      I rarely comment if ever, but I found your review very informative and thorough. I really liked your review style; calm delivery and to the point, no showing off or fake excitement. If the rest of your reviews follow the same style, your channel definitely deserves more subscribers. For me, already subbed and liked. Keep it up!

      With the A119 V3, if your driving for a long time the screen will turn off....do you know if it's still recording?
      When I touch the button to turn the screen back on it shows a recording time of between 1min to 3 min, even if I've been driving for hours.

    Got the 119 v3 and liked it so much I got another. Bought a pack of 5 fuse taps in the proper fuse design for my cars off Ebay since the hardwire Kit only comes with 1 tap instead of 2 which would result in either the hot or acc mode being unprotected. Also the camera only accepts a max of 128 gb micro sd- installing a 256 causes the camera to shut off and not work (my seller had the listing wrong so I wasted $25 to learn the hard way.) Set the battery protector to 12.2 volts and zip tied away under the dash. Gre review!

    Pre-buffered recording is so cool! I cannot believe we get this with a budget dashcam. The only issue is the hot summer heat. Running it with auto event detection in a hot vehicle may shut it down.

I have the first a119 and it doesn't like it when exposed to direct sunlight when parked.... When i return and drive off, the a119 eventually goes into a restart cycle that only stops when i take the camera down and cool it in the AC... So i have to take the camera down when i park.

    • @integralcam
      @integralcam  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my personal opinion if you want a dual channel system the choice is only the A129 between those two. I think rear cameras are very important, especially for parking mode. Parking mode capturing only one side of your car leaves a lot of information out. The V3 has better video quality but a rear channel is more important than the difference in quality IMO. The A129 still had pretty great night performance too. According to Viofo's Facebook page, the A129 Duo is gonna be $40 off for Primeday next Monday Jul 16, 2019 7:00 AM PDT ‐ Jul 16, 2019 1:00 PM PDT.

    • @integralcam
      @integralcam  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      3 years later its hard to beat still if you just want a basic dash cam with great video quality and a low price. A lot of companies lately have focused on adding more features like wifi and parking modes. The A119 Mini is a newer model but its hard to say if its any better actually. The market hasn't had much of any large jump in video quality the last few years unless you go with a higher quality 4k camera. The viofo 4k models are worth checking out.
      I personally use the garmin mini 2 in my work truck because i like the optional suction cup and how small it is, but the video quality is actually worse during the day even though it is a more recent camera.

      Sorry it may not be clear to people new to viofo cams. the GPS is the base mount, that sticks to your windshield. the camera clicks into the GPS mount. previous models did not have the correct circuitry to allow parking mode if you plugged in the hardwire kit into the GPS mount, it had to be plugged into the cameras power port. so yes there is a power port in the camera and the gps mount, you can use one or the other. the benefit of plugging it into the GPS is you can pull the camera off without needing to unplug the cable.

      I think there is a 2 wire parking mode where it switches to parking mode after 5 min of no movement. a USB cable connected to an always on power source could likely use that, but Viofo recommends using the 3 wire kit as it is triggered by your car being on or off not the g sensor.

    Is it possible to connect second rear camera to V3 to make it duo?

    • @integralcam
      @integralcam  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      no the A119 as far as I know will always be a single channel camera, you would need to go up to the A129 for a dual channel. I dont think viofo wants to splinter their product list too much.

      Or you can use a power bank, and keep the dash cam on 24/7 even if the dash cam have no parking mode feature.

    Does the V3 come in front and rear camera format? Or is it front cam only?

    • @integralcam
      @integralcam  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      it is only a front camera model. Viofo has the A129 Duo which is 1080p front and rear, and soon a A129 Pro Duo 4K model is coming out that has REAL 4K front and 1080p rear. I am expecting it to be their most expensive camera though as they are using a genuine 8MP sony sensor and the wholesale price appears to be over $300. We will see though, its suppose to be out within the next few months I think.

      @@integralcam thanks for the response! I'm choosing between thinkware f800 pro and a129 2cam systems. My concern is which takes the heat better. f800 is out of my budget by miles but I'm having massive damage while parked. I need reliability. Is the a129 considered as durable or close to f800 pro?

    • @integralcam
      @integralcam  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@coreypowell5090 I can't really say which one is more durable. I only used the A129 for about a month while reviewing it. I have had 3 different high end thinkware cams in the past 3+ years though and never had them over heat or have any faults. They seem very reliable. The only issue I see is setting up the WiFi the first time is a pain in the ass at first for some reason. Personally if parking mode is most important to you than id go with the F800 pro because it has features the Viofo cam doesnt. For one, you can set the memory card partition to have parking mode priority so more space is reserved for parking mode, so your parking mode files are saved longer than your normal driving files. This is what i personally use. You can also set a timer to 12/24/48 hours so if you don't drive for a day or two it will shut off and stop draining your car battery. looking like this is the best deal I am finding right now though so it is quit a bit more than an A129 amzn.to/2XPg3Yk, I would highly recommend a 128 gb samsung pro endurance card too which adds another $35 but you want as much space as you can get for parking mode so you have as much back log of videos as possible amzn.to/2JKdU6m

      @@integralcam I appreciate the info bigtime! Would you recommend a celink or some such power pack to protect the car battery or could I manage safely without one tho I could be parked more than one day at a time often ? Hard to afford the extra stuff but I really can't afford to kill my battery n purchase unreliable equipment.

    • @integralcam
      @integralcam  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      if you get a thinkware cam and set the timer for 12 or 24 hours you should probably be fine. I use to run two 2 channel blackvue cameras in a honda civic that gave me issues without any time limit, but i think just a single 2 channel system with a 12-24 hour time limit should be fine. If you go with a viofo cam and know you're not gonna drive for several days you might just want to unplug it, its not a perfect solution but i think viofo will add a timer feature in the future. I had more issues because i also live in MN so in the winter car batteries can easily drop in voltage over night in the cold.

    • @integralcam
      @integralcam  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't believe any of them claim to be 4k, if you look at the specs list at 3:10 you can see the image sensors in all of them. The A119 V3 image sensor has more than 1600 vertical rows. You can look up every single one of those image sensors and see Viofo is not lying. I don't recall in over 6 years Viofo ever lying about the resolution.
