    Here is a tip for you if you ever build this kit again: The radiator/fans are numbered wrong in the instructions, you have the left one on the right and vice versa. Great build, hope you enjoyed it!

      Thanks mate. I did not even notice that. It was a fun build.

    Great build, the Panther is a really attractive tank, especially the G variant with the chin and steel wheels!

    That MIG camouflage putty is a great discovery, especially for novice modellers like me with poor quality airbrushes and limited airbrushing skills. I'll give it a try.

    I took a lighter to my PE and damaged it up! It takes all the spring out the PE and can work with it heck of alot better ! Even the round fan grill I just used my nail to make the ring indents in each ring like it was pressed through and pressed up agai inner fan housing when the guys were climbing over it n dinged the rectangular grills the dings pushed in perfect so realistic! Give it a try if haven't before I take a lighter to a my PE parts now for mesh n bed spring armour for Russian tanks!

    This the best build I have seen on a panther from dragon. I have only built kits from Tamiya and Academy. I want to try a Dragon kit. Do yo have any suggestions?
    What is the number of this kit?
    Thanks,
    Tim

    That's a geat paint job on the Dragon steel wheeled Panther G. As far as I know steel wheeled Panther Gs had crew compartment heaters in place.

      Thanks mate. I am not sure about the heaters. More research...lol

    what a good video mate, awesome work but just a little thing, this is not a panther G just because of the mantelet, they made the G's mantelet to counter "shot trap" on olds panther A and D , great job like i said, you re making me enthousiastic

    Looks really good my friend. I'm curious about why you didn't put the zimmerite coating on the tank before you did your outstanding paint job. There's several different ways to do it now days other than doing it the old fashioned way I've always done in the past.

    • @scalemodelmania
      @scalemodelmania  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks mate. I didn't want zimm on this one. I make zimm with tamiya putty and a stamp on most builds but i also have some with the zimm sheets for the more complex patterns. I used to do it with a soldering iron a long time ago which works well but is a very slow and delicate job.

    • @ennisanderson2719
      @ennisanderson2719 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      scalemodelmania. Thanks. I'm glad you didn't take my question the wrong way. I've heard about doing zimmerite tnhat way but never tried it. I've always used Squadron Green Stuff and an old micro-saw blade. I've got some decals for a Tiger but haven't tried it yet. I'd really appreciate a video on using the decals for zimmerite.

    • @scalemodelmania
      @scalemodelmania  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When i do my next build using the sheets i will do a video for you mate. I may even try to do a whole video on zimm finishes at some time. Just have to get some materials together.

      Most Panther G's were produced after Sept '44 which is when the german's stopped using zimm due to causing fires etc.

    Why did you bother installing the torsion bar suspension if you knew you were going cement the tracks in place??

  • @KC-GOD-IS.
    @KC-GOD-IS. 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    For telling people to be careful and read the instructions, why didn't you? As I see it you have the luver, the one you have on, on the wrong side. The two luvers were installed on the right (starbord) side radiator intakes, not one on the left (port) side.
