I was told by a dealer that the best years for this car are,2005-2008..Not the gas ones,the diesels...Tanks! I've done 220kph in my 2.0l and surprise a lot of folks when I creep up on them on the autoroutes! I've got the full leather option and it's the best car that I've ever owned...I want to give it to my kids,and get myself a 2008 2.2l ,full leather pack... I'm not sure if there is another similarly priced car out there,that will offer you the same level of performance and reliability...Unbeatable.
The diesels are absolute tanks. And they're very fast for their size

From Spain, i have mi old´s dad Toyota Corolla Verso D4D 136CV (2005), diesel, and i´ve drive it at 220km/h. The car made 586.000KM and still running! ... Toyota...

I got mine 2 years ago, 1.6 petrol engine , 2007, 110 000km. The car is brutal. I drove my friends diesel 2.2 and it's not the same car. Petrol on this car is better and faster in my opinion, but less economic. Really great car, rarely seen diesels under 250k.
That's right, but although it's a diesel, it accelerates very well with only 136 hp 💪🏽
I am thinking of getting one like this, do you recommend having one? And is it too old to buy a 2007 model or is it ok for this car?

@@Mr.E._. It's surprising how well those diesels pull, even our 2.0 D-4D had some good grunt.
got mine with 1.8 petro engine in 2017 it can go 200 on highway and up to 220 (lost both mirror cover caps at that speed) when it gets downhill, sadly my first gear starts to slip so im getting rid of it next year
I've had the 1.8 petrol (2006) and the 2.2 Diesel, The petrol will happily get to 130MPH, the diesel I've had to 150MPH and it possibly had more.
I did 120 up a big motorway hill diesels are phenomenal just gotta keep eye on oil changes and using quality original Toyota antifreeze

@@xzenogears The diesels are excellent, our former 2.0L D-4D done 125mph (201kph) completely packed and laden with the family and our luggage including a roof box on top as well.
Great car! I have the same 2.2D4D 136ps version (as in this video). It is very underpowered by factory settings, which make it great for remap/powerbox tuning. You can easily tune it to 180ps, 400NM (or even more) without any problem or downside.
after 1 year, how is your experience now with that engine?
@@aaronx1377 Hi! I have had this car since 7 years (still have it now). Really never had any problems with it. I think it is the best engine for this car - it is reliable, it is economic, runs smooth and has enough power, it is not slow by any means.
If you are asking in the context how the engine is due to the Powerbox installed - well It was installed on the car even before I bought it (so more than 7 years ago), and never caused any problems. But have to point out, it was installed in a renowned tuning studio, not by amateurs.
@@pavelstefanov8987 cool, i'm asking because this engine had problems with the head gasket and the pistons, but for what u telling me seems clearly u didn't had those problems.
I wish to get one with that 2.2d4d engine, something like the Avensis.
@@aaronx1377 I have heard about this gasket problem, but I don't believe it is very common. I didn't have it, but I've had my car from 100K km to 200K km. If you are looking for higher mileage car (which is common for these models, they are bought to be driven), who knows...
You mentioned Avensis - have in mind this exact engine modification (136hp) is not available for the Avensis, which is bad, because it is the best modification... It has solenoid fuel injectors, instead of piezoelectric and don't have PDF. The Avensis 2.2d4d only has the D-CAT 150hp and 177hp modifications, which I believe all have DPF and piezoelectric fuel injectors (which are much more expensive to recycle, even more to replace). If you have to replace those fuel injectors - it could be 1/3 price of the car.
u did it all that by yourself? can u something similiar with 1.8 vvti?
My corolla Verso 2.2 DCAT is chipped from 177 hp - 400 nm. to 227 hp and 510 nm.

Had for work the d4d 2.2 low load high-lux 2004 I believe....5 speed and went like mad....went off the clock so easy.
I have Toyota Verso (December 2016) Diesel, 6 speeds, 1.6 L. I like this car very much. It is now about 73000 km. My question, how fast can I drive it? Ich have not driven more than 160 km/h because I am not sure what can the car do. What is your opinion?

I genuinely love this car so much, our family had one for 11 years and it never let us down, we even went for a little bit of car camping with it! I still miss our beloved Toyota.

Bin mit meiner Verso D4D 2.2 136PS schon 230 km/h gefahren ( Finde das Auto im Video nur 200km/h etwas langsam... Da muss mehr drin sein)

Bedenke, dass der Tacho ab ca 70 immer so 10 bis 15 mehr anzeigt als du laut GPS fährst
How reliable is it?
Pretty good, but the car need a clutch and Gear replacement at around 270 000 km, and its a pretty beafy Price for me it was 2300 euro for the replacement

fuel consum the same like this joke toyota. 2.5 tdi 5.2 l / 100 km / h on the highway cruiscontrol 150 km / h and the 2.5 tdi beats any kind of this 1.6 toyota.
