Hi Satoshi and Shinichi good to see you guy's yes who doesn't like a good steak and Kyoto need decilicous enjoy ur meal be safe God BLESS to all be safe
That looked like such an amazing meal. All of the food looked so scrumptious! How nice of them to bring you a special birthday dessert, too. You'll be remembering that for a long time. I'm so glad you got to go!
Ate here on your recommendation! It was awesome! Had the same friendly waiteress and coincidentally sat at the exact same table. The experience and food was wonderful!!
Hey guys! Currently we are filming in Hokkaido so we will get back to your comments when we get back. Thanks for watching and hope you guys are all having a fantastic week!
I went there last week for lunch. Staff was amazing! The Kobe beef was definitely melt in your mouth. Definitely on the pricier side, but definitely worth the experience! So Good!
I'm so glad you guys posted this! My husband and I have reservations to go there next Saturday! Looks like you had a great time. Thanks for sharing, as always!
What informative and friendly service! Your birthday meal looks incredible. I love how the strawberry yokan mimics the look of marbled beef. Happy belated birthday! 🎂🎁🍓🎊
Lawrence is the best! I'm only guessing he treated you for your birthday? What an awesome dinner experience you had. It's a "bucket list" item for me. Delish!!😸
I don't think I'd want to try kobe beef anyway but straight. No extra flavors and textures, just the pure, blissfullness that is kobe flavor (I suspect). Wonderful post and happy belated birthday.
Woow what an adventure to Eat Kobe the most Expensiv Meat in the World. What a Treat,That meat looks sooo Good my Friend. It was fun watching you enjoying it.
Well, this is definitely on my list of places to eat in Tokyo!! My fiancé and I are planning on going to Japan for our honeymoon and I cannot stop watching your videos!! Almost every place you go to, I keep writing it down!! I'm even learning a bit of Hiragana just to get me from point A to point B!! Thank you, Shinichi and Satoshi and friends!!!
I have heard only the most wonderful things about Kobe beef. I wonder why it tastes stronger than regular beef. It looks fantastic, and judging by your words and expressions, it's beyond even that! So hearing that it melts in your mouth like no other meat, means that I am writing this on my bucket list, this second! 511 is the place to dine when in Tokyo. I wrote that down too! Thanks for the great episode guys!
regular japanese beef is already amazing, can't imagine how awesome Kobe beef is! Can't wait to visit Japan in the autumn! Kobe beef is on my list to try.
Your friend (Patrick? Memory broken...) Looked like he was going to cry a few times! Such beautiful meat! And the price is comparable to a fine steak restaurant here like Flemings, where the quality might be that good, but definitely not level 12 marbling! LOL, we went out last night and had a sirloin, about $15USD with a salad and rice pilaf. It was.... acceptable. Edible. Not melt in the mouth tender, but juicy. A bit overly spiced. I did have Kobe once in Okinawa, just a bite, and wow, it was heavenly! I think I've been searching for that perfection ever since!
+bcgrote don't worry my friend. Actually this is Laurence. Patrick went home awhile back. Although i've had various cuts of wagyu, this was my first time trying Kobe Beef. It really was special I tell you.
Definitely something one should try during his life. We had a tiny japanese-italian restaurant here in Rome that I liked so much that served Kobe beef, but I never actually had the time to try it since it closed so suddenly. It was a really interesting place. Cooks were japanese people from an italian restaurant in Tokyo that came to Rome to learn our regional cousine. I swear to god that they made such wonderful fusion dishes. Sadly its medium-high prices, its position in the city and the fact that the chefs were not italian (causing prejudice, I think, in italian people) didn't help it to remain open. It's called "Il Pacioccone" if one day you are interested in finding its Tokyo counterpart. I'm sure it would make a really interesting episode :)
