    Barbells dumbbells kettlebells and clubbells are great for strength and conditioning towards enhancing athleticism. I like how Dane Miller puts it; the clean and power clean help you with Dynamic Trunk Control, which is extremely important for field sports

    1:17:15 , pretty much what I was going through until recently. Now I’m using the plate loaded super squat machine and steadily progressing after years of difficulty while squatting.

    Are you posting any videos of the workouts you guys did? Also are there any details of the 'warm up' that you were talking about?

    I do Bruce lee/bob Hoffman’s daily isometric routine and 750 body weight squats and 500 pushups a day. This may be what you’re talking about. I have some crazy speed doing this

      may I Ask how do you that daily ? do you do one long workout or spread the sets out throughout the day ?
      what is your isometric routine ?
      what was your 100 meter time before this routine and what is it now ?

      The isos take 5-10 minutes, it’s just 5-6 exercises for 6-12 seconds. 1 set only. The pushups and squats I super set with each other. I usually do 50/75 each set for 10 sets. I’ll do it in less or more sets depending on mood. I don’t really structure rest periods. I just get it done. I may take 10 minutes or 1 minute. I don’t actually have race times. I do sprint up stairs/hill periodically, but am just a strength enthusiast. Sorry about the lack of data

    This Duncan man sounds like a fitness-cultist who hates anything he can't associate himself with. From the whole elitist legacy and fake humbleness to the critique towards coaches who won't associate with him or pay him or associates money to receive his "approval", this is a case of problematic discourse over a podcast. But it's good that we saw it and now we can recognize the stereotype. He hides these problems against his apparently "balanced" approach. But he is a walking commercial.

      Guy - you wrote that whole thing just to call him a walking commercial? Coulda saved us a lot of time and just said he sucks…

      Im in the first half hour and hes talking about how being a multisport athlete is helpful and better for developing athletes. I think hes spot on about that. Is it later that he goes full seedman?

    • @ED-yo4qi
      @ED-yo4qi 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@kyleinwisc the issue starts when he starts slowly discrediting and belittling other potential trainers that are not associating with his principles. As a word trigger start: "Don't trust people who don't have mentors."
      This is a typical subtle trick to imply that "people who don't share my idols are infidels". Exaggeration was provided to highlight the type of mental approach towards people who don't come from the same background or with the same "credits".
      Science is constantly changing and besides the mix of theory and empirical knowledge, including constant testing... Everything else is dogma. He has a dogmatic tendency that is underlying, even if he tries to seem balanced and open.
