    Can you kinda add the cost of the kit thanks for the video great job

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV

      Depending on the year of your truck, and the options you want from the kit itself, you're looking at anywhere from $1150-$1400 for a complete kit. You'll need to factor in the cost of the belt, refrigerant, coolant, etc... but we'd estimate no more than $1500 start to finish if you're doing the install yourself. Check out these kits and more for your Chevy or GMC truck on our website at www.brotherstrucks.com/ or call us at 800-977-2767. Thank you!

    How does this differ from the Vintage Air system?

    • @sherwinstaudt1881

      I would like to know that too, I think I'd rather roll down the window and get fresh air then cut holes in my firewall, out of all the comments they did not answer yours, I guess they're just interested in selling their product.
      I guarantee mine will stay Factory.

    I’ve ordered a new West Coast Engines 350 for my factory A/C ‘70 C10. The engine will be turn key with a new condenser on it. Do you sale this kit w/o the condenser?

    Have you got kits for Canadian delivered trucks so right hand drive c10 pickups? (‘79 c20 right hand drive, no factory ac)

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have nothing for that specific application. You should contact Old Air or Vintage Air and see if they can help you out. Maybe they can combine some parts from their universal kits and some from the standard '79 kit to handle the right hand drive.

    My 68C20 did not come with factory air. Will I need to use another radiator or can I use my existing 3 core?

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can use the factory 3 row radiator unless you begin having cooling issues after installing the A/C, although we doubt that would happen.

    I have a 1971 C10 non ac cab .Does it come with a template to make it a in dash factory ac cab style ? Thanks

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The kit does NOT come with templates to do factory style vents in the dash. The vents that come with the kit hang below the dash, if you're trying to do a factory look then you'd have to order the vents separately and cut them in yourself.

    The AC condenser seems kinda far off the radiator, I'm adding an AC to my 1970 and I've read that they should be 1/2 off the radiator, I'm confused now, could I mount it infront of the radiator support like you did? What's the correct distance?

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The factory condenser was mounted in the exact same location as this. We're not aware of any industry standard for distance between the core and radiator. From our own experience, we've had a condenser get too hot from being right up against the radiator, and the extra heat over pressurized the AC system and caused the compressor to start leaking.

    • @adrianrios4949
      @adrianrios4949 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BROTHERSTruckPartsTV hmmm that's interesting, yeah I remember my Camaro also wasn't mounted too close to radiator, this was a 75 Camaro, I'm going to mount the condensor from my 1970 truck in the same location as you guys did, hopefully it works good, I'm using a dealer installed evaporator under dash unit, I still haven't crimped the hoses so maybe I should do this before I have the hoses made. 🤔🤔