The Kobe beef cows are treated like royalty! Every 4 cows has a keeper, I believe, and they get hand massage to help the muscles be tender and make the fat develop. So that explains the cost! Worth it!!
Wow! Those look sooooooo~ delicious! One day, I'll have that.... No, I'll treat my parents and myself to this one day :) thanks for introducing this amazing restaurant guys, really appreciate it
Will be in Tokyo in 2 weeks and after watching this video I am highly debating if my husband and I should try this same kobe beef course at that restaurant. Did you need reservations? It's pretty expensive, but it soooooo looks worth it! Great video, as usual! :)
+Strawburreh87 we totally recommend this restaurant. Reservations are high,y recommended and English is spoken. Make sure to let them know you e seen them on tabieats and they will treat you e en better!
That is awesome! I have a chance to try Kobe Beef here in Kansas at a place called Kanai but it costs about $100 for it. So yeah I wish I could afford it. *sighs*
Wow..again I learn something new from your video. Question : This is the 3rd or 4th time I've heard obvious American conversations - are there 'that' many Americans over there or is it because the restaurant is 'must visit'? (Or is it just coincidence?) Cheers - Happy late Birthday
OMG That's an AMAZING birthday dinner! And happy birthday!......again! Lolol! But you deserve TONS of happy birthdays so I'll just keeping saying it. ;) I recently (earlier this week) went to a grill that served kobe beef, but it was very expensive so we had to pass. *cry* Their normal beef was amazing, but watching you guys eat kobe made me wish I were rich enough to afford it! Heheh! I'm so glad you got to eat some! :D
Ahhhh! That looks so good! A strawberry yokan recipe would be awesome. My hope is for one day to be able to get to eat some kobe beef. I'm glad you had a great birthday Shinichi. Happy Belated Birthday!
This is pure food porn!! OMG it looked so so good even for someone who's never ordered a steak in my entire life! Lol Shinichi, you definitely know how to celebrate your birthday in style! 🙌🏻🎉
+TabiEats I do, but just not more than 1 or 2 mouthfuls.. I'm not a huge meat eater, most days I eat vegetarian or vegan meals, not intentionally, but just somehow ending up with no meat or dairy on my plate lol. Think Chinese people at least my generation and the ones before me are more used to eating/using meat as a seasoning, so huge chunks of meat like steak and hamburger are a little too much for me. :)
FoodishBeauty ahhh I see. Actually it's the same with us, which is why I probably never had Kobe beef before! However served this way in kaiseki was perfect because it wasn't necessarily beef overdose.
+johnny chang I noticed that too! I was thinking it would make sense if they looked for multi-lingual people for employees because it's probably a big tourist spot.
sorry guys in so ill at moment I think plain boiled rice is just for me but looks yummy when I'm better lol meat looks raw haha moo mooo enjoy guys xxx
what i take from this video...there must be many "kobe" steak places that do not have actual "kobe" rated quality beef. only 1 in a 1000 head make the grade. you would think the ranchers would learn how to in crease the odds. genetics must play a part in it.
ino12badayu no bruh its 1 in 1000 kobe cows make the highest grade. basically theres a huge difference between the low end of kobe beef and the best. japan usually dont export that much of kobe beef and if they do, expect it to be of the lower grade. But yeah many restaurants are just using the name to profit. Real good quality kobe beef is 100 plus usd for 100g at minimum
Hi Satoshi and Shinichi good to see you guy's yes who doesn't like a good steak and Kyoto need decilicous enjoy ur meal be safe God BLESS to all be safe

