everything about this game is perfect, the graphics and fast paced action with no HUD and that it never stops, truly a dream compared to the other copy + paste FPS trash that would be endlessly spewed out
Just got a ptsd flashback of me as a little kid doing this section on hard pacifist. Dying over and over... and over. For real though this game was so ahead of it's time it's actually insane.
I got this game December 2009 for something stupidly cheap like £4 and I played it all weekend. Honestly it was such an experience. Not enjoyed anything like it since, and subsequent playthroughs are not the same... As other people in the comments have said, the lack of any HUD is brilliant, and I wish more games took this approach. The 'Still Alive' track pops into my head randomly all the time.
@@boi3987 ok? Starfield is not the even close to being the best game of its era. To me the best game that came out in recent years is DOOM Eternal, and its better than any old classic imo.
I think the games biggest problems were: First person parkour takes a bit of time to get into and most reviewers complained about that before giving the game a real chance, too short and lastly THOSE UGLY ASS CUTSCENES.
@@SweetAHE Well, iconic is one way to put it. I certainly don't know any other game that has really good ingame graphics but then decided to use some Esurance animation for the cutscenes.
This game is literally Hotline Miami in first person

Yep. one of, if not my favorite game of all time.
The laggy controls in a game that requires perfect timing... perfection...
@@Smokinjoewhite how/when are they laggy?

fave game
This really says a lot about
Last game to use PhysX cards
Love it when the combat isnt all wonky and the RNG doesnt have literal aimbot enemies though
Fantastic
Goat game. Few like it but none are as brilliant.
I specifically hated this exact mission
This game was also published by EA
Yeah, it looks like it came out 15 years ago.
Still fun though.
Ok? I don't see anything extraordinary for 2007.
Compare it to starfield.
@@boi3987 lets compare it to something from the same era, crysis 1 for example.
@@Narko_Marko Point still stands, Crysis and Mirror's edge both surpass Starfield

Dont forget the wanky combat for some reason they counter your jump kicks attack by making the blocking animation is kinda stupid lol
The game had massive input lag too, I wanted to like it but the controls were horrendous.
UGLY CUTSCENES?? HOW DARE YOU THOSE ANIMATED COMIC-STYLE CUTSCENES WERE ICONIC.

@sirbig8292 no I totally agree, it ABSOLUTELY DOES look like the progressive insurance commercials from back in the day lol
