My buddy bought me this game and I've never played any of them. I went into not expecting to like it and I was fucking wrong. Love this game just finished the second case last night.
First time I played this I was like "where the hell is his objection?" And when I happened I just. It was beautiful. 2nd best one in the series. Number 1 for me is when Mia and wright do it at the same time in trials and tribulations
Loved this bit to death. For years I have joked about an "Objection Force", where clear-cut conviction of the truth can psychologically overwhelm those that are confident only through delusion. Very much inspired by Marvel vs. Capcom. Then this bit raw treated it as legitimate.
Holy shit I never thought of it that way. This is chronologically the first "Objection" depicted in the Ace Attorney series, and first in the Naruhodo-Wright bloodline.
Meanwhile in English... **Rynosuke does dramatic reveal of his objection, spinning around, hitting the desk, jumping around, clears his throat, ready to yell and...** objection. Everyone: ...!
Reminds me of PL vs PW:AA when Phoenix remembers who he is in Labyrinthia and his Objection theme plays for the first time (not the English Court version)

I'm so incredibly privileged to see my great friend's first roots planted in a court of law! It's a marvel how these scenes have been reconstructed in this here century for one to divulge in the memories of our present, with no need for time travel! Hah-- I even showed this to Mr Naruhodo himself, it was as if he was trapped solid in Medusa's glare!
Just wish I could use selective languages and have the Japanese characters use Japanese voice clips rather than having to have Van Zieks saying "IGIARI" as well
You know, that's something that kinda bothered me as well, i wish there was a way to have only the japanese characters use the japanese voice clips and have the british characters use the english clips
You deserve a sub for making me revisit a certain memory of the past. I love how this makes me remember the first time I played this game it was so epic hearing that objection! This really gave me the chills when I heard that objection thank you for appearing in my recomendation.
@@The_Big_Jay well i know nothing about english accents but I think it's british with a slight japanese influence. Only natural as his voice actor is a japanese descendant who now lives in uk
@@convection20 That sounds about right. It gives me the same sort of off center vibes as the voice of Erik in DQ11. His voice actor has a British accent, but his voice for the character is almost trying to imitate a New York Mobster type accent. It's very odd indeed. Anyway, his "Objection" should be a shout or something, and he seems to say it too fast. A slight pause, or extended syllable would help, like, "OB-JECTION!" would give it a better flow.
...ok, this looked _so_ much better w/ jp dub. I remember literally laughing my ahh off the first time he weeped that objection in english. What's worse is that i think it's just his english "objection" that sounds weak. The "scuse me!", the "take that!" all sounded pretty intimidating (as they should), as far as i can recall...
Its sad. When Phoenix was introduced in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, a mishap happened where his "Take THAT" was dubbed as "Take This. But later on, they patched it so he instead said "Take That" like he's supposed to. Yet, Capcom never bothered with getting a better Ryunosuke "Objection" take. His ENG voice is good in every other area EXCEPT the Objection.

Will forever remember a high level match where the top Phoenix (from X-men) team player was defeated by the top Phoenix WRIGHT team player. Especially since Phoenix is high/top tier whereas Phoenix Wright is considered low/bottom tier.

It’s because throughout the entire trial up until this point, he’s been a nervous wreck barely stringing his words together and mostly riding on the back of his best friend, Kazuma. It was this moment that we first see a focused, confident Ryunosuke find the contradiction everyone else overlooked but also begin to take charge of the case. His posture and face expressions change to be more intimidating which is a trend that continues throughout the cases as he grows as a character.
@@dbclass4075 Isn't it mentioned several times that he was taking an art major? Yumei's very prestigious and it would be safe to assume English classes are mandatory seeing as they even host declamation contests, which would only make sense if the whole student body knew the language.

Too few Japanese people are fluent enough to effectively teach English language to an entire university. Also, declamation contests are held in Japanese language. In the Defendant's Antechamber took place in Japan's Supreme Court of Judicature.

But that would't make sense. In the Old Bailey everyone speaks english, so it's natural that Japanese characters would use english voice clips too

I personally uses Japanese voices when the Trial is in Japan (1-1 ans 2-1) the other cases I just use English voices
