      Toland Baj you were quite entertaining and truthful in your commentary. I've always marvled at Nigerians and how proud they are. You have quenched my curiosity as to how they treat women, its sad that we have( black women as a whole) to behave dominant in order to protect our feminity. Keep your head up and I wish you all the best O....

    For anyone planning on making a Trip to Nigeria it is important that you know someone there, just like she said. I lived in Port Harcourt a little over a Year. When i get off the plane everyone has their hand out asking for money. No lie i'm not even exaggerating. I'm coming all the way from Cali and I tell them it's not easy for Black Folks in California and I'm definitely not Rich. Even when I was leaving they were asking for money like i was Bank of America... The roads are not great in Nigeria. Also the Electricity is not steady. I went 30 days without Electricity in Port Harcourt, but in Lagos the Electricity seem to stay on longer there. I mean it will stay on for 12 hours straight and cut off for about an hour or two and come right back on for like 8 hours. Port Harcourt, the longest it ever stayed on straight out there was 6 Hours then it will go off for about 2 to 3 days before it comes back on... Also you have to negotiate everything just about in Nigeria. The only thing i like is how the food is Fresh and the food is good and healthy as well. Because of the Humidity you will lose weight easily especially eating their food. Also they do not cook their BEEF real tender they like it tough and well done, like you will lose a tooth biting down on their Beef and Goat meat.. Well if you want to know more just ask. Because the Poverty is Great in Nigeria.

      As a man let me defend nigerian women.: Most of the girls does not have her resources, for example, you have to feed your mom and brothers and morals does not help on that issue, lets not forget the country that we are talking about, you can have morals when you have resources to defend yourself

    • @sesayida

      @pointofgrace3002 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      do not reply dumb people Don’t think so BUT. It ALMOST seem as if you’re defending amorality in your defense of Nigerian women. Are you saying that the women have to feed their relatives and the nation has no resource so......morals can legitimately take a back seat. Almost sounds like pimp talk. It’s good not to judge a woman for trying to survive any way she can. But with so many agreed,can the man now see the woman as a resource? .When do MOST Nigerian, African and/or Globally men of African decent take full responsibility for the state of the black woman and children? ALL sub Saharan African rulers are black men from the villages to the presidents. The Global state of the African and the diaspora is abysmal. Why are there no resources? The white man has taken care of his woman and children by any means necessary. This is a good defense of the Nigerian woman or any African woman but she will need MUCH MOOORE than explanations here.

    • @TopG_KnightofOne
      @TopG_KnightofOne 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@pointofgrace3002 Men are the protectors of the community but you cannot take full responsibility for grown people. I'm not from Africa but that's just facts. Because Black women here in America are realizing the downfalls of being masculine, and not appreciating men by the high babymama stats and low marriage rates. To sum it all up basically you can't expect people to protect you from your own bad decisions accountability is part of being a adult

    I think this video is more for people who wish to move or live in Lagos not Nigeria as a whole. I see a lot of generalisations. You dont have to behave crazy to live in Nigeria except for lagos.
    Most Nigerian generally see lagosians as crazy people. As a Nigerian living in Nigeria, I cant stand Lagos. Its too stressful and crazy.
    I remember when I was preparing for a professional exam and some colleagues came from lagos and they were asking if they had to wake up at 4am to be at the venue for the exams, those of us living in Abuja had to explain to them that Abuja is not like that. I cant imagine leaving home at 4am to be at a functon that was slated for 10am. That is the definition of crazy and no wonder most Lagosians are crazy.
    For anyone who has lived abroad and wishes to live in Nigeria, Abuja is the place for you. Some people suggest Jos too but I cant say much about it, because I have not lived there.

    You nailed it 100%. This is a good description of life in Lagos. To be honest, even some of us in Nigeria can't live in Lagos. The life is too rough for me. I was born and grew up in Jos, Plateau state. I can't stand the hustle and bustle of Lagos life. I will rather live in Jos or Abuja.

      @@sandraokafor9532 absolutely. And the mistake a lot of people make is when they visit Lagos from the abroad and have bitter experiences, they will generalise and say 'Nigeria is this and that' forgetting Lagos though the commercial capital of the country, is not a representative of a country of 36 states with 200+ million people, with different cultures and ways of living. My simple advice is if you are moving from abroad to Nigeria and don't like the stress and hustle and bustle of a cosmopolitan city, Lagos is definitely not the best place for you because you will be frustrated 😤.

    I grew up here in Nigeria but I don't know how to finesse any body. I manage my salary and fix my lifestyle within what I earn. But, I didn't grow up in Lagos, got posted to lagos for NYSC in 2015 and I have mastered when to be calm, aggressive and quite frankly, haughty.
    The speaking up part is true. When you speak up, the others hide behind you and complain in private, but won't speak up in meetings and such, and you are the only one talking, they start seeing you as the stubborn, defiant one. But, it is well!

    Thanks for the heads up. I'm a American white guy moving there this year with my soon to be wife. She was born in Nigeria and wants us to be married there. Ive not traveled much in my life and it will be a huge step for me. She is in Lagos right now on modeling assignment. The LORD introduced us to each other. And I'm trusting the Lord and my soon to be wife to make my transition a good one. I was dismayed to learn Lagos is right on the Ocean and I CAN NOT live near the Ocean for fear of the 🌊. It's goes back to nightmares I had as a small child. Wish me good luck. Thanks.
