nice day in downtown Kreeper.

Always thought it was a good look to teach kids about fire safety and to have the love of the land especially in Oregon I think it really did make a difference in people's choices when those commercials aired.

Hi Klearski this video rocked. Loved everything about it. I always like to see the buildings, architecture and old signs from different cities. Just like you I would go in for a slice of pizza after a late night concert. They were the only place that was open till three a.m. I liked your tour of Powells new and used books. I love book stores. I could probably spend hours there, and I’d definitely pick up the Bela Lugosi bobble head. Also like you, in Toronto we had a store that was called The World’s Biggest Bookstore, I’d spend hours there looking at art books, photography books, music books,but unfortunately it closed in 2014 and I was very sad. I think this store was probably similar to Powells. There is another bookstore I really like in Toronto called BMV it sells new and used books, magazines, comic books, graphic novels, vinyl, blu rays, action figures and collectibles, I love this store. Again like you I have to take a bus, and two different subway lines to get there, but it’s worth it. Before I head home I always stop in for ice cream at a quaint little shop and usually get the coffee flavour. Thanks for the great video. Cheers
Oh very cool, yup its a journey but that is what makes fun to get there, always a good time at the bookstores especially Powells, I would go to the technical books location too, so much interesting stuff, I'm a science guy so I love that place. Gotta love Powells Books! It's been some time since I've been in there, but I found a really hard book to buy there many years ago that I really wanted. The Harvard Dictionary of Music. I'd love to have some of their Murchandise!
