Good ideas! I had mapped the screen toggles to the extra 2 buttons on my VSL/PAL hat switch. Great minds think alike. Jester though I don't have a keyboard when I fly, but you gave me an idea. I'm going to try out mapping the TDC analog mini-stick to control the wheel. Also the snapview I may do in other aircraft as well, like the F16 MFDs are really small for the Litening pod so it will be good to have a zoomed snapview
Best way is to use Voice attack software and use voice commands for jester. And its even more realistic as you would communucate via radio with your RIO in RL.
I'm sure voice attack can work well in some situations, but since (from what I've seen in videos) you need to speak a little slowly and clearly, I don't think it would work best in a fast moving combat situation. I may be wrong since I don't have any experience with voice attack, but the keyboard number code system I use allows me to give jester commands very quickly
I tried voice attack several times and several different ways. Each time it has shown to be more frustrating than the time and effort to try to get it to work consistently. Combine that with SRS and Discord chat and you have a mute/Ptt nightmare waiting for you
You set the pilot tacan for that tanker and let’s say you want to return to the boat. Can you go back in the Jester menu for that or should this been done manually? Do you need to take it off of Pilot also? These tips are very good. I got taken out by a flanker that air spawned behind me as i was RTB and that won’t happen again now.
Hi! What would be your idea to change the aft radio quicker? In a multiplayer environment I find it quite hard to switch aft channels while flying formation. Thanks!
I had no clue you could see behind you in the sa page, thank you soo much!
This is a fantastic guide. I’ve flown plenty in the tomcat and have always used trackir for jester. Gets tiring after awhile and you can lose SA.
Really helpful. Even for a VR flyer. Thanks.
thank you! I was actually searching for tips on how to get a quick TID look.. didn't know about custom snap view! Awesome!
The shortcut to the TID is a really good tip
Gold tips! Thank you

Great points and informative but quite a lot of practice for sure. Navigation is my handicap, good video
Nice tips! Thank you
thx for video👌

Your mentioned Tacan bug is no bug. Its working how it is supposed to be.

How did u hide the tomcat stick???? 😮
Just press the Backspace key
Most planes in DCS (not all) use the backspace key as the default for hiding the stick.
You don't have autopilot on right? You just trimmed it to stay level?
I was using autopilot while I was talking and recording the video.
