    • @m_sedziwoj
      @m_sedziwoj 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Problem with "too close" is not only radiation from CRT (and in first adaptation of LCD), but one more thing, and is not physical. Is about image moving too fast, it may cause problems with perception, but is not problem with VR because they have larger refresh rate, and for your brain image (as element brain observe) not move to fast in angular velocity.

    Quick advice on reducing eyestrain, use flux to reduce blue light emited by your screen, ccfl monitors are easier on the eyes then leds, if you use a led backlit device make sure that it has blue light filters and that it does not use pwm for reducing brightness by flickering as that in combination with leds can make you motion sick.

    • @DatBoiMV
      @DatBoiMV 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It also mean that you could be siting at 80cm from your 19.7" 1080p to be at the optimal distance. If you realy want to stick that close at 0.5m(50cm) yes then you should but all that ratio is valid only for the 1080p resolution. Usualy a 12.3 ich monitor will more likely be 720p or lower res and you can sit at a longer distance from 720p than 1080p. in fact siting at a 0.5meters from a 19.7 inches monitor your resolution shoul be 4k and you'd be about at a right distance. in other word i think you sit to close for a 19.7 inches monitor.

    I work with AutoCAD for 8 hours per day, I can say from experience that staring at a fixed distance close to you without blinking enough or taking breaks does cause PERMANENT eye-sight damage. Over the past 5 years I have slowly become more near-sighted.
    Also, in contrast to this video (based on other info/personal exp), I have found that having a light source behind your monitor that's brighter than your monitor is worse than having the lights off while staring at a monitor...I tend to feel relief when the lights are off while i'm using a computer.
    Also, for those with windows 10 creator's build--use the Night Light App! It gives you a red tint and dims your screen to help with eye strain and sleeping.

    I spend a tone of my time on my pc and I can guarantee you that it will eventually damage your eyes. My vision is perfect up to the distance of my monitor, anything further away from that point gets blurrier and blurrier.

    • @Erowens98
      @Erowens98 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's why you have a window near by to rest your eyes by looking at distant landscape. Eyes adjusting to interior view distances and lighting is actually a real thing, and doesn't apply solely to monitors.

    Waaaat?? I don't stay in front of the TV! I lay in bed on my back, and put the TV on my face...
    Are you hunting ''honey bees''? What's up with the ending?
    I'm so afraid of radiation, that I did not buy a TV! I bought binoculars in stead...
    I use them to watch on my neighbor's TV.
    ''How Far Should You Sit From Your Screen''? The recommended distance is 50-100m. That's why I watch on my new 100'' TV, from my neighbor's house, with his wife, when he's not home...

    If you focus at the same distance for too long all the time your eyes will eventually get used to that distance and have trouble focusing further. This is exactly why I wear glasses now even though nobody else does in my family. Close or extended. I can see clearly up till the distance of my arms length (the distance I sit from the monitor). After that it starts going slighly blurry

      Actually, it should be 4 Intel Coffeelake cores and 4 Ryzen cores on an AMD APU Die, connected with Infinity fabric, alongside NVidia GPU/CUDA cores. And on-board HBM memory. With L1, L2, and L3 Cache on-die as well. At a 16-Watt TDP, and clocked at 4.7GHz. Compatible with DDR3 and DDR4, with on-die RAID controller and video encoding hardware (acceleration). The truest of RGB wet dreams...
