Nice video. I have a lot of good memories of watching trains pass by on the CSX Philly Sub out my great aunt's apartment window from 1999-2002. She lived next to the tracks in Yeadon near Darby at the time.
This had to be around at least 1996 because the first locomotive in that NS consist 9000 a D9-40CW wasn't built until April of 1996 (GE order # 1868) as a part of a 355 unit order.
Don't know the exact road name for 3:01 but I'm pretty sure it's between Chester and Darby. The shot at 4:18 is the crossings at Naamans Creek Road and Meetinghouse Road, just west of W. Feltonville.
Aw man the 90s! Those were the days! I remember when I was a kid here on CSX we had Chessie, YN1s, YN2s, and all that CP/ SOO Haulage rights (Got moved down to NS in 2005). I miss those days. The YN3, GEVOs, and GENSETS are making the railroads too generic...........like Europe!
there may be a variety of train companies in this video, but this is not a CSX line, this is a Baltimore & Ohio line - I know, I grew up down the street.
It’s amazing...so much has changed, and yet so much hasn’t changed at the same time.
Nice video. I have a lot of good memories of watching trains pass by on the CSX Philly Sub out my great aunt's apartment window from 1999-2002. She lived next to the tracks in Yeadon near Darby at the time.
2024: such nostalgia looking back. Good to see Chessie units!
I have vague memories of all the cool stuff that used to run through here... You definitely don't see this anymore. Nice video!
Awesome video!

Dude almost got smashed at 5:17
The 6th street crossing @ 5:15 was my old hangout. Winand's drugstore was there then......a shelter from the cold.
At 4:07 is the train crossing Naamans Creek Road and then Meeting House road Boothwyn, Pa?
You can still catch "anything".I caught an Amtrak unit on CSX Q439 last night!
That’s cool
HOLY SHIT!!! Some fool at 5:18 and 5:19 darted in front of that train! That guy was simply nuts!!!
nice GE -7 unit! really great video compilation.
Wow, ALCos still on CP. Now, a rarity. And nice Chessie unit!
@nanshant The crossing at 3:01 is Fairview Road, just East of Chester. In 2002, they were replaced with Safetran equipment.
Howdy,
That Is A Nathan K5LA Trainhorn, One Of The Best Trainhorns Ever Made!
Bryan
@CSXkid22 3:01 is Amosland Road in Holmes or Prospect Park (depending on the side of the tracks). I grew up right up the street from there.
ekapus Holmes.
CSX 5940 is an ex NYS&W B40-8 and it appears there are also some ex C&O B30-7's on those trains. You don't see this anymore!
Don't know the exact road name for 3:01 but I'm pretty sure it's between Chester and Darby. The shot at 4:18 is the crossings at Naamans Creek Road and Meetinghouse Road, just west of W. Feltonville.
Very nice keep'em coming
Great Video! That guy at 5:19 is VERY lucky!
@nanshant When was the shot of the Namaans Creek Road crossing made?
Aw man the 90s! Those were the days! I remember when I was a kid here on CSX we had Chessie, YN1s, YN2s, and all that CP/ SOO Haulage rights (Got moved down to NS in 2005). I miss those days. The YN3, GEVOs, and GENSETS are making the railroads too generic...........like Europe!
Odd to see NS units with B&O signals nearby. 5173 is ex Southern and 1608 is ex N&W
What is that beautiful horn on the B40-8 at 3:26?
Must be the 90's. 4-axle power on the hot shots.
Formidable footage from the 90s. Very nice. Cool diesel sounds. Thumbs up! :)
Greetings
Mega

there may be a variety of train companies in this video, but this is not a CSX line, this is a Baltimore & Ohio line - I know, I grew up down the street.
ECWnWWF actually it’s an ex B&O Line now it’s the CSX Philadelphia Subdivision. Get your facts straight.
