some different in 4:00, The rg value of the math OP still larger than zero no matter how big the number is subtracted. So the rectangle would not center
@@supermarketsallad you are right, and there is a funny, I realized the pixel format problem, but the button of channel mask for RGBA is differernt from yours, might be the version differences, and now it works.
There's something weird about how the RGBA mask is showing on the video in the Math properties. Flip the masking colors so the RG is lighter and the BA is darker. That should solve it. I had the same problem.
the life component is not making the visual loop. i followed ur tutorial exactly on how to make it, i did the customise component part as well and then exported it.
Select the mull that container the initial positions to positions the colors to. I dont remember what i namnes that null in this tutorial, but it’s the one that feeds into the feedback and life-component. That we named either start or init
Paketa12 is a great resource, this one for example: th-cam.com/video/hoCCEtWzVGc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=LLeAHJoRXyTCQvf2 When working with pointclouds like this, it can be good to think of red, green, and blue as x, y, z coordinates. Every pixel is one point in x, y, z space. And their position in xyz-space is determined by their rgb-value. But paketa12 is a fantastic resource for understanding this unintuitive logic.

kind words, I appreciate it. :) i'm glad people find them helpful.

Probably because you are not working in 32 bit float. Change the pixel format :)

Awesome tutorial! Just one question... Why do you multiply the threshold with the grid map inside the life componet?
Your explanations are great

The best in the game this is totally insane
:)
How does one even come up with this? This is insane!
Hey, what did you mean at the end by drag the initial positions (init-null) to the select. Which select and what exactly do I drag? thanks!

So good