+Critical Eats Japan yes exactly. And from different parts of the cow too.
I have heard only the most wonderful things about Kobe beef. I wonder why it tastes stronger than regular beef. It looks fantastic, and judging by your words and expressions, it's beyond even that! Juanelo! Fancy meeting you here :)
OH! This was a very informative video! I don't eat meat that much anymore but I would taste this for sure, not a whole meal but a couple bites!!
regular japanese beef is already amazing, can't imagine how awesome Kobe beef is! Can't wait to visit Japan in the autumn! Kobe beef is on my list to try.
You have got excellent content mate.
That looks soooo good!!!
+Erena S this was amazing!
okay I have to ask this question... How much did all of this cost you in American dollars?
im soo jealous!!! i want to try and eat it all!!!
+AllasYummyFood this was pure heaven!

+bcgrote yes! I never knew that the cow has to come from the same bloodline. It was very interesting to learn this at the restaurant.
so awesome how they suprised you!! i normally eat meat well done, but this looks quite tasty enough to try medium lol ;D
+Danisa Mishima same here. I usually have mine medium well but this one would just melt if cooked too long.
Wow! Those look sooooooo~ delicious!
One day, I'll have that.... No, I'll treat my parents and myself to this one day :)
thanks for introducing this amazing restaurant guys, really appreciate it
from my trip to Japan, I think it's much rarer than Kobe beef to find a staff who can speak such fluent English..... lol
Fantastic restaurant ! Stop when ever in town
Happy Birthday!
Such a lovely birthday dinner :))
Japanese beef is the best
Thankyou for the subtitles!
oh my! of course I have to put that on my list!

That is awesome! I have a chance to try Kobe Beef here in Kansas at a place called Kanai but it costs about $100 for it. So yeah I wish I could afford it. *sighs*
+Tania LoNero yep, our course coat around $130 US per person so it's definitely a splurge.
Wow..again I learn something new from your video. Question : This is the 3rd or 4th time I've heard obvious American conversations - are there 'that' many Americans over there or is it because the restaurant is 'must visit'? (Or is it just coincidence?)
Cheers - Happy late Birthday
Hi Shinichi , Kobe beef looks great ! Now if I can just convince the good folks at In-N-Out burger to give it a try ! " Happy Birthday " ! ( ^ . ^ )
OMG That's an AMAZING birthday dinner! And happy birthday!......again! Lolol! But you deserve TONS of happy birthdays so I'll just keeping saying it. ;)

Sooo, succulent!
I've seen wagyu at my local butcher shop, but at 150+ €/kg i'm not sure i'll be tasting it any time soon, hehe.
+Carlos Vives oh yeah, we have never bought Kobe beef at the store because it's even more expensive than the restaurant, who knows why?
Was this the best restaurant to eat kobe beef in tokyo? I'm going there next month!
It was one of the best and the service is top notch! Pretty reasonable for kobe beef too!
why didn't you put the cost in the description. let the viewers decide if its reasonable.
The cost of their meal was clearly on the menu.
i want some...........
+Shun 林 wish I could give kobe beef to all my viewers! :) Thanks for watching!
I only know the name of this restaurant by videos or blogs for foreign tourists...
this place was really delicious! And the price wasn't really too bad.
This is pure food porn!! OMG it looked so so good even for someone who's never ordered a steak in my entire life! Lol Shinichi, you definitely know how to celebrate your birthday in style! 🙌🏻🎉
+FoodishBeauty ohhh I can't remember exactly but you don't eat steak? I remember you weren't too keen on eating pork if I remember correctly.
+TabiEats I do, but just not more than 1 or 2 mouthfuls.. I'm not a huge meat eater, most days I eat vegetarian or vegan meals, not intentionally, but just somehow ending up with no meat or dairy on my plate lol.
How does it taste compared to veal? Does the waitress come from the states? She has a perfect English pronunciation.
+johnny chang I noticed that too! I was thinking it would make sense if they looked for multi-lingual people for employees because it's probably a big tourist spot.
+johnny chang actually she was born and raised in China. She's a student here in Tokyo. Her English was perfect.
Omg!!! Kobe beef :O
I think I understand the phrase "food porn" for the first time. Wowwww!
+Katherine Nelson so glad you enjoyed this. :)
Like now Im jealous:)
did you guys share the course menu?
+Aaron Christian Chan nope. we both had our own!
TabiEats Thanks. its really an expensive course menu. anyway will still go to try.
sorry guys in so ill at moment I think plain boiled rice is just for me but looks yummy when I'm better lol
meat looks raw haha
moo mooo
enjoy guys xxx
It's medium rare not raw
Where is this restaurant located?
This is located in Akasaka. I should have a link to the restaurant in the description.
Ohhhhhh Laurence!!!
+onukiseijin

why'd she say sheshe at the end?
