Arkansas really is a beautiful state, and all the people I’ve met there are quite friendly (good ole Southern hospitality). I’d like to visit more locations in the state, so I very much appreciate this video. Thanks for sharing!!
@ Randi’s Adventures we have the same camper. What is even better is I got a Jeep truck then I was watching your video and you had just got one too! Great minds!! You are so brave going on your own. Thanks for sharing your amazing trip!
That looks like an amazing trip I too am I just a weekend warrior venture out on weeklong trips out of Wisconsin we’re getting really brave and next September we’re going to Yellowstone for two weeks
I love camping in Wisconsin Robert! Maybe our paths will cross sometime! I bet you are so excited about going to Yellowstone. You are going to have the time of your life!
Thanks for the beautiful video. The trees and scenery were wonderful. I am so glad you did this video and took those hikes, due to health reasons I can't hike like that anymore. I still camp and my husband , dog and I still go camping. My favorite places to camp are usually the mountains, near a water source, and so we can fish. Thanks.
Sounds like we like the same type of camping spots! I was laughing at myself when I edited this video because I realized how many times I said the words gorgeous and cool! 🙈
You're right... Gorgeous describes it well. Glad to see you wearing more sensible hiking shoes... LOL... You didn't want to camp in the snow? Happy Holidays!!! Pat
I know… I need hiking shoes! 😊 There is snow on the ground here now so I am pretty excited for my first winter camping trip this year! Happy Holidays to you too Pat!
What an adventure Randi! Blessed to come along. Your outfits and shoes are adorable. Any chance you can post any links to your cute tops, pants or shoes?
Basic camping is what we do. How do you manage your water, emptying tanks, propane ( looks like you needed heat?) fire wood. Looking for tips. Ran out of propane when it was cold at a basic and the furnace just kicked out cold air , oops.
When hiking, you should always carry a daypack with basic emergency supplies including water, water treatment or filter, whistle, bear spray (yes our Ozark areas have a lot of black bears and also bobcats, I have been attacked by both), first aid kit, tarp, and rope, compass, phone, fire starter kit, granola bars; especially if you are going to bring along a cute little dog that acts as bait to attract wild animals. If accidents were predictable, they would not be called accidents so better safe than sorry.
Oh my gosh I can’t imagine being attacked by a bear or bobcat. I am glad you are OK. Thank you so much for the reminder that it is best to be prepared and safety tips!
Yeah, I learned my lessons the hard way. There were men that came running with guns when they heard my screaming and those of some children and were able to scare the bear off but it was a mother with cubs so it could have ended really bad. The other time, I was out by myself looking for my dog when I bent over to tie my shoes and was jumped from behind by the bobcat. Stupidity may have saved me that time as I thought it was the biggest nastiest tomcat I had ever seen and I just stood back up with it weighing down my shoulder and started calmly talking to it, lol, and then I saw a woman step out of a nearby cabin sweeping with a broom and called to her for help. Believe it or not, she just got wide eyed and went back in and shut the door! The bobcat jumped down and ran off after that. I do not know if it was because it’s bent over prey had stood up tall on two legs and made unusual sounds and maybe smelled like a cat, as I had a couple at home, or the person coming out was just one too many confusing factors but I was greatly relieved. Sadly, I later found out it had attacked other tourists in the resort area, including two children. So I never go anywhere without some basics just in case.
Also do not forget a park map and compass. We were once following a trail in a park my husband new well, uh huh, and we ended up realizing we had lost the main trail and had been following a deer trail! Then we saw tracks that looked bigger than a bobcats and as we had our two children with us, I was pretty worried. Good news is we finally came across an old fire road that I knew would take us back down mountain to the camp ground area. I had hurt my ankle along the way and my younger son ended up covered in seed ticks (baby ticks) which are very difficult to remove. Therefore, the reason for always carry compass, map, first aid kit, water, et. 😁
Ok, just wondering because we were considering downsizing from a GMC 1500 6.7 to the Gladiator but a friend who is a automotive engine expert was concerned about to wind in the mountains. Not that the Gladiator couldn’t do it but that the experience would be somewhat disappointing compared to the GMC.

Question about your Gladiator towing experience. When towing and going up a mountain, what does your rpm run?
Gosh, I have no idea!

U never show any camping just walking ,u didn’t even cook out there .
I appreciate your feedback! 😊
