My teeth feel clean, it corrects you to brush the very bottom gum line of your lower teeth. The tracking is actually REALLY Accurate as of 12/1/22. Very impressed. Very happy. Complaints? I’m concerned about the mechanics getting corroded/dirty
I just got the oral b series 9. I had a cheap Amazon electric toothbrush and their was no comparison. The oral b series 9 spins so much faster than my cheap Amazon electric toothbrush.
I compared this with my sonicare using the latest A3 brush head and I believe the Oral B gives a better clean. My teeth still feel clean several hours later and my gums thoroughly massaged. I’ve never had this feeling before and will use the Oral-B as my main daily. I do wish it came with a toothbrush head holder
Thanks for the review. I just got this and couldn’t figure out the charging case. It didn’t say that the cord had to be plugged in to charge. I thought it was like a battery.
My Genius X broken and Oral B gave me this one. Excellent toothbrush, but refill are more expensive than my older Genius X. I hope Oral-B decrease refills price from iOs models.
Seriously thanks for your reviews. I've recently bought the IO9 and it is crazy brilliant. It was reduced over here and also gave away a travel pack and 2 toothpastes. I have an old Braun hanging around and it very noisy. Also the old version does not hold a charge. This is brilliant.
I use one of the genius models and am sufficiently happy that I’ll be sticking with that. On the IO 9 I’m surprised the travel case doesn’t include an extra battery for recharging while on a trip? Having the brushing location and time tracking is helpful even though I know how to brush and know how to count. But has the location accuracy improved noticeably over the previous Genius line? Finally, the Top of the Genius line offers: 1. Location tracking and timer. 2. More brushing modes than I need or use. 3. Pressure sensing 4. Ability to use the less expensive brush-heads and other compatible brush heads. Also shared (or better) on my genius: - no extra battery in the travel case - presumably similar battery degradation
When going from the 2 minute (plus) teeth brushing to tongue cleaning you dont get to see the 20 seconds counting on your phone unless you press the mode button to go to Tongue Clean without turning the brush power off. Is there a significant difference in how quiet/gentle the iO 9 is compared to older lines like the Genius or Smart brushes? My husband has a Smart Limited (I think it’s basically the Genius 6 rebranded) but I find it pretty loud and intense even on sensitive and gum care mode (not sure which of these is more gentle). It’s silly but I just like how the Genius lines look (like the rose gold) but I just keep wondering if the new motor style would work better for me and am worried I wouldn’t be able to get used to the older motor.
There is a difference, but I wouldn't really class it as significant. Whilst the iO series will be slightly softer and quieter, it isn't a day and night difference between them.
