CSX Main Line Action Delaware County PA 1986

CSX Main Line action, including several run-bys at Fairview Rd crossing in Woodlyn, PA and other locations. The second train sports an 8-unit consist (with 2 GP30's) with five different railroads represented. Vintage units are on all of the trains which reminds us of the days before all locomotives began to look alike.

Did you take most of your Conrail-era videos on the Philadelphia Sub around Fairview avenue, or did you also hit other crossings as well?

Over the years I shot Conrail video at several locations: Port Richmond yard, Enola, Rutherford, Allentown, Blandon, Reading, Pot Yard, Va. Black Rock Tunnel., and Park Junction. Fairview Rd in Delaware County was the CSX Philly sub main line that had a lot of Conrail run-throughs. Amtrak did not want Conrail to use their main line so many ran on CSX to Park Junction.
