That little face is just priceless!! I’m sure zoos know what they are doing with these animals. They are happy. Healthy. Well fed. Their every need met without fear of predators etc etc.
What an absolutely beautiful relationship. It's a different kind of love than what mates have, but these two are totally in love with each other. How they touch each other's faces to look into their eyes. They way she feels the softness of the skin on his infant hands a feet.They way she strokes his face, then putting her fingers under his chin to lift his adorable head to look at him for the millionth time this morning! Just like human mothers do. She rubs his head making his feathery hair worse than it was before she gave him that 80s mullet😖!! She lets him explore just a few feet then ever so gently draws him back to her. Another hug! So, so many things she's feeling and doing are spot on just like a human mother would. He's trying to eat lunch and she tickles his nose with a leafy branch. I know in my heart if she could she would LOL!!! He settles back in to finish his meal as the two of them catch a glimpse of love in each other's eyes. If ever there was an expression of love. This is it!! So very lovely! I wish grown adult humans would show that much gentleness and kindness toward each other. Not like lovers just respectful and kind!💞🐵❤🐵💕
I love watching 👀these little babies ,it fills me joy especially at times like these. There certainly is no joy, during these hopeless ,sad and fearful times ,due to # 46 . I could watch these babies all day .Thier mothers are better moms than some human mothers .
Babies who are with their mothers look much healthier than the poor orphans even though the caretakers do such a wonderful job.they always seem to have more hair.
Cuteness overload!!! I'm not a fan of zoos and their attempt at keeping animals but at least this little guy has his mommy with him. I would prefer to see them in a sanctuary where the little one can cut his gums on some bamboo or small pieces of wood instead of painted steel.
Yes, too much man made steel, cement, plastic, etc. in these enclosures. I would think there are ways to make these habitats more natural and as large as possible. Some zoos are better than others that’s for sure. Conservation zoos are the best of all of them.
How old is this baby and at what age do they start crawling and at what age do they usually start walking? This baby is so so cute and this mom is a great mother to this Lil baby!!!
Before you jump on the case of the zoo just remember that it was the shortsighted greed of the people of Borneo and Sumatra that is destroying the habitat rainforest of these wonderful great apes. And as all the rainforests are being destroyed we are also destroying mankind. Without the rainforest we will not have to worry about slow climate change. The world will be a dry desolate wasteland without the rainforests.

I can't believe how similar we are as far as taking care of a infant... I've done samething with my daughter playing out on the grass with a mat of course... jus short of breast feeding damn lm a male baby loving ORANGUTAN...😳👍
Does she have a name? I wish they would cut the grass back some so she can move around better without getting all tangled up. She is adorable. I Love everytime there is a new video to watch her.

So sweet. Orangutans are such great Mothers. But orangutans live in the trees not on the ground. They should be swinging up high.

I know exactly what you mean. I love zoos, but I also feel bad that they can’t explore. Some animals weren’t meant to be sedentary.
