Chaos Knights, combined with the Minotaurs of Khorne, kinda make me wonder if every chaos faction are gonna get some base chaos units from the WH1 factions. Like, are we gonna have basic Chaos Knights for each faction, Gorr heards, etc and they're just highlighting the more interesting choices? Either way, Doomnights and the Flamers sound FUN
I've missed the Tzaangors. The Khornite minotaurs were awsome in the Khorne list, and hoped Tzeentch will get a beastmen unit. Hopefully in TWW3 they will add Khorgor, Tzaangor, Pestigor and Slangor units to the Beastmen faction. (Really love the latest Slangor models which came out for the Hedonites of Slaanesh AOS faction)
I’m kind of surprised he only got three lores, aside from Kairos’ customizable spell book. All the Chaos dudes from game 1 have 4 lores, including Death and Shadows.
Each of the Chaos Gods except Khorne only had two lores in the Tabletop, Tzeentch had his own lore and Metal, Nurgle had his and Death, and Slaanesh had theirs and Shadows. Khorne had nothing. Undivided had Fire and the alternate lore for each of the magic-using Chaos Gods.
Khrone: WE HAVE HYPER AGRESSIVE TACTICS AND A LOVE FOR THE ULTRA VIOLENCE! Tzeentch: We prefer to nuke em from a distance and mop them up with flyers and calvary. Melee is usually there to sock up some damage. Nurgle: We weaken our enemies with crippling debuffs and watch them grind themselves to death against our durable units. Slaanesh: WE GOT TITS AND ASS!
interesting that the Warriors of Chaos that people were so worried about just straight up didn't get included. I guess they're being saved for a lord pack, better than just being reskins.

They don't say it explicitly but I'm expecting Kairos's fragment mechanics will be in addition to the normal Metal and Tzeentch lores all Exalted Lords of Change will get. I highly doubt they're going to stick the greatest spell caster in the realm of Chaos with a single lore at a time
With lack of Mutalith Vortex Beast for Tzeentch's roster on launch I feel like its so much incomplete Cause nothing tells Tzeentch more like walking mass of pure chaos causing mutations left and right

@@damiusmaximus7416 personally I'd argue that Death is a pretty big change too but ok. I'm sure modders will have Lords of Change with other lores soon enough after release. alongside wanting the Horrors to split that's one of the 2 main things I want modders to do once the game launches.
hopefully lords like Tamurkhan get released, maybe Tamurkhan's conquest comes as an in game event for the eastern nations? it would be a great challenge especially if it happened close to the chaos invasion event.
Potential anti Tzeentch strategies. 1. Dwarves obviously their inherent magic resistance will cut down the damage from all the magic flung at them additionally it looks like few of Tzeentch's units have armor piercing relying on the magic to get through armor so dwarves negate that but be aware of any metal casters and focus artillery on them. 2. Cavalry with a focus on range units means fast moving shock cav can run circles around them and the charge bonus can likely break through the barrier protecting them while avoiding the magic. If you have any other ideas go ahead and say them.
“The Gaze of Fate” having the same effect as Diao Chan’s unique ability from Three Kingdoms total war, where she distracts the enemy with her dancing so they can’t move, amuses me greatly. I am picturing Kairos doing a sexy chicken dance or something similar.
@Dreymon Green feel like it's really gonna depend on how though the barrier is. Like, chaos knights can stay in for a while, but if the barrier is decent enough, Forsaken might be all you need
I have never played any previous total war or total Warhammer titles, I am not a particularly gifted 4x player in any regard. But know that I will he maining tzeench from the first second I play this game.
Something I'm curious about is why no one brings up Kairo's thing about how one head tells only truth, and one head tells only lies, and which head is which switches. Somewhat less interesting then the See the Future and Past but not the Present, but still weird that not once its mentioned
Probably because it has little to do with battles and such. Hopefully they acknowledge it with his select/order responses, diplomacy dialogues and quest battle speeches though.
While the new units look cool, the roster as a whole is really disappointing and makes me really worried for the remaining chaos factions. Smallest roster size in the series, no chaos warriors or tzaanzagors of any kind, and about a quarter of the units are just recolors of 5 year old models. Honestly if Nurgle ends up the same way as tzeentch with no chaos warriors and so many recolors, I think I might just drop the game entirely.

There is Glean Magic...Tzeentch's answer to versatility (otherwise it's fireballs and firestorms of different colours).

Modders will take care of that in time, at least. There's already a unit promotion mod for game 2 I'm sure it'll be simple to port into game 3

Magic resistance doesn't exist anymore, it was changed for spell resistance which powers the damage taken from spells only.
Send in the googas and mantarays while the hover-board knights rip sweet ollies over the corpses of your enemies

@@Lynch2507 lorewise, I think Tzeentch hates Nurgle more than other gods since they're directly conflicting gods, Change and Stagnation respectively.

Yes for the disc guys. In one battle video they actually hid them on a flank behind cover that way, then re triggered the flying
