What a fantastic video: bright young man, great music. What can’t your family do!? Plus, my ancestors came from Wales, so the tour was wonderful.

Not a boat-builder, but practically rebuilds a boat; not a musician but jams jazz with the best of them. A man of many talents - and a great video, thanks :)

Hello captain Jack , your very informative sailor I can't wait to see you and your family in the future in Bahamas, Bootle Bay . I have couple of questions that maybe you can help me with , 1 where did the term knots come from and how , and 2 how many miles are in a degree .Also I hear you British say bits and pieces what is that 🤔 like fish and chips. Now don't have your mom and dad help you with the Q and A .God bless you guys and stay the course and stay safe

Knots comes from British many years ago. They tested the depth of the sea they were on by dropping a long rope with knots at known spaces. When the rope (with Lead at the bottom) hit the bottom of the sea they only had to count how many knots were at top when the lead was at the bottom of the sea.
The word knot is still used, and that is why its different to feet and inches.

I visited Caernarfon in July 2019 with my Mother as I was visiting her in the UK from Australia , We stayed in Porthmadog for 2 weeks and explored this gorgeous part of Wales, I walked the docks looking at the boats for hours. Wales has a special place in my heart. You have a great little family and life. Gday from Matt in South Australia.
