Mama orangutan needs a blanket or cloth she can cover herself with to shelter from the sun. I felt sorry for her trying to put the white bowl on her head. In the jungle, there would be lots of green shade and leaves to wear. Popo at that age demonstrated excellent climbing skills.
So sad these beautiful orangoutangs in confined spaces, they are tree top animals, where are the trees and stimulation ? It breaks my heart to see them like this. There are conservation projects in Borneo and Sumatra where there quality of life would be far better in more natural forest areas.
Is PoPo a lot older than Loki? I’m just curious why she is so much more advanced than he is at this point? I thought they were about the same age? I worry Loki is developing so slowly? Especially after watching her? Just trying to learn...any advice is appreciated!
@@mewmew1640 I got news for you because of us they dont have any habitat left to go back to, dont you understand that...its sad but that's the truth their jungles that are left are not big enough anymore to sustain them they literally starve to death in wild because their jungle home has been converted to palm oil farms so we can eat jif peanut butter
Yes, and it’s almost a guarantee that this baby would either be dead or orphaned by now due to greedy human beings. I never thought I would think they have a better life in the Zoo but when I’ve seen what poachers and farmers do to them when they find them in their property because they are starving .. since we have destroyed most of their natural habitat.. I think they ha e a better chance in captivity. Until it becomes just as illegal to murder a Orang, Gorilla, Chimp primate as it is a human primate things will only get worse and these beings will become extinct.
She’s definitely mastered her climbing abilities. She needs some tall trees or poles. Now she’s a born gymnastics.

Mama is trusting Popo to get around more on her own.She is getting more confident now , climbing ropes,and poles,and doing All sorts of twirls.💃🌹🌷
