I downloaded the klasha app and used it to order an item and they've been stressing me since. The app isn't easy to use, they still have a lot of work it do. I had to complain before I was finally able to place an order. Now for my order to arrive, problem. It's 2 days past the estimated delivery date they gave me and they're telling me my order is still being processed and they're not even giving me a date when I should expect my order. The app is a good idea, but they still have to work on it.

Thank you so much Ezinne for talking about this. I’ve stopped going to Balogun market cause of this! The catcalls, the touching, some would even insult you again for not responding 🤦🏾‍♀️
I’m glad that I wasn’t the only one experiencing this and regardless of how dressed down you are, they would still see you 😭 😭 😭
Thankful for vendors that take it upon themselves to do the shopping for us and for technology that helps us do our shopping online honestly, it’s a blessing.

1:04 Girl, I hated being grabbed too by the men at the Lagos market (normalised harassment), but I didn't have much of a choice then not to go into Lagos market. I had to hawk fruits in Lagos market every day from 2002 to 2006 just to be able to go to school. So girl, I am glad you talking about this. I hope to share my experience someday.

    Hi Ezinne 💫
I live in Kaduna and it’s honestly same here. I legit have to look for the baggiest, ugliest clothes when I go to the market because I don’t want to be touched or seen.
I don’t know what it will take for this to stop cause I’m not sure they understand how traumatising it is .
But thanks for sharing and spreading more light on this 🤍

Ezinne! Thank you for bringing up this topic. I naturally don't appreciate physical touch from strangers, no matter how little but you see at Balogun market they act like it's their right to touch you. You complain and they flare up like your body isn't yours. It's so terrible and I'm glad you brought this up. I have experienced it too many times so I decided I'll stick to shopping online and if I can't afford it then it's not time to buy it yet. I'll definitely check out Klasha!

I remember once going to mile 1 market (in PortHarcourt, Rivers State) with my mum and immediate younger sister. They started touching us and my mum kept warning them but they didn't listen. She got really upset and slapped one of them. Nobody dared touch us till we left the market.

I grew up in Abuja and never really experienced the grabbing but when I moved to Ibadan I started experiencing it and it wasn't just in the market, infact it was rarely in the market,I could be walking on the street to the nearby restaurant and they'll not only grab me or stylishly touch me , some of them have tried holding me to a halt in ways I'll have to struggle myself out of their grip.....

Honestly Ezinne, I understand what you're talking about very well. Even with the fact that I'm a guy, there's still a lot of cat-calling, and trailing. I always go with my mum and even though she's still with me, there are still times when they'll grab my hands or my mum's and will be forcing us to come to their shops. And in all honesty it's just so uncomfortable, because I really don't like people touching me without permission. I really, really dislike it and I feel like they're just invading my privacy, which is something that is very important to me. I just don't know why they can't leave us alone. You see guys that say it's not that bad and you ladies are overreacting just don't know what they are saying. It's sad that the harassment has become so normalized. It's just sad and frustrating, because we all want to be safe and have a sense of security, but they see it as so normal to give us the exact opposite of what we want.
But thanks a lot Ezinne, for addressing this issue.

I am so sorry you experienced all that you did at the market, I pray that God continues to protect you and guides you to a safer market in Jesus name 🥰🙏🏾 I loved the things you brought from the store but I couldn’t hear anything you were saying during the haul. I wanted to also say you have been a blessing to my life of following the ways of God & the truth of the Gospel 🙏🏾
I pray that may He continue to use you to reach the lost souls and those that have gone astray in the church, may God bless you & your husband, protect & guide you in your marriage 🥰🙏🏾I pray for more good health, be healed in Jesus name, for strength, joy, peace, wisdom, discernment, courage, more faith, determination, holiness, more hearing from Him, honesty, patience, receiving His Love, Self control, seeking Him, more self care, more help with temptations, more trust in Him, more trusting in his victory, more waiting on his timing, more walking in love, deepen the knowledge of Him, revelation of his word and Him to draw closer to you, May His will be done in your life in Jesus name 🙏🏾 I command all anger, compromise, emotions, discouragement and despair, fear, guilt and condemnation, unforgiveness to go, pride, rejection, selfishness, stress, self-exalting to all go in Jesus name 🥰🙏🏾
I definitely know God led me to you, I came across your videos not that long ago as I watched the consecrated life, seek first his kingdom, waiting on God the one you did with your friend & loved your recent one on obedience, this is really important God has been speaking to me on obedience and this is how we should live by faith and obedience, paying the price Christ didn’t die for our sins for nothing, we can’t just accept him and go back to the world which he saved us from which was sending us to hell, it is completely coming out of the world and giving ourselves devotedly to God, repenting of our sins, living holy as he is holy and following him as he leads no matter what.
Thank you for your obedience 🥰🙏🏾 xx

Wow. I never knew it was this big. Thank you for the awareness. It is an issue and it is high time it was addressed. I have always hated going to the market the pushing, pulling and harassment. Thank you for recommending Klasha, I have lately become an online shopper and looking for great options👍💕

My favorite part is where you spoke about the bra outline, I’m always conscious of it as well and I use singlets for it. Although, it’s not usually so comfortable because of the weather sometimes, sweats and all, but I believe it’s worth it.

Ezinne God bless you for finally pointing this out, it's so annoying!. Even with my mother with me, these men will hold my hands and drag me into their shops forcefully and I hate contact with my skin.. you can imagine the number of persons they have touched or what they have touched!!. My mom would always stay behind me because of that incident, the harassment is real. Thank you I really enjoyed the video, watched it twice and I love your taste of clothes and your choice of making life easy technologically. Yes!!!, I have been laughed at actually by female roommate in school, because of the layering under my top( singlets, camisole). I am glad you are in the same page, so glad thank you ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

I grew up in Osun State and it was a thing! Definitely not as traumatic because there were only certain areas of the market in my town where it'd happen (typically in the 'wears' section) and the harassment wasn't as bad as it seems to be in Lagos markets. Whew!

Quite insightful I must say…Thank you for throwing light on this subject, the idea of dressing down never worked.
Now I have resorted to responding to each and everyone, but hey I know you might think, this is ridiculous! Yea it is, cos it tires me out.😌

Plus the way Ezinne just crossed to the other side of the road trying to avoid him😂😂😂
It just reminded me of my last experience at the same market😭😂...I mean I was tired of saying "I'm not here to buy anything (I was actually there with a friend to see a couple who will be getting married)....omo, these guys won't leave me o🤲🏼😂 ,the moment one leaves another one will start to engage me in a conversation that I don't want to be part of....they now sperated I and my friend... different people, trying to convince us to buy clothes 🤲🏼😭😂😂😂

Leaving the house knowing that you're most likely to be harassed is more stressful than going out in the first place. I live in Port Harcourt and it's the same story.. it gets worse because when they see that you're a bit difficult they flare up and insult u 🤦‍♀️why am I so angry right now?? When will these harassment stop??
